1965 Falcon " Barn Find " Drag Race Car,  I will tell you what I know. The owner died a few months ago and little is known about the car. I barley knew him and only spoke to him 2 times before he passed .  He did run it yearly and kept it maintained. ( Run the engine and keep fluids going ) . It has not been professionally raced in over 10 years . It will need updating. It ran the low 10's with a 289 in it .  I have not found anyone who ever saw it run with this engine in it ?   I HAVE NOT STARTED  THE CAR !  It is a tube front chassis with upper and lower tublar a arms and disc brakes with rack and pinion steering. It is an automatic with reverse valve body and high rpm torque converter. It has an older rachet shifter with a  line lock . The rear was tubbed it has leaf springs and ladder bars .  The tires are shot and  were size  15-33 1/2 by 15 . The fronts are shot and do not hold air for long. It is fully caged and has a full metal panel interior with lexan windows on the doors. racing seat and harness . rev limiter and an electric control for all functions to start the car and race it.  electric water pump. the engine has Cleveland style Roush heads and intake. The rockers are roller type. I do not know what cam is in it. I was told by his friend and Daughter he spent over $3500.00 alone for heads and intake .  Has  tach with shift indicator light  and 3 gauge set .  Fuel cell , electric fuel pump  . I want to sell as a complete car but will sell as a roller. NOTE : " I will take $6000.00 as a Roller " with no trans or engine or shifter.  NOTE : I will close the sale if someone comes to me with cash for the car as a roller . No promises :  but cash in my hand before I would even start to pull the running gear. or pull the ad off of Ebay .   THE CAR IS BEING SOLD AS A RACE CAR WITH A " BILL OF SALE ONLY "  NO TITLE  is available. I will give the buyer a copy and the original of the Notarized Bill of Sale I received from the original owners Daughter , as she is the person who inherited the car at the time of his death. She had no title and he owned the car for over 20 years and built it from a bare shell.  DO NOT EMAIL  and tell me what an old car it is and how it isn't worth anything.  If it wasn't worth anything why do you want it " on the cheap "???  I am sick of people who want something for nothing. The car is complete and does need work. It is well worth the asking price. I was not going to re-list it but here it is. This is my bottom price !!! This is an older PRO BUILT CAR that will get you into racing cheap. You could possibly  get a title , I didn't try . Car comes with no warranty  . AS-IS on the floor and out the door .  It does have a vin on the drivers door . YOUR CHANCE TO GO RACING CHEAPLY .

What an Atlas-based Ford F-150 might look like

Thu, 27 Jun 2013

Just ahead of January's Detroit Auto Show, surprising rumors pegged Ford as revealing some sort of F-150 concept, perhaps as a hurried effort to deflate some of the buzz building around General Motors' new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins, which were also making their auto show debut. Those rumblings turned out to be true, as Ford rolled into the Motor City with its Atlas concept (inset, right), touting the truck's bold styling as a precursor to the next-generation F-Series.
The show truck featured all kinds of clever details, including active wheel shutters and a front air dam that raised and lowered to improve aerodynamics while preserving off-road ability. It also had a genuinely snarly face. And it's that pugnacious snout that may well be on its way to production. The good folks at TopSpeed have worked up the plausible-looking artist's rendering above by cross-referencing the Atlas concept with what little has been revealed from recent spy shots. The look is toned-down pretty dramatically from the concept truck, but its Atlas roots are clear, with a massive three-bar grille and bracket-shaped headlamps hiding a next-generation EcoBoost engine. In the rendering, the show truck's deeply contoured hood and roofline have been ditched and larger, more traditional side mirrors have been fitted - all likely concessions in the move to production sheetmetal.
While Ford has yet to officially announce when it will unveil the 2015 F-150, all signs point to next year's Detroit Auto Show - one year after the Atlas shrugged off GM's new pickups.

Seinfeld's Porsches, '61 Ferrari lead the way at Gooding Amelia Island sale

Tue, Mar 1 2016

If you're in the market for a sports car with celebrity provenance or just an incredibly well-preserved high-performance machine, then you'll want to check out Gooding & Company's Amelia Island auction in Florida on March 11. The highlight of the sale is likely 18 cars, mostly Porsches, from Jerry Seinfeld's collection, but there's more to see than just the comedian's sporting metal. While several of Seinfeld's cars carry auction estimates in the millions, they aren't the most valuable at the sale. That honor falls on a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider, which could sell for between $15 million and $17 million. This one is among the 37 examples with covered headlights, and it has some theatrical provenance after appearing in the Sophia Loren film Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow. If your tastes skew more American, then one of 31 Ford GT40 MKI road cars is also among the lots. Gooding expects the rare coupe to sell for between $3.2 million and $3.6 million. Ford originally used this GT40 for dealer promotions, but it eventually fell into private hands. Even today, its multiple owners have only covered around 3,200 miles in it. Gooding also expects a 1931 Duesenberg Model J Disappearing-Top Convertible Coupe with a body by Murphy to bring $2.5 million to $3 million. The auction house claims this might be the "most original" example left because of a history of owners who kept it for long periods – and the vehicle never needed a complete restoration. Some lots carry more attainable estimates like $35,000 for a 1962 MGA. You can check out all the listings on Gooding's online catalog and some of the highlights in the gallery above. You've probably read the news about Seinfeld's Porsches, but here's a refresher: The collection includes amazing cars like a 550 Spyder, 917/30 Can-Am Spyder, and a 718 RSK. Related Video:

Hot Wheels Ford Transit Connect is worth more if we keep it in the box

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

If the 2014 Transit Connect is anything like it's utile current-generation predecessor, and we suspect it is, it will undoubtedly be one of the most functional vehicles in North America. Ford has used the occasion of SEMA to turn the TC in to things that both make use of that functionality, and occasionally sort of wreck it in the name of good old-fashioned fun. The Ford Hot Wheels Transit Connect most certainly falls into that second category.
Most TC owners might cite the vehicle's massive cargo capacity as its top positive trait, though in the case of this wide-bodied Transit said space has been sapped in the name of a 55-inch television screen, a massive Hot Wheels drag strip (continuing a popular theme at SEMA this year) and custom storage for dozens of models from one's personal hot wheels collection. Designers have also plucked the grippy Recaro seats from the Focus ST, and thrown in a pair of 18-inch tablet screens for connectivity on the go.
Naturally, the Transit Connect wouldn't be an appropriate SEMA vehicle, or Hot Wheels name-bearer, if it weren't wearing an eye-popping appearance package. Additional homage to the Focus RS can be found in the blazing blue and orange front fascia and bumpers, while 20-inch wheels make sure the wider (four-inches in front and six-inches in the back) Transit Connect sits just right. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder-engine that powers the Hot Wheels TC ensures that the concept is more show than go, but you probably had that pegged from your first look, anyway.
