1957 Ford Fairlane Nascar Convertible Series Tribute To Fireball Roberts. Wow! on 2040-cars
Wilmington, North Carolina, United States
Guess who is going into The NASCAR Haul Of Fame? Fireball Roberts is going into the NASCAR Hall Of Fame this January. Here is a car built to honor his memory and success in the sport.
This is not a race car but it was "purpose built" to look as close as possible like the ones used on the track and the beaches of Daytona. It houses a period correct 312 Y Block motor and a 3 speed column shifter transmission. The car runs and drives great and I have spent loads of money trying to continually improve the driving experience of this vehicle. We also completed the 2013 Great Race with the car and drew huge crowds at every stop along the way.
If you want a traditional classic car, this one is not for you. If you want a true collector car that represents NASCAR history then nothing does it better than this one.
The car is very solid with no know rust or damage. We recently installed dyna-mat and installed the correct badging for the car. We have gone through the suspension, drivetrain, electrical, brake system etc. IT IS NOT PERFECT but it is super cool and can be driven anywhere.
Take a look at all the pictures, do all your homework and understand the true value. After all that is completed you can call me with questions at 910-262-6112 or shoot me an email. This is not a crisis sale so please don't make silly offers.
We reserve the right to sale the car and end the auction process. We will help with any shipping at the buyers expence.

A closer look at the 2015 Ford F-150
Thu, 16 Jan 2014Despite having to share Ford's Detroit Auto Show stand with the hot new 2015 Mustang, the brand-new F-150 was arguably an even more important debut. Why? Ford moved some 700,000 examples of its F-Series truck in 2012, making it not only the best-selling pickup truck, but the top-selling vehicle in the US, by a long-shot.
The 2015 F-150 raises the bar for pickup trucks in a big way, with big-time use of aluminum. Because of this, roughly 700 pounds have been removed from the truck's overall weight, making it even more efficient than before, while still offering all of the capability that pickup owners expect. And with a host of engines under the hood, including a new 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, the 2015 F-150 will surely offer something for everyone.
During the Detroit Auto Show, west coast editor Michael Harley took a closer look at the new F-150, talking to some of the truck's engineers. Have a look at the full video, below.
Ford to update Sync, MyFord Touch software... again
Wed, 07 Aug 2013Ford hasn't had the best luck with its MyFord Touch and Sync systems, as the finicky infotainment system has been subject to a critical whooping while customer issues have helped sink Ford's IQS scores. The automaker has made a concerted effort, though, to try and fix MyFord Touch. And while the results have been mixed, The Blue Oval is hoping its latest free update, set to go live next week, will make things better.
According to a report from The Detroit News, the new system promises streamlined voice commands with fewer levels between opening query and actual result. Ford is also addressing where certain options are selected on the touchscreen. Rather than working one of the four quadrants on the homescreen, users will be able to select anywhere within the quadrant to make adjustments.
While it might only be a band-aid for MFT's problems, the fact that Ford is still trying to improve it is a promising sign. It's going to take more than just this update to address the system's ills, though.
