This 2 door sedan has less than 1,000 true miles on it. It is equipped with a 292 cu. in. V8, Automatic Trans., Power Steering and AC. ( AC needs recharged).
There is no rust in this body and only a couple small dings down low on the Quarter panels. Minor damage to the stainless trim on the drivers side rear quarter.
This car was bought new by a man in Chicago and shortly after he bought a Caddy and this Ford was parked under a car port for about 10 years before being put into storage.
When I purchased it there was only 827 miles it. When I started detailing it, after years in storage, I discovered that it had several mechanical problems that may have led to it being parked. The damper pulley was broken when engine was installed so the power steering belt would not stay in place. The right rear brake was assembled wrong and it is a wonder he did not loose his brakes. The heater blower motor was not grounded so it would not blow air. The heat control cable was hooked to the outside fresh air vent so there was never any heat on a cold Chicago January. You hear stories about cars being built on a Friday afternoon or a Monday morning and this car was one of those.
The paint on the hood, top and trunk has blemishes from the smog and acid air in Chicago. The paint on the sides is nice and shinny
The interior is nearly perfect and done in Silver, Gray and black. The floors are factory rubber and has the original mat.
This beauty is a perfect candidate for a museum or you can take your whole family on a summer cruise if you so choose.

I do not have any paper documentation to prove that is what I am saying it is, but I have restored enough Fords in my days to have the knowledge to know an original car and this is one. My buy it now price is more than fair so do not waste my time with a low ball offer.
Come and inspect it and you will fall in love with it.

Watch NASCAR racer Brad Keselowski do a burnout... in a hotel conference room

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

A vast majority of hotels frown upon smoking inside the building these days, but Brad Keselowski doesn't follow the rules. During his introduction at the 2013 MiilerCoors Distribution Convention, the reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup champion smoked the tires of his Miller-sponsored Ford Fusion stock car, adding a pair of thick, black stripes to the carpeting of the Marriott World Center's conference room.
This definitely isn't a high-quality video, but it's the perfect vantage point to watch Keselowski lay down some rubber and receive a well-deserved standing ovation after pulling up in front of the crowd. Check out the short-but-sweet video posted below.

Radical RXC is a Mustang-hearted racecar for the road

Fri, May 30 2014

Radical has been building fantastic open-cockpit racers and roadcars for years, for the track day enthusiast who wants a vehicle that looks like it could show up for a start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The company's latest creation is the RXC, and while this coupe looks like a prototype racer, it's road legal in the UK and in some parts of the US. When testing a car this, um, radical, the first thought is likely to get it to the track for some big slides and wide open acceleration, but XCar Films takes the opposite approach in its latest video to learn how this racer fares on public roads. The version tested here is the standard RXC with the 3.7-liter V6 out of the Ford Mustang tuned to 350 horsepower with a seven-speed sequential gearbox; but Radical also offers the same engine with 380-hp, a 454-hp Ford EcoBoost 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, or even a 500-hp V8. Even in the most basic guise, it's a handful to control in the wet, if this video is any indication. The cliche of a road-legal racecar is bandied around a lot in the motoring world, but it truly applies to the RXC. The only problem with seeing the RXC exclusively on the road is that it can never really open up and show its full potential. This racer is indeed chomping at the bit to rocket off into the horizon, but all those pesky road safety laws hold it back. Still, the video is a chance to get a better impression about this thoroughbred sports car. Scroll down to check it out. This content is hosted by a third party. Ford recalls 1.48 million F-150s for transmission, plus other models

Wed, Feb 13 2019

Weeks after recalling more than 800,000 F-Series pickup trucks for a fire risk, Ford has issued another separate recall for approximately 1.48 million 2011-2013 F-150s for a transmission fault. The six-speed automatics could unexpectedly downshift into first gear without warning. Ford and Lincoln tangentially issued much smaller recalls for the Mustang, Continental, Nautilus, and Navigator. According to Ford, some 2011-2013 model year F-150 pickups with six-speed automatic transmissions could "experience an intermittent loss of the transmission output speed sensor signal to the powertrain control module." This could potentially cause the trucks to temporarily downshift, which could be dangerous if it occurs while driving. Of the 1.48 million affected trucks, 1.26 million are in the U.S. while 221,000 are in Canada. Thus far, Ford knows of five reported accidents involving the issue. To remedy the problem, owners can take their trucks to dealers to update the power control module software. Ford also issued recalls for about 4,350 2019 Mustangs, Lincoln Nautiluses, and Lincoln Navigators in the U.S. and Canada due to a possible fault with the instrument clusters. Although there have been no reports of accidents, Ford says the instrument panel clusters assemblies might be blank or not turn out when the vehicle is started. Additionally, Ford issued a third recall for 28,200 2017-2019 Lincoln Continentals in the U.S. and Canada. Ford says silicon contamination might build up inside the door latch motor, causing it to malfunction. As a result, the door latch might not always fully engage, and the doors could possibly open unexpectedly. Despite no reports of accidents, Ford will remove and replace door latch assemblies on all doors for those affected by the defect. If any of these apply to a vehicle you own, contact Ford to discuss whether it is included in any of these recalls and have the vehicle checked out at a Ford dealership.
