1963 Ford Falcon Sprint on 2040-cars

I am having to relist this car due to a hacked Ebay account that resulted in a non sale. I have for sale a 1963 ford falcon sprint.This car is a project car and does not run. The car does not have a motor or transmission installed. This car is one of about 10000 sprints made in 63. This car was orginally equipped with a 260 V-8 and a 2 speed automatic transmission. The body is very solid and for the most part rust free, the floor pans are solid and rust free aswell. The exterior is very straight with a few exceptions, the right side quarter panel does have a small patch panel that was not repaired correctly. The rear of the car in the gas cap area was hit and partially repaired but needs to be finished. The battery tray area has a patch panel covering it from the engine compartment, the battery tray is rusted out, please see the picture from under the right front fender that shows the backside of the battery tray. There is some small dings and dents on the body, normal for a 51 year old car. The interior is missing the both front seats and the rear seat along with the center console and carpet. I do have a new grill and windshield that come with the car. This is a very solid california car that can be a very nice car when finished. Nelson Piquet and Nigel Mansell revisit bitter F1 rivalry in... Ford Fusion campaign?
Wed, 23 Jan 2013Formula One World Champions Nelson Piquet and Nigel Mansell haven't been on good terms since the 1986 season, when Piquet joined Mansell at the Williams team and Piquet spent the year privately fuming about not being granted the status of number one driver. Things only got worse from there - even though Piquet won the title the following year with Williams, still partnered with Mansell, the fuming was a lot less private.
They're back together after a 25-year silence, in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil to drive the new Ford Fusion. Called "Fusion Grand Prix," both men get the new Ford sedan, prepped to their liking - but still street legal, we assume - for a race to decide... well, who is faster behind the wheel of a Fusion.
There will be four episodes, with the first two having already aired. The third episode comes on January 29 and the race happens February 5. You'll find two video episodes and a press release below, but note - because it's a campaign for Ford Brazil, Piquet's dialogue in the vids isn't translated, so hit the Closed Captioning button to hear his side of the smack talking.

$1.8 million is spent each year to maintain GM's fleet of 600 production and concept cars.
When at least two of the Detroit Three were on the verge of death a few years back, one of the tough questions that was asked of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler execs - outside of why execs were still taking private planes to meetings - was why each company maintained huge archives of old production and concept vehicles. GM, for example, had an 1,100-vehicle collection when talk of a federal bailout began.
