OK, I am selling this car for my father. At one time he had two of these. Once he found out the orange convertible was more rare he decided that this is the one that he was sending out to Las Vegas to get the 40th anniversary package put on. The 40th Anniversary edition upgrade is an extra 15 k in upgrades. Upgrades include: -Sequential Tail lights. -Roll bar. -An entire new suspension -Gun Metal Rims and Tires. -40th Anniversary Badges. -Signed by Carroll Shelby (Not included, but he spent the money to get it done anyway). -Carbon Fiber- Carbon Fiber everywhere -New, more high end brakes and calipers. -New, throatier exhaust. -Instrument Cluster. -Stripe Package. *** What most people do not know is the 2007 Shelby convertible did NOT come with center stripes. The 2007 coupe did, but the convertible did not. The 2008 Shelby convertible did come with stripes. But with the 40th anniversary package, they were included.
The car actually CHANGES serial numbers. If you want to know why this car is 1 of 1 you can call me to talk to me about it. The car is in Spicer Minnesota at his lake house. A short drive from Minneapolis or St. Cloud Minnesota. The car has roughly 1800 miles on the odometer. The car is an absolute rocket but was never driven hard which is actually rather sad in its own way. My father is going on 63 so he just cruised it around the lake every once in awhile. His business is in Sioux Falls, SD. So if you are serious about the car you can fly into either Sioux Falls, Minneapolis, Or St. Cloud. All will work out great. Mulally to stay at Ford through end of 2014 at least
Fri, 06 Dec 2013Alan Mulally isn't going anywhere... at least not just yet. The CEO who helped turn around Ford Motor Company has been linked to the top job at tech behemoth Microsoft, leading to a flurry of rumors about potential successors. Those rumors, though, may have just been put to rest - at least for a little while.
Speaking to Edsel Ford II (great-grandson of company founder Henry Ford) at the unveiling of the new Mustang, Automotive News Europe confirmed that Mulally would stick around until the end of next year. "Alan is staying through the end of 2014 and that's all I know," said Ford. "Frankly, he has told us that his plan is to stay with Ford through the end of 2014."
Presuming that Edsel Ford is correct and that Microsoft isn't so hot on Mulally that it saves the position for him, it seems increasingly likely that the 68-year-old exec is more interested in continuing to work in Dearborn rather than in Redmond.
2016 Ford Mustang SVT hides big power under its domed hood
Tue, 17 Jun 2014With a number of 2015 Ford Mustang versions finally available to configure, the fun of speculating about next year's high-performance 'Stang can now begin. It looks like Ford has something seriously fun planned too. One of our spy photographers just snapped some fresh pics of the 2016 Mustang SVT, which is believed to be hiding the final body shape under all of that heavy camouflage.
Ford clearly doesn't want prying eyes looking at its new pride and joy. It would be hard to put much more obfuscation on a car than this one wears - it even has mesh baffles around the exhausts to conceal how many there are and panels over the wheels to hide their design. However, the Blue Oval can't keep everything a secret. The biggest clue that something special is hidden underneath is the massive hood bulge and vent in front of it. Clearly, whatever is under there is hungry for cool air. The shape of the camo indicates that there may be fender vents on each side, and there are also obscured outlets behind the front wheels likely to pull cool air through the brakes. At the rear, the concealment does its job, making it hard to observe any big changes. The fact that Ford wants it kept such a secret might indicate something, though.
A few photos of the interior show far less cover than the outside. You can easily make out the model's 6,500 rpm redline with a possible 7,000 rpm over-rev function. The big Recaro sport seats also look quite supportive.

Thu, Jan 22 2015BMW is testing AdBlue pumps in Germany. AdBlue fluid is used to remove NOx from diesel exhaust, and it is stored in its own tank within the vehicle. Filling AdBlue is easy enough for drivers to do it themselves, and with the proliferation of diesel vehicles in Europe, a pump filling system could make more sense than using the current hand-held containers. BMW is testing AdBlue pumps at three fueling stations in Munich and Berlin to help develop further AdBlue dispenser technology. Read more at Green Car Congress. Drivr Green Personal Transportation is a Tesla taxi service in Cincinnati. Two former employees of Tesla Motors founded the startup, which bills itself alongside ride-hailing services like Uber and Lyft. Customers book a ride online, and are picked up by a Tesla Model S. The ride costs $2.50 per mile with a $15 minimum. Drivr currently operates three cars with seven drivers, with plans to lease another 10 Teslas and employ up to 30 drivers. Ford is opening a research and development facility in Silicon Valley. The Ford Research & Innovation Center, which will be located less than three miles from Tesla Motors headquarters in Palo Alto, California, is expected to be one of the automotive industry's largest R&D facilities. Law firms advising Fisker Automotive have been denied a $2.50-million fee enhancement in the car company's bankruptcy. Brown Rudnick LLP and Saul Ewing LLP were denied the extra fees, as a Delaware bankruptcy judge ruled there is "no evidence" that the firms provided anything more than what they originally expected. In denying the fee enhancement, the judge cited a "very high bar" for such awards. Read more at Law360.
