1960 Ford Falcon Pro Street Gasser Hot Rod Rat Rod on 2040-cars
Escondido, California, United States
You are bidding on a 1960 Ford Falcon Pro Street Hot Rod. Motor is a 1994 5.0 Cobra fuel injection HO. has a real nice sounding cam. This car runs quick and flies down the freeway with no worries. Has a C4 AutoTrans, shifts great. Mustang 2 front end that makes it drive like a smooth new car. Front disc brakes and drum in the rear. Has front line locks for those burnouts at car shows, works great. Tubbed rearend and done right. Paint is 25 years old but still has a great shine still. Body is super straight and looks great also. Glass is in great condition, no cracks. Interior is in great condition also. Remember that this car is 54 years old now and it still looks fantastic, people always say how clean and straight it is, and sounds radical. Really drives like a dream. The only reason I'm selling it is because I have my eye on other car that I've been trying to get for about 2 years. I told the guy, let me see if I can sell my car and if not I will keep mine for another season for cruising. I may take it to Del Mar (Good Guys) show in April also to see if it doesn't sell on Ebay. This Falcon really turns a lot of heads where ever it goes. So please ask questions. I may cancel auction early if it sells locally.

Galpin Ford GTR1 supercar debuts in Monterey
Fri, 16 Aug 2013Galpin Auto Sports has finally taken the wraps off the car we first previewed back in December, the Galpin Ford GTR1. A few weeks ago, we posted the first hints of just what the GTR1 would be capable of, with Galpin teasing that its 5.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 would produce in excess of 1000 horsepower, with a top speed of 225 miles per hour. Package all that in a coachbuilt body, and you have the recipe for one wicked supercar.
The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000.
Now, we have all the glorious details. Galpin is targeting a production run of six cars, but if interest is strong enough, will expand its initial quote to 24 vehicles. The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000. Opting for the aluminum bodywork could lower that, although it's not immediately clear by how much.
Ford F-150 bumps Camry from top of Cars.com American Made Index
Tue, 25 Jun 2013With July 4th just around the corner, what better time could there be for Cars.com to announce that the Ford F-150 is the Most American car of 2013? This may be especially true since it was the Toyota Camry, a car produced by a company based in Japan, that had held the top spot from 2009 to 2012.
Cars.com compiles its Most American list by considering the amount of parts each vehicle uses that come from America, where it's final assembly takes place and how many units per year are sold. "While the assembly point and domestic parts content of the F-150 didn't change from 2012-2013, vehicle sales are responsible for bumping the F-150 to the top spot," according to Patrick Olsen, Editor-in-Chief of Cars.com.
As far as automakers go (as opposed to individual models), Toyota retains the top spot it held in 2012, with General Motors, Chrysler, Ford and Honda (in that order) rounding out the list. The motivation behind this list each year, according to Olsen, is "to help car shoppers understand that 'American-Made' extends beyond just the Detroit three" and because "a study we conducted in 2012 indicated that 25 percent of shoppers surveyed preferred to buy American."
2015 Ford Mustang Convertible makes inappropriate appearance in Detroit [w/video]
Tue, 14 Jan 2014With the polar vortex fresh in the minds of Autoblog's Detroit-based staff, we're finding it funny that any manufacturer would choose January in the Motor City to show off a new and highly anticipated convertible to the general media and public for the first time. But Ford has done just that, giving us our first real peek at the new Mustang Convertible in the flesh.
The new Mustang Convertible is more or less unchanged from the standard coupe, with some subtle styling tweaks to accommodate the retractable soft top. Engine and transmission choices are identical to the hardtop, although we should expect slightly lower performance due to the hardware for the roof. Like the coupe, neither prices nor performance metrics have been published yet for the convertible.
