1967 Ford Fairlane GT Clone/Tribute for sale or trade. This car is super solid and straight. As with every red car with mag wheels it gets compliments everywhere it is. New deep red paint job, less than 2 years old. What makes this car even more amazing than it already is, is the engine. Engine swap done extremely well. It looks like the car came was built with this engine. It has a 1992 Mustang 5.0 liter fuel injected engine, AOD transmission, Trick Flo top end with 24 pound injectors. Like new dual exhaust with Flowmaster 40 Series mufflers. It gives it that deep 5.0 Mustang sound. rearend completely rebuilt with 3:08 gears. New 17 inch Ridler wheels.

Couple things I would do to the car to really make it nice would be to redo the front seat. Has about a 2" separation at a seam on the top corner of the seat. Upholstery is also pulling apart on the bottom seat as well. You can't see it until you push the seat forward. I would also replace the transmission pan seal and the seal where the driveshaft fits into transmission tail. Doesn't leak terribly, just enough to be annoying. Car will probably need 2 rear tires but they will be fine for this cruise in season.

This car runs and drives like a new car. Old school cool car with newer fuel injected, computer controlled technology. ONLY trades I will consider will be 67-73 Camaro, 67-72 SHORTBED Chevy trucks. If your potential trade is a project, please be realistic and expect to bring a stack of cash along with it. This is not Gas Monkey Garage either so keep your CASH offers realistic as well.  If shipment is required it is up to the buyer to arrange.  I will make myself available to assist the shipper.

A non refundable deposit of 500.00 through Paypal will be required within 24 hours of purchase with the balance due upon pick-up of the vehicle. I have a clear Ohio state title in my name.  I'm sure there will be questions, and you can call me at 937-623-3827 and ask for Dave.

The vehicle is also for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the listing early if sold. Thank you.

Ford F-150 RaptorTrax is Ken Block's ultimate snowmobile

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

Even when Ken Block isn't starring in the latest Gymkhana video or tearing up Global RallyCross courses, he's finding new ways to redefine "awesome" as it applies to motorsports. For evidence of this, look no further than Block's latest Monster-badged creation, the Ford F-150 RaptorTrax.
Billed as the "world's fastest snowcat," the RaptorTrax started life as a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, and then a set of Mattracks were put in place where the truck's bead-locked wheels and meaty rubber once resided. The goal was to create a truck that made it easier - and presumably more fun - for Block and his buddies to hit the slopes on their snowboards. Aside from the obvious track upgrades, this truck also received a Whipple supercharger, full roll cage, Recaro seats, an in-bed snowboard rack, a roof basket and a rear-mounted winch - you know, just in case something or someone actually manages to get this truck stuck.
The RaptorTrax will be on display later this week at the Winter X Games in Apsen, CO, but we'll have to wait until next winter for a full Block-worthy video of the truck. A full press release from Hoonigan Racing Division is posted below, and a high-res image can be found by clicking above.

2014 Ford Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost

Fri, 09 May 2014

I'll be honest; when Ford first unveiled its 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, I was skeptical. Past attempts at building turbocharged American cars were almost universally awful, I reasoned, so why would Ford's latest effort be any different? This may seem foolish today, considering the success that the growing EcoBoost range has achieved - particularly the 2.0-liter and 1.6-liter mills. Yet I once again found myself questioning Ford.
It's the makeup of the 1.0-liter, turbocharged three-cylinder slotted into the compact engine bay of this Fiesta that has a way of breeding doubt. Three-cylinder engines remain an extreme rarity in the US. What's more, they earned a less-than-desirable reputation for applications in the 1980s and 1990s, and my trepidation about this latest three-pot as a result.
As I found out, though, history is a poor informant of modern technology. The thrust available in other cars with the EcoBoost badge on the back has not gone missing here; something the International Engine of the Year committee has lauded. That august body named the 1.0-liter Ecoboost the best engine of 2012 and 2013. After a week of driving, it didn't take long for my fear of threes to get turned into something like that line of thinking.

Creations n' Chrome Top Notch Mustang is a one-of-a-kind fox

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

Is there a cooler car from the 1980s and early 90s to mod than a Fox-body Ford Mustang? No, there isn't. If you disagree with us, we suggest you have a look at this 1990 Mustang Coupe, which just might change your mind. Although considering just how extensively modified this car - the Top Notch Mustang from Creations n' Chrome - is, we wonder just how much Ford is left in this old pony.
It rides on a custom race tube chassis that weighs a scant 700 pounds, while carbon-fiber bits and bobs help lower the overall curb weight to a mere 2,400 pounds. When paired with supercharged, 5.0-liter, Aluminator V8 from Ford Racing, the results are, doubtlessly, exciting. 855 horsepower at the rear wheels and 667 pound-feet of torque are available from that force-fed V8 should be just plenty for this car's intended purpose of running in standing-mile competitions.
The Top Notch Mustang is more extreme than just weight savings and a big engine, though. That 5.0-liter is essentially in what's known as a front-mid layout - where the engine is actually behind the front axle. In this case, the 5.0-liter V8 is 17 inches further back than a factory Fox-body, for better weight distribution. As a result, the cabin has been completely overhauled. An SLA front suspension, wheels from HRE, Wilwood brakes and Sparco interior items round out the extensive list of mods.
