1963 Ford Falcon Convertible for sale. Inline 6 motor and 3 speed on the tree manual transmission. The car runs well. Newly rebuilt carburetor done about a week ago. New electric fuel pump and filter installed two days ago. She has new spark plugs as well.

This Falcon has air shocks. Comes with white wall tires with stock spinner wheels (looks great). The paint is in great condition. Trim is all there and looks good. Body is STRAIGHT with no rust. The convertible top works flawlessly. All gauges and lights work. Stock AM radio is in the car but not working.

The car has one rust spot under driver side cowl on the undercarriage. No other rust has been found. Pretty remarkable. The car is numbers matching and has the original door plate. Car is all original.

Interior is OK. The back seat is good. New carpet. The front seat needs re-upholstery on the base of the seat. Seat backs are good as new. Just the actual bench seat. Would be a real easy and cheap job. The convertible top is in excellent shape. The back plastic window is also in good shape. The top is electric and works great.

This car runs well. She does not pull at all while riding or braking. Has good power for an i6 and shifts nice a smooth. Starts up instantly when warm or cold. The motor does run a bit rich and the brakes will need to be given some love to get them back to par. The brakes work, but not good enough to where you would feel comfortable leaving them the way they are.

This is a great original Falcon that has been unmolested, is stock, and runs like it should. Hard to find them like this. Car is registered through April of 2015 in California and is in my name. CLEAN title. The Falcon is listed locally as well as on eBay. I have a Buy It Now price listed on eBay with a best offer option. This car can be picked up locally in Huntington Beach or I could ship it anywhere in the US. The buyer will pay exact freight charges direct to the shipping company. Upon the sale a non-refundable deposit will be due immediately. The remaining amount can be paid via cash, cashiers check, wire transfer, or PayPal (at additional 3% charge to cover my fees).

Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang is a lean, mean, Z/28-fighting machine [w/video]

Mon, 17 Nov 2014

If there's one thing you can count on, it's that the renewed rivalry between the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro will never, ever cease. For every version of Ford's pony car, there's an equally potent Chevrolet. And so with the debut of the Camaro Z/28 earlier this year, Ford has responded with a track-focused 'Stang of its own, resurrecting the Shelby GT350 name.
It looks to be a fine piece of work, this Mustang, with power coming from a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V8 that will produce "more than 500 horsepower" and "above 400" pound-feet of torque. That grunt runs to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission, and a Torsen limited-slip differential keeps everything in line.
But that's hardly the most impressive piece of the GT350 puzzle. Ford has increased the Mustang GT's chassis stiffness for duty here in the Shelby, and the coupe employs MagneRide damping which automatically adjusts based on road conditions and driver inputs. It's a first both for the Blue Oval and for the segment. And speaking of firsts, the GT350 uses a flat-plane crankshaft - something Ford has never included in a production V8 before.

Ford recalling nearly 5,700 2014 F-150s for power steering issue

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

Ford is recalling 5,675 of its 2014 F-150 pickups over an issue with the electric power steering system. There haven't been any injuries or accidents due to the issue.
Ford spokesman Mike Levine told Autoblog that the "electric power-assisted steering and motor position sensor gear were incorrectly installed by a supplier," leading to the recall.
While the recall is larger on the surface, it's important to note that only 260 trucks have been delivered to customers. The remaining pickups are currently en route to dealers. The affected vehicles were manufactured between May 26 and June 19.

Ford Q3 pretax profits drop to $1.18B

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

Following positive third quarter financial results recently from General Motors, rival Ford took a tumble in Q3. The automaker posted pre-tax profits of $1.18 billion, compared to about $2.59 billion in Q3 2013, a drop of around 54 percent. Net income also suffered with $835 million made in the quarter, versus $1.272 billion last year, a decline of about 34 percent. The Blue Oval blamed the gloomy figures on three reasons in its release: "lower volume, higher warranty costs and adverse balance sheet exchange effects."
There were problems of one kind or another in practically every region. North America experienced higher warranty costs than expected, partially due to recalls. The sales volume for the quarter was 665,000 units, versus 725,000 in Q3 2013, and pre-tax results amounted to $1.41 billion versus $2.296 billion last year.
South America and Europe both posted worse pre-tax results than last year. On the bright side, European volume was up slightly to 321,000 vehicles, from 303,000 in Q3 2013. The Middle East and Africa also lost $15 million, but that was an improvement compared to the $25 million loss previously experienced in this region.
