1968 Ford Fairlane 500 No Motor, No Trans. Selling This With A Bill Of Sale on 2040-cars
Orem, Utah, United States
1968 Ford Rolling Chassis
(no motor & no trans) This is a 1968 Ford rolling chassis, with no motor and no trans. Very solid body. Please review all pictures before bidding. I've included a picture of the VIN# that was found on the door. I do not know if the hood and the grill match this car. It is a GT grill. The car has very minimal rust. It does appear to have a small portion of bondo and some holes through the floor in the cab. There is a hole for a floor shifter. The trunk looks very clean and tight, no holes. There are some extra parts that go with the car including; misc trim pieces, a set of heads, and some interior door parts. It appears that most of the trim/chrome is there with the car, except for possibly the back window trim. The interior is stripped out, but I do have the dash. I was told this was a 302 car. I AM SELLING THIS WITH A BILL OF SALE - NO TITLE. I don't know too much about fords, I'm more of a Dodge guy. If you have any questions, I'd be glad to help you. This car is for sale locally and could end the auction early if it sales here. Dave 801-330-1301 |

Ford readying three-row Edge for China
Fri, Nov 21 2014The next-generation Ford Edge will be available with quite a growth spurt for its debut in China next year, with newly announced plans also to build and sell a three-row version exclusively in the People's Republic. However, markets outside of there likely won't see the larger model. Ford marketing boss (and future head of Ford of Europe) Jim Farley announced the three-row version of the crossover at the Los Angeles Auto Show, according to Automotive News. To create the extra room, Ford made the Chinese-built variant about 16 inches longer than its two-row counterpart. Farley didn't specify at which of the Blue Oval's plants in the country this model would be assembled. The Explorer and forthcoming Everest already offer three rows from the Ford lineup in China, but the company thinks the market can easily support all of them. According to Farley to Automotive News, the utility segment is up 485 percent in the country since 2008. Customers in the US can still look forward to the two-row Edge hitting dealers early next year. It'll be the first model in the Blue Oval's lineup here to come standard with EcoBoost power.

Ford posts record pre-tax Q3 profit of $2.6B
Thu, 24 Oct 2013Ford took in $2.6 billion in pre-tax profits in the third quarter of the year, making for a record trio of months that saw the Blue Oval's year-over-year earnings increase by $426 million. The earnings are being attributed not just to improvements in North American sales, but sales around the globe.
Revenue was up 12 percent, to $36 billion, although net income took a hit, dropping $359 million to $1.3 billion. Ford was dinged with $498 million in pre-tax charges, which are being blamed for the drop in net income.
The news has boosted Ford's hopes for full-year results, bumping it's total profits up past $8 billion, according to Automotive News. The Dearborn, MI-based manufacturer is still expecting a loss in Europe, although it's forecasted less than the $1.73 billion it burned in 2012. In fact, according to CFO Bob Shanks, Ford's European losses dropped by 51 percent year-over year, a huge improvement for the brand.
