This is a running and driving car. Steers well, runs well. Wiring harness is in excellent condition. All electrics work. Factory radio delete. 170 CU in line 6 cylinder with 3 speed manual on the column. Body is very solid, rockers are solid, front fenders need bottom rust repair as well as right quarter. Bottom floors are in need of patching in a few places. All glass is in excellent condition as is all trim. interior is excellent, needs carpet. Comes with brand new 14" American Racing Torque Trust wheels with new tires (installed). Also comes with stock wheels and tires. Would make a good drive or a easy restoration for a winter project. Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment
Thu, 20 Mar 2014One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.

NHTSA probing 2000-2003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable models over throttle issue
Mon, 29 Oct 2012A potential issue with the speed control cable collar has got the 2003-20003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable under the spotlight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If the collar breaks it can cause the throttle to be stuck open.
The issue is limited to vehicles with the 3.0-liter V6 Duratec. There are just 50 complaints so far out of 310,000 cars, but the NHTSA has begun an investigation into whether a recall should be issued.
