was all show no dough. I purchased this car from a collectors widow 10 years ago. She had 5 Falcons to choose from I took the most original in the best condition. The car still had inner tube tires. I did change them to tubeless tires but kept the original white wall look. I reupholstered the seats because I got tired of sitting on hog rings and the springs tore my pants. Over the last 10 years I have rebuilt the carburetor, replace the fuel/vacuum pump, replace the drum brake wheel cylinders, replaced the clutch, replaced thermostat, replaced plug, points, cap and rotor, plus the a fore mentioned tires and interior. This car is in great condition and is driven regularly. I drove it from LA to Phoenix and back last August. It has been very reliable over the years and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. The two issues it has are a tore headliner and it is missing a Falcon emblem on the right fender. The body is very straight. Paint is faded but fair. Tires and glass are in good condition. This is a California car with very little rust and I only say that because if I say no rust somebody will find some cancer somewhere but it is very minor. This car has been both my wife and my pride and joy for many years and it is time to find another loving owner. If you love having 30 minute conversations with lunatics in the grocery parking lot and/or gas station this is the car for you! I can't drive anyplace without people going out of their way to relive their youth with a long tail of yesteryear and the Falcon they owned once but that one was blue... Truly a car the captures much attention, just look at the other people at a stop light and watch them point, thumbs up, honk, flash lights. I had people scream praise while driving on the freeway. People love this car and you will too. I am happy to respond to all questions. I have already purchased another vehicle and I am not looking to trade. Before you ask what is the lowest I will take, the answer is the highest bid. Please understand that by bidding you have committed to purchasing the car at that bid price. Thanks for looking, good luck bidding!

Watch Piquet and Mansell bend some sheetmetal in Ford Fusion GP
Tue, 12 Feb 2013As we told you about before, there were four episodes planned for the Ford Fusion GP campaign in Brazil, and the whole series has now run its course. The Ford ads pit Brazilian Formula One driver Nelson Piquet against English F1 pilot Nigel Mansell driving the new Fusion, the two coming together again after their partnership at the Williams F1 team ended in a miserable state more than 20 years ago.
They're lined up for you below, in reverse chronological order. You should watch number three first, though, as it adds a bit more spice to the NASCAR action in the fourth.
70% of pickups could use aluminum by 2025
Wed, 11 Jun 2014In the next decade, the auto industry will see an explosion in its use of aluminum to cut weight and increase fuel economy, according to a study from market analysts Ducker Worldwide cited by The Detroit News. We are already seeing the lightweight metal show up extensively in luxury models from Europe, but with the impending launch of aluminum-intensive 2015 Ford F-150 (pictured above), North America is using it even more, as well. The report predicts 70 percent of US pickups to have aluminum bodies by 2025.
It won't just be pickups that see the benefit, though. The average amount of aluminum in US vehicles is forecasted by the study to grow from an average of 350 pounds in 2013 to about 550 pounds by 2025. The most common parts to use it will be hoods, doors and - to some extent - roofs, as well.
The massive increase in pickups' aluminum content hardly seems surprising. The F-150 is predicted to use so much that it might cause a short-term shortage, according to one earlier report. At the same time General Motors is heavily rumored to be negotiating with suppliers for the next generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. Ram is the last holdout of the Big Three, but the study predicts that not to last.
Ex-PR chief Vines accuses Ford of bugging cars, phones
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Jason Vines, former head of communications at Ford among other automakers, is accusing the Blue Oval of bugging his company phone and his car during the Firestone tire recall for the Explorer in 2001. The allegations have come to light in Vines' upcoming book What Did Jesus Drive? Crisis PR in Cars, Computers and Christianity.
According to The Detroit News, which has an advance copy of the book, Vines (pictured above) claims that after leaving the company, someone with security within Ford advised him that he had been bugged around the time of the recall. The allegations don't stop there, though. Vines further contends that he might not have been the only one to get this treatment, noting that then-general counsel John Rintamaki also believed he was being listened to.
According to The Detroit News, even if it had been a company phone, recording Vines without his knowledge still would have been a felony under Michigan law.
