1963 Mercury Meteor wagon. Very solid and clean car! 260 v8 3 speed on the tree (column) Rear seat still looks like new! Front seat has rips on just the bottom. Dash looks really good, AM radio still works. Door panels look good. Mat floor has tares here and there. All windows roll up and down very good. All the glass is very nice and is clear. New tires 215/70/14 on rear and 195/70/14 on the front. Runs and drives very good. The engine does smoke a little bit from valve seals? but it might need to be driven more and it might clear up it seems the more I drive it the better it gets. The foorboards, rockers, torque boxes are rust free! Under the car is in really good shape. The engine and car are all original untouched. The car has nice trim and brightwork. New brakes and wheel clyinders. I do not know if the miles are original. The car does have rust on the bottom of the front fenders and both rear quarter panels and the bottom of the spare tire storage. These are known problem areas for the Meteor. Really hard to find one in this shape!! Ken@720-341-9065 Bid to win NO RESERVE!!!!!

Ford Mustang was almost 'Imported from Detroit'
Wed, Oct 7 2015The Ford Mustang achieved iconic status nearly the moment the sheet came off at the 1964 World's Fair. And if Henry Ford II wasn't getting divorced around that time, the pony car might have been called the Torino and been marketed as 'Imported from Detroit,' according to Automotive News. We'll explain. During research for the new book Once in a Great City: A Detroit Story, author David Maraniss found an interesting connection between Chrysler's (now FCA US) slogan and the Ford Mustang. Before the pony car even had a name, the Blue Oval's advertising agency had the idea to market it as a "brand new import ... from Detroit," according to Automotive News. The vehicle would be sold as "inspired by Italy's great road cars, but straight from Detroit." The name Torino was suggested, as well. However, the real world interfered in making the Mustang Detroit's first import. According to the author, Henry Ford II was getting a divorce, and his future wife was Italian. It was therefore thought to be a bad idea to sell the future pony car as being from Italy. Things clearly changed by the time the Torino hit the streets years later. Related Video:
Ford 3D-printing Mustang out of chocolate and candy for Valentine's Day
Thu, 13 Feb 2014Is your beloved in love with the new 2015 Ford Mustang? Do they like chocolate (that's a trick question - everyone likes chocolate)? Are they a bit of a futurist? Then this Hallmark holiday, you need to get them this Ford Mustang, 3D-printed in sweet, delicious chocolate.
Ford is teaming with 3D Systems' Sugar Lab in LA to produce the super-accurate pony car confections in both chocolate and sugar candy varieties. The process kicked off with a CAD rendering of the 2015 Mustang, which was then programmed into the 3D printer. After a bit of work from the machine, a four-inch long, two-inch tall Mustang was the result. Why the tieup with 3D Systems, though?
"We wanted to create something fun to show that while 3D printing made these edible Mustangs, manufacturing-level 3D printing was used in the development of Ford's all-new sports car," said Paul Susalla, Ford's supervisor of 3D printing.
