I am selling a 1964 Ford Falcon. The car was a shell with the frontend cut out when I purchased it. It turned out to be a 6 year project. I started by sanding body down to bare metal. I cut out all rust which was minimal. I purchased and installed a Rod and Custom Motorsport crossmember and tubular control arms along w/ steering shaft kit and purchased Flaming River u-joints. I did all bodywork and applied self etching valspar 440 primer. I purchased a 1977 Ford Mustang 2 Cobra and utilized the engine and C4 transmission, along with power rack and spindles and gas pedal and shifter. Engine was rebuilt and balanced by local speedshop. Bored to .030, new pistons and rings, bearings and crane 260h cam. Comp cams dual roller timing set. Heads were ground, all new valves, seals, springs and shimmed for height. Ford Racing stainless shorty headers which have been wrapped. Holley Contender aluminum dual plenum intake, Holley 390cfm 4160 model carb and KN filter and fuel pressure gauge. Edelbrock aluminum high volume water pump and new aluminum radiator w/ remote trans cooler. Flex-lite fan w/ therm switch preset at 180 degrees.Entire interior and undercarriage received 2 coats of POR 15 paint. Undercarriage then got 2 coats of 3m undercoating. Dash, trim panels, doors and engine compartment got 3 coats primer and 3 coats of charcoal gray acrylic enamel. Body received 3 coats primer and 5 med coats of Hotrod black acrylic urethane. New Richmond 3:00/1 gears, bearings and races in rear axle. Installed new dual reservoir master cylinder and power booster. Power brakes w/front discs and rear drums and all new shoe springs and small parts. New custom driveshaft w/ Spicer slip yoke. New front coil springs, and all new shocks at each corner. New leaf spring shackles and bushings. Front and rear sway bars. Dual exhaust w/ flex couplers and glass pack mufflers. Bucket seats, black carpet, front floor and firewall are insulated. Roll bar, Sony CD player is mounted cleanly under dash. Factory radio is still in deluxe dash and uncut.Entire car has been rewired w/ 77 fuse panel installed in steel glove compartment. New heater blower motor, plenum and defrost ducts along w/ tubing. All brake lines, fuel lines and tranny lines have been replaced w/ stainless flex lines running to calipers. Auto meter gauges, 15 gallon fuel cell. All window, door, windshield and rear window seals have been replaced except 2 vent windows. New window fuzzies. I never got around to buying interior door handles but have original stainless trim pieces. Also never found a rear bumper and just made one out of 2x2 tubular steel when car was on jackstands. Also made custom front wheel well liners from newer car to eliminate rust above headlight pods. This car turns alot of heads. I did not build it to drive to a carshow and win awards. I built it to drive with minimal maintenance and run on regular unleaded fuel. I have aprox. 5000 miles on car since it was assembled. It also has BF Goodrich radial ta's mounted on Cragar superspoke wheels that are like new. This car fires right up, and drives great with no leaks. It is sold as is with no warranty, and buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping. Please feel free to ask me any questions about the car.

Ford Tourneo ready for duty in Connect, Courier and Custom flavors [w/videos]

Wed, 06 Mar 2013

Ford was relatively quiet at the Geneva Motor Show, but it did take the opportunity to roll out its new family of Tourneo vans: the Courier, Connect, Grand Connect and Custom. As the passenger version of the Transit cargo vans, the new range of Tourneo models vary from the B-segment Courier up to the fullsize Custom. The Connect and Grand Connect are based on the redesigned 2014 Ford Transit Connect.
With an overall length just three inches longer than the Fiesta hatchback, the Tourneo Courier seats four to five passengers, and it offers a choice of three engines: the 1.0-liter EcoBoost or two small diesels. Like the 2014 Transit Connect was saw in Paris last year, the Tourneo Connect comes in a five-seat configuration while the Grand Connect can seat seven. Finally, the Tourneo Custom seats up to nine passengers, and it is available in two lengths up to 210 inches long putting it just six inches shorter than a standard-length E-Series van and about a foot longer than the Explorer.

Lincoln Continental production likely to shift to Flat Rock

Fri, Jun 12 2015

Lincoln production may be returning to Michigan, according to a new report from Automotive News. While the brand's current big sedan, the MKS, is built alongside the Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer, and their Police Interceptor counterparts at the Blue Oval's Chicago, IL factory, the production version of the Continental won't be screwed together in the Windy City. According to AN, "industry sources" claim the Continental will join the Ford Mustang and Ford Fusion – on which the big Lincoln is loosely based – at the company's Flat Rock, MI factory. The move isn't just based on convenience, though. Ford is selling a lot of Explorers, and shifting Lincoln production away from Chicago Assembly frees up production capacity for the popular SUV. "Chicago Assembly Plant is vital to our global manufacturing footprint and will continue to manufacture the Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer and Police Interceptor vehicles even after we phase out production of the MKS in 2016," Ford told Automotive News. "We will continue to match production to demand." Looking at the numbers further backs up the argument against Lincoln production in Chicago. Last year alone, Ford built nearly 285,000 Explorers and over 73,000 Taurus sedans, compared to just 8,300 Lincolns. Finally, as AN tells it, Ford is almost telegraphing the Continental's arrival in Flat Rock. The facility has a four-week shut down scheduled from June 15 through July 13, which is twice as long as the typical summer vacation, while there's another two weeks off slated for September. How Ford hid the 2015 Mustang from spy photographers

Fri, 20 Dec 2013

Now that we've finally seen the 2015 Ford Mustang, it's fun to go back and look at the spy shots we spent months pouring over, trying to dissect what was under all the camouflage. For the most part, Ford did a good job of concealing the car from spy photographers, and it released a video showing how much work went into doing so.
As crude as the Mustang's camo looked, all of the hard plastic, foam, vinyl and ratchet straps were actually created and put in place by a specific design team. The whole idea was to hide the car's identity, but it certainly ended up acting as a magnet for attention, too. According to Ford's press release, it took less than an hour for spy shots to appear online after the car was taken on public roads for the very first time - this is likely in reference to our first official spy shots of the Mustang from June, shown in the gallery below.
Scroll down for a press release and video, which shows footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang testing with minimal camouflage. This is probably the same track session where we got our first look at the Mustang's face back in August.
