Parkville, Maryland, United States

This auction is for a completely rebuilt 1967 Ford Fairlane 500. Its a pillar-less car, factory original Fairlane 500. Its been completely rebuilt from top the bottom with no expense spared. The car can be driven, and is actually very reliable. It has been driven to quite a few shows and holds up very nicely on the open road. There is a vintage AC system installed, as well as a modern audio system (factory original head unit is still in place). I will attempt to describe this vehicle as thoroughly as possible, I have also attached quite a few pictures and I advise you to look through them. This car is breath taking in person.

Link to more pictures of the car, including the undercarriage while on a lift: here
Link to the build documentation and Dyno Sheet specifically: here

Engine:

Completely rebuilt, balanced, blueprinted and dyno'd 418 cubic inch Windsor stroker V8 producing a verified 472 HP and 482.9 lbs of torque. I have the receipts and documentation for the engine build by Jessie Holmes Performance. The build ticket is included in the pictures and gives a VERY thorough explanation of the parts used to create this monster. All of this power is put through the C4 Performance Transmission with Torque Converter. This engine has had everything replaced, rebuilt and upgraded to create an absolutely ferocious and fast engine. Over $12,000 was spent on the engine alone. **Build Sheet included w/ a thorough documentation of parts used in the above link**

Interior:

Completely redone in black synthetic leather, new carpet, new seat padding and stereo. The chrome and dash have been completely restored. The door cards have been restored. An aftermarket automatic shift handle is located between the seats, as well as a high end Sony CD Head unit. The factory original head unit is still present in its original location.

Exterior:

Professional repainted. All of the chrome has been completely restored. The paint looks fantastic. The chrome shines. The Ram Air hood fits around the big 850 CFM Carb and looks great. This car looks as good as it sounds, and drives even better.

The car is located in Baltimore, MD. It is definitely worth coming to see in person. Its gorgeous. 470+ HP! Not a penny was spared during the restoration, and the best part is - YOU CAN DRIVE IT ANYWHERE!

Contact Mike @ 443 253 0619 if you have any questions or if you would like to see the car in person!

2015 Galpin Ford GTR1

Mon, 25 Aug 2014

Last year in Monterey, we met GTR1 for the first time. Galpin Auto Sports pulled the wraps off its Ford GT-based supercar, powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.4-liter V8 good for a whopping 1,024 horsepower and 739 pound-feet of torque. The thing was totally custom-made and reportedly took some 12,000 man hours to create. And there it sat on the Pebble Beach grass, $1,000,000-plus price tag and all.
This year, the Galpin was back, albeit with one big change. That twin-turbo engine? Gone. In its place, a 5.4-liter V8 with a 4.0-liter Whipple supercharger bolted on, delivering an astonishing 1,058 hp and 992 lb-ft of torque on 110-octane fuel. 0-60? 2.9 seconds. Top speed? Somewhere above 225 miles per hour.
"Some things to keep in mind: no stability control, no traction control," were the only warnings given by Galpin's Brandon Boeckmann before taking me on a quick spin in the supercar. And after having my eyes thrown into the back of my skull a few times, laughing hysterically and trying to regain full use of my hearing after my ear drums being bombarded by the apocalyptic roar behind me, Brandon pulled over and said it was my turn, if I was ready to take the wheel.

Ford E-Series chassis cabs and cutaways to survive mass Transit onslaught

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

In March 2013, Ford announced we'd be getting chassis cab and cutaway versions of the Transit. Since incoming Transit vans will soon be rolling over the grave of the E-Series van, it was assumed that all E-Series models would go six feet under as well. According to a report from PickupTrucks.com, however, that's not the case, the report claiming that the highly modifiable E-350 and E-450 chassis cab and cutaway versions will continue being produced in Avon Lake, Ohio "at least until 2020."
Being decades old, the be-cabbed E-Series platform has found its way under an army of heavy-duty shuttle buses, work truck and ambulances. Ford spokeswoman Jessica Enoch verified the production horizon, telling Autoblog that the particular E-Series configuration "are a higher GVWR than the Transit chassis cab and cutaway (available this summer), which is more Class 2 and a new segment for us." So there you have it.

Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang to cost $52,995?

Mon, Dec 1 2014

The 2015 Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang was one of the shining stars of this year's Los Angeles Auto Show. And the Blue Oval's latest muscle car might even have reason to burn a little brighter if a recent rumor about its price proves true. Best of all are rumors that an even more potent version of the Shelby is potentially on the way. According to Horsepower Kings citing unnamed Ford sources at the LA Auto Show, the 2015 GT350 carries a starting price of $52,995, and the Tech package adds a further $2,995 on top of that. There's also the claim of a Track package for an undisclosed price. However, it doesn't look like LA is the last we'll see of the newest Shelby because the source also alleges that a top-rung GT350R is under development with bigger brakes, modified aerodynamics and sportier tires. This rubber-burner is reported to be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January. Assuming these claims are correct, it puts the Shelby in fighting form against its two Chevrolet Camaro rivals. Ford reports that the GT350's 5.2-liter V8 pumps out over 500 horsepower and more than 400 pound-feet of torque. At $52,995, it would undercut by a couple of grand the $55,505 (before destination) base price of the 580-hp 2015 ZL1. The super 'Stang might also beat the 505-hp Z/28 with its power rating, while being vastly cheaper than the track-focused Camaro's $72,305 price. This could be quite the performance shoot-out.
