Hey guys and gals for sale is my 1963 Ford
Fairlane 500. This is my daily driver that I'm looking to sell. Side note this car is going to be in the new Tim Burton movie called "Big eyes" They offered me a small part of driving the car through an intersection in a scene in little Italy in San Francisco.
On to the good stuff:
Fresh paint from macco about 2 years old (They actually did a great job!). The previous owner had it painted with the original color. It has an ATK remanufactured 302 motor swap. The motor came from an early 70's truck and runs strong. It sounds like it has a mild cam but I'm not sure what the previous owner did to the motor. Just replaced the generator, battery, starter, and the electrical box that controls everything (sorry I forget what it's called) the motor is backed by a C4 trans which shifts quick and smooth. The tires are brand new and purchased from Americas tire company theres a full size spare with stock rim in the trunk. There is no rust on the car at all, it is super solid no rust bubbles anywhere. I've been driving her for over a year everyday and haven't had any issues. I'm not sure what rear is in it but it has no issues smoking the tires and will get up and chirp going into 2nd. The exhaust is cut off at the rear seats and has a awesome deep hotrod sound. You can cruise the car all day at 75mph at 2,600rpm. It comes with the original air condition floor unit. It works but does not blow cold due to the AC compressor unit being removed for the motor swap. It has front bucket seats, original radio, all the gauges work, and has great chrome on the bumpers. The heater works as long with the windshield wipers and everything else. There is an after market cd player with aux input. There are no leaks in any of the seals and haven't seen any drips where I park it.
There really isn't any bad stuff with this car, just stuff that could use a little TLC but the car does not "need" it, it's just more cosmetic stuff. The speedo is off by about 10 miles but just needs the correct tooth speedo gear to fix. The previous owner kept the original speedo gear and put it into the C4 which is the reason it's not correct. The interior needs some help, the carpet and back bench needs to be redone but the door panels and headliner are in great shape. There is a ding in the rear right passenger door. The trunk needs a new lock, but it still opens and closes. The top rear left side of the bumper dips down a little bit but there is no cracks or anything in the chrome. The front shocks squeak and may need to be replaced but she still rides great and the rear seems fine. So that's pretty much it, everything that is "not so good" isn't anything that effects the cars drivability itself and is mostly small stuff that would be expected with a 50 year old car. I have a clear California title with the original black plates. All the glass is in perfect shape and the windows all work perfectly. You won't be disappointed with this car. If you have any questions feel free shoot me a message.
Shipping responsibility will be on the buyer. I recommend using uShip for the best rates. Feel free to come take a test drive if you're local.

Ken Block's 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR and CR Supercars Villain are retro done right
Wed, 05 Nov 2014Gymkhana king Ken Block has had a pretty simple car history in his trademark videos, starting out with Subaru Impreza rally cars before moving into Ford Focus racers for the past four installments. His next video, though, Gymkhana Seven, kind of goes back in time.
Rather than the cutting-edge rally racers of past videos, Block will pilot a heavily modified 1965 Ford Mustang, called the Hoonicorn. How heavily modified is it? Well, Block's Hooligan Racing Division, ASD Motorsports and Vaughn Gittin Jr.'s RTR, spent two years working on it, ditching the standard engine and rear-wheel-drive layout and replacing it with a 410-cubic-inch Roush Yates V8. Yes, that's a NASCAR engine, and it produces 845 horsepower.
A NASCAR-powered Mustang would be news in itself, but it's the other powertrain changes made by Block and Co. that really makes headlines. Power is channeled through a one-off Sadev transmission and all-wheel-drive system, meaning that Block has basically married a NASCAR stock car with a WRC racer. ASD also developed the customized suspension, tubular chassis and roll cage. The wide Mustang body is the work of RTR and Block's own Hoonigan Racing Division, while the 18-inch fifteen52 wheels are shod in Pirelli Trofeo R tires that use a specialized compound exclusive to Block.
Ford dissects the heart of the 2015 Mustang, its engine range
Thu, 05 Dec 2013Happy Mustang Day. Are you tired of hearing about the 2015 Ford Mustang yet? No? Good, here's a bunch of mechanical data on Ford's sixth-gen muscle car, along with cutaways of the GT's 5.0-liter V8 and the new 2.3-liter, EcoBoost four-cylinder shown above. We also have a smattering of info on the Stang's updated transmissions and an exploded-parts-diagram view of its all-new independent rear suspension.
Ford is set to make waves offering the Mustang with a turbo for the firs time since the small-volume SVO of the 1980s. Displacing 2.3 liters, the engine's twin-scroll turbo should help the four-cylinder turn out a projected 305 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, while also returning the best fuel economy in the Mustang's engine lineup. As we said in our Deep Dive, the EcoBoost will be slotted in as a premium engine, above the 3.7-liter V6 but below the 5.0-liter V8.
Speaking of that high-revving eight-cylinder, it's receiving a new cylinder head with high-flow ports. The intake and exhaust valves are larger and the cams have been replaced, among other tweaks. It should rev even higher thanks to a rebalanced crankshaft and forged connecting rods. Ford is still claiming a projected 420 hp and 390 lb-ft, although as many of the changes for the 2015's V8 come from the 2013 Boss 302, we're going to assume there's some sandbagging at work.
Ken Block hoons his Ford F-150 RaptorTrax on the slopes
Wed, 08 Oct 2014Ken Block drives Fords. Hoons the heck out of 'em, actually. Mostly Fiestas, but also the occasional Focus or Mustang. But earlier this year, the Gymkhana guru revealed his baddest Ford yet: an F-150 SVT Raptor on tracks. And true to form, here he is putting it to the test in the latest video from Monster Energy and Hoonigan Racing.
Filmed at Baldface Lodge in Nelson, BC, the video pairs Block up with snowboarders Zak Hale and Ethan Deiss for some deep-powder action. You'll want to watch the video for yourself, but the bottom line is that the RaptorTrax beats the heck out of waiting on line for the ski lift. It's enough to make us start to look forward to winter... almost.
