1963 Ford Falcon Original Paint 2dr Futura Hot Rat Street Rod Gasser Nice Clean! on 2040-cars
Jefferson City, Missouri, United States
Here is a VERY nice and VERY original 1963 Ford Falcon Futura 2dr sedan. This car has been in our family for over 20 years. It has been in indoor storage the past 10 years. Original paint, interior etc. Never restored. Very clean non restored car. 67967 actual miles. My mother drove this car to shows and cruise nights for several years and it has won many awards. Has been setting for 7-8 years. It fired right up with a hot battery and fresh gas less than a week ago. Engine is a 170 CI 6 cyl and sounds like a sewing machine!! Trans shifts good, rearend had new bearings and seals shortly before being parked. Carb had been rebuilt, and could probably use a basic kit from setting, but it did fire up and run, just didnt want to idle well. Brakes also work, but are sticking also due to setting. I think it would be fine with just a wheel cyl kit and fresh fluid. Shoes are good. Tires are like new, but are at least 10 years old. Paint is all original, some typical chips and blems from a 52 years of age, but shines and shows very well. Under side of car is also very clean, just dirt and cob webs from setting. Interior is Excellent for its age, no tears, or damage other than a couple dark age spots here and there, great carpet etc. Very impressive original interior for a car of this age!!! Am radio works as it should, all guages etc also work. E brake, heater, wipers all work as they should. All good glass and seals. 1 small star in windshield, was repaired many years ago, but is visible. All suspension steering etc is still good and tight and works smoothly. Some extra parts include: grill and headlight rings, several extra carbs, extra guage cluster, extra matching hub cap, and some extra body trim, and 2 spare pass side front fenders, and possibly a few other parts I may have forgotten about. This is as clean of an original un-restored old Falcon as you could ask to find. In a short weekend it could be show and cruise night ready. Hate to sell it as it has been in the family a long time, but I can no longer stand to see it just sit. Someone should be out enjoying it. Feel free to call with questions at (573)338-5356. a deposit of 20% due within 48 hours of autions end, and full payment within 5 working days, unless arrangements are made prior to auctions end. I can store free of charge for 40 days as long as it has been paide for. $15 per day after, unless other arragements are agreed upon. I can help load onto a trailer etc, but arrangements are to be made by the purchaser. Im sure I may have missed something, or left something out, so feel fre to ask questions. If you have to ask your wife or girlfriend for permission, please have it BEFORE bidding!!! This car has been in storage for a while, and is NOT road ready, but easily put back on the road, so plaese keep that in mind. Thanks for looking. |

Ford unveils next-gen S-Max in Europe
Tue, 16 Sep 2014Let's get this unfortunate though important tidbit out of the way right off the bat: The Ford S-Max isn't sold in the United States, and it's not coming here, at least not anytime soon. And so it's with our European friends in mind that we share this information about the next-gen S-Max (previewed about a year ago in concept form) that is set to debut all across Europe next year and will be shown off at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. Now, moving on...
As with the first-gen S-Max, the new model will boast seating for seven passengers, along with a decent amount of storage space, all packed into a relatively reasonably sized package. Powering the front wheels (or optionally all four) will be the buyer's choice of EcoBoost gasoline-turbocharged or turbo-diesel four-cylinder engines along with automatic and manual transmission options. Included in the mix is a new 1.5-liter EcoBoost with 160 horsepower, though the 240-horse 2.0 is likely to be seen as the headliner.
There are all kinds of new technologies on offer, ranging from Adaptive Steering to Dynamic LED Headlamps with Glare-Free Highbeams, and it's all housed inside new, more sleekly designed bodywork riding atop a chassis with new suspension architecture designed to make the S-Max a people-hauler that's still fun to drive. For all the details, we suggest you scroll down below to read through Ford's official press release.
Watch these Australian Ford and Holden muscle cars duke it out
Wed, 21 Aug 2013Australia's Motoring has put together a little video on two of the great performance vehicles available down under - the Holden VF Commodore HSV GTS and the Ford Falcon FPV GT R-Spec. And while both FPV and the Falcon might be on their way out, there's still plenty of time for a little head-to-head comparison between the two.
The cars aren't all that well evenly matched, though. The Ford boasts a 5.0-liter, supercharged V8, which the Aussies measure out at 449 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. The HSV, though, with its Corvette-derived, 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 is just too powerful - 576 hp and 545 lb-ft of torque.
Predictably, it doesn't end too well for the Ford. As the guys from Motoring point out, the new VF Commodore is just too new and too good, with its extra power and its adaptive dampers (GM's excellent MagnaRide). Interestingly, Motoring did point out that the Holden's electric steering is better than the Ford's hydraulic steering, which is a lot like a Porsche purist saying they prefer water-cooled engines to air cooled.
Ford Mustang GT500 successor spied near SVT
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Details about the next-gen Ford Mustang are scarce, and there's even less information out there about the upcoming replacement for the Shelby GT500. Previously rumored to drop the Shelby name and wear the GT350 moniker, the highest-performance Mustang has just been spotted testing near Ford's SVT operations.
Despite being cloaked in heavy camouflage, we can instantly tell this prototype is different from other Mustang spy shots we've seen in the past. Aside from the Shelby-spec wheels, quad exhaust outlets (previous spy shots show only two) and beefier brakes, this car also has air intakes on the hood and front fenders. These elements help to neither prove nor dismiss rumors that the next SVT Mustang will be naturally aspirated. It also looks like Ford is may be planning some changes to this car's rear suspension, as there is some extra camouflage added beneath the rear end of this prototype.
As a bonus, these spy shots also give us our first look inside the new Mustang, revealing a new steering wheel (with more buttons) and a glimpse of the dual-pod instrument gauges. Check out past spy shots of the 2015 Mustang showing off its new face and driving around town.
