1968 Ford Fairlane Coupe on 2040-cars
Jacksonville, Florida, United States
I bought the car to restore but have too many Fairlane projects so this one needs a new home. It runs good and shifts good with a 289 and C-4 automatic. It had sat for seven years in a shed when I bought it so I replaced all of the rubber fuel lines with fuel injection lines, flushed the gas tank, replaced the battery, thermostat and antifreeze. I cleaned the points, put fresh gas in and it started right up.The paint is fair having been painted once. The vinyl top is O.K. but coming loose by the trunk. I see no sign of rust under the vinyl. The interior is original but still looks good. I have driven it up and down my street and it drives good. The car has some rust as seen in the pictures and the floor pans and cowl are rusted. The car needs restored but it can be driven while you restore it. The hood needs replaced. The brakes work good but the car has sat for seven years so I would recommend going through them before driving. No options like power steering or a/c just a basic Fairlane with G.T.Wheels. NO RESERVE

Ford jumps back in the water with marinized 6.2L V8
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Nameplates like the Mercury Mariner and Lincoln Navigator aside, Ford hasn't offered a marine engine in over two decades. But through a new partnership with one of the biggest names in the business, the Dearborn-based automaker is dipping its proverbial toes back in the water.
Announced yesterday at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the new partnership between Ford Component Sales and Indmar Marine Engines will see the 6.2-liter V8 from the F-150 SVT Raptor and F-Series Super Duty marinized for use in boats.
The largest privately owned inboard gasoline marine engine manufacturer in the world, Indmar has been in the business for 43 years, and figures the Ford V8 will be just what watersport enthusiasts are looking for to tow waterskiers and wakeboarders to their hearts' content.
More 2015 Ford Mustang pricing information leaks [UPDATE]
Tue, 20 May 2014The big news this morning was that the 2015 Ford Mustang would start at $24,425, including its destination pricing. The big news this afternoon is, well, bigger.
Mustang6G.com has come up with what it claims is pricing info for the entire Mustang line, rather than just the V6. That means we know all about the EcoBoost and GT prices now, which, when combined with the dealer order sheets we reported on last week, gives us our clearest look yet at how the Mustang can be outfitted (we're still a bit short on pricing info for some standalone options, like paint premiums and such).
The base EcoBoost starts at $25,995, while the GT rings up at $32,925.
