1967 Ford Fairlane 500 Convertible 289 Automatic on 2040-cars
Saint Cloud, Florida, United States
This is my private vehicle, I AM NOT a dealer / broker / flipper. I have owned this car for many years and can answer any questions about it. I have a clear title, in my name, in hand and ready for immediate transfer. I see the word survivor used a lot, and I am not even sure what it means. This beautiful convertible has the original, rock solid floors, original sheet metal in the trunk and rock solid frame rails. It has the original interior, the original drivetrain and glass. The original 289 starts and drives real nice, weather on the hiway cruising at 75 or driving the countryside, It never overheats and the automatic transmission shifts threw the gears without issues. The brake system has been gone threw and has new hoses, shoes, wheel cylinders, hardware and new master. The car still has all the original trim on the car. It has a bias ply spare and original jack. The car has new tires on the front and back, and the aluminum wheels are new as well. The convertible top was replaced about 5 years ago and has no rips or holes. The raising and lowering operates with ease and is operated from the original lever on the dash. The car has new leaf springs in the car giving it that nice stance. Also I have no problems with 4 adults in this car and the rear tires don't rub. Some useful info....... Transmission was rebuilt within the last year (still the original unit) Gas gauge works... Odometer works.... Speedometer works.... Original am radio works.... wipers work.... Heat works.... Brake lights work.... Tail lights work.... Headlights work.... Reverse lights work.... Horn works.... ***CLOCK WORKS!!! Windows all roll up and down, ALL! Doors open from inside and out... Doors don't sag or drop when opened No issues locking the doors or opening the trunk.... Glove box locks.... I do not see or detect any collision repair
TERMS... Car is sold as is, where is. shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Full payment due within 3 days of auction end If picking up the car then it's cash only, all checks must clear before car or title leave my possession. I will happily work with your shipper. Trades. Even if I say no trades, I will get a lot of requests... so, with that in mind, I'd consider a 1932-1934 ford , 1933-1935 Chevy, 3 window coupe only! up, down,

GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups
Mon, 14 Oct 2013General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
NHTSA closes book on Ford, GM probes of 600,000 vehicles
Thu, Nov 27 2014US safety regulators have closed a pair of investigations into some 500,000 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and Marauder sedans built between 2004 to 2007, and 100,000 Chevrolet Impala models from 2014. The Ford investigation focused on rusting heat shields, which may become dislodged and jam the steering, according to Reuters. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that this happened very rarely. In fact, of the ten incidents filed with the government safety watchdog, six came from a single police department, which evidently had some sort of problem with its reporting. As for the Impala, the NHTSA investigators attributed two incidences of "unintended autonomous braking" to user error. In both cases, the vehicles were involved in rear-end collisions. According to GM investigators, it's believed that drivers accidentally activated the electric parking brake, causing the collisions. The vehicles in question were rental cars. Spy shooter claims proof of upcoming aluminum Ford F-Series Super Duty
Thu, 26 Jun 2014Ford has already confirmed that the 2015 F-150 (pictured above) was just the beginning for its more extensive use of aluminum. CEO Alan Mulally said it himself during the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. We've even already seen the future Raptor testing with an aluminum body. But a recent discovery from an intrepid spy photographer might indicate that the lightweight metal is coming to the Blue Oval's Super Duty pickups in their upcoming generation, as well.
According to Automotive News, a spy shooter in Colorado spotted a prototype for the next-gen F-350 testing. He happened to have a magnet on hand and got close enough to check the truck out. When he held it up to the metal in the bed, it didn't stick, which signaled to him a switch from steel to aluminum.
Obviously, this claim raises some questions. Given that it was a test vehicle, one possibility is that the Blue Oval is just evaluating the feasibility of switching to aluminum for the Super Duty trucks, not necessarily committed to it yet. Ford has been testing it quite exhaustively, after all. In fact, much of the rest of the truck in question was covered in camouflage, so it's possible that the magnet failed to work along the rest of the body not because it was aluminum, but because it wasn't powerful enough to get through the disguising material. Thus, the lightweight metal's use could be far less substantial than on the new F-150. Still, it was a clever idea for the cameraman to check things out and might have given us the first hint about brand's next heavy-duty models.
