I have two Fairlanes convertibles projects for sale both are numbers matching 289ci, C4 auto trans.

The primer gray 67 is straight with very little rust in floor pans. needs windshield, motor runs but will need a timing chain, all chrome trim,front and back seats are reupholstered (bench), a/c car. I have the conv. top frame and a new canvas top for this car, new bumpers. This will be a very easy to finish project. The 66 has everything this Fairlane needs plus a lot more.

The other is a 66 Fairlane needs more work qtrs/floorpans or use it for parts. It has everything the 67 needs. It has a 289 Special that runs no knock or smoke with bucket seats, console and floor shift, all chrome trim,bumpers. all good glass non a/c car. Engine runs but i have not put it into gear to see if trans. pulls.

These are projects... Reason for sale; start building a house in May.

Ford looks to space robots to improve car-to-car communications [w/video]

Ford has partnered with St. Petersburg Polytechnic University for three years to research various kinds of connected vehicle communications. The university tie-up is part of its study of space robots, NASA systems created to enable space-to-Earth communication, and the university's own development of systems that enable communication between the International Space State and Earth.
The objective is for Ford to engineer layers of robust networks and redundancy systems that will allow your car to speak to other cars, to emergency vehicles, to infrastructure like traffic lights and buildings, and to the cloud. Benefits would come in just about every area of transit, from avoiding accidents, to getting medical workers to an accident more quickly, to improving the flow of traffic during rush hour.

Ford Australia pulls the ol' talking car prank

Siri from Apple has proven that being able to talk to your technology doesn't always work perfectly. But what if it could eventually go far enough to give a personality to inanimate objects like our cars? Ford took just this path to comedic effect by playing a prank on many unsuspecting Australians, in a new commercial for its EcoSport compact crossover.
The Aussies seem very nonchalant about having a random parked car talk to them, and they seem surprisingly game when it asks them to get in, call a celebrity and tell a joke.
