This is an unmolested 1957 Ford Custom 300, it is currently not road worthy but it is not far from it. The title and the odometer show 21,923 miles, the car has never been repainted and has very little rust, the frame, trunk pan, deck lid, hood, and floor pans are all in very good shape, there are a few small patchable holes in the front pans, but they will not need replacing, car had a rubber mat from the factory as opposed to carpet. I purchased this car about a year ago from a man who decided to strip it for his ranchero, I felt it was too good of a car to strip and luckily got it before he got anything major off of it, parts he stripped were as follows, headlight switch, horn ring, driver side window trim, sunvisors, master cylinder, headlight trim rings. This is a very good starting point and an easy restoration for someone just wanting a 1950's cruiser. It has an open clear title. I have a replacement driver side fender in good shape. All glass is good, some small bubbles but nothing major in the glass. I have had the car running and I know it moved on its on power, but I have not had it on the road. I have just installed plug wires, points, condenser and a rotary button, rust spot on the low driver fender, passenger rocker has a couple of small rust places, passenger quarter looks like it swiped something, doesnt need replaced it is very fixable, one small place on the driver lower rear quarter, of course, around the headlight area is a little rust etc, if you want to know anything specific, feel free to ask, it is not currently running but a good weekends worth of work could put it on the road again, the tires are junk.
I am trying to get down to one classic, I also have a 1937 pontiac project car, a 1960 Borgward Isabella coupe, and a 1968 vw beetle for sale as well.
Full payment is due on this car within 5 days of auction end, buyer pays all shipping cost.
The mirrors in the pictures are no longer on the car also, will post more pics of the car asap

Blue Oval's new Cargo cab-over rig is largest "One Ford" initiative yet

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

The imposing commercial truck above has a feature that might be surprising to most Autoblog readers - a Blue Oval emblem on the front. Here in North America, Ford simply doesn't play in the eighteen-wheeler sandbox, but that doesn't mean that the Dearborn-based automaker is absent in the heavy hauling space in other parts of the globe. In fact, Ford presently fields two completely different big rig ranges under the Cargo moniker - one a product of an Eastern Europe/Turkey joint venture, and another from Brazil. But that's about to start changing with the advent of this new cab-over model seen here.
Unveiled in São Paulo, Brazil, this new generation of Cargo is perhaps the largest physical embodiment of CEO Alan Mulally's "One Ford" global streamlining strategy. Instead of multiple models, company engineers have developed a new single truck that it says will better meet the needs of truckers in all markets. Designed to compete in what's known as the "extra heavy-duty segment" elsewhere in the world, this Cargo was developed jointly by Ford engineering teams in Brazil, Turkey and Europe.
Specifics remain hard to come by (read: unreleased), but Ford is promising an all-new engine enabling hauling capability of up to 56 tons while still returning excellent fuel economy. Ford's global Cargo lineup will henceforth consist of a dozen models, but Ford tells Autoblog has no plans to bring this hot and heavy-duty action to North America.

Are you the next Ford Edge? [UPDATE]

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

What looks to be the next Ford Edge has been leaked in an apparent corporate Powerpoint presentation deck. Despite the thumbnail image's blurry and pixelated quality, it appears as if the next generation crossover will be staying close to its current aesthetic despite an all-new front clip with redesigned grille, headlamps, and lower fascia with integrated fog lights.
The upscale-minded Blue Oval CUV is due for a redesign in 2015, having just received a mid-cycle refresh for 2011. It isn't clear what changes lie beneath the new skin, either in terms of mechanicals or interior refinement, but we suspect Ford will be looking to put some distance between the next generation model and the new Escape, which is suddenly much more car-like and not that far off the more expensive Edge in terms of overall size, power or refinement.
UPDATE: Substituted clearer image - thanks, Sean!

2013 Shelby GT350

Fri, 31 May 2013

Shelby is a name as synonymous with the Ford Mustang as marshmallows are with campfires. But unlike the short-lived sugary confection that is prepared on a stick, the late Carroll Shelby's name on the placard means added performance and exclusivity. Launched in 1965, the automaker's celebrated early cars were in production for a limited run - today, a mint concours-quality 1965 Shelby GT350 can sell for upwards of $350,000.
To coincide with the 45th anniversary of the original Shelby GT350, Shelby American reintroduced the GT350 in 2011. Like the original, it was only offered in white with blue stripes. Customers were offered a choice between naturally aspirated (440 horsepower) and two levels of supercharging (525 horsepower with a warranty or 624 horsepower without). The manufacturer calls the GT350 a "post-title" package, a term that means it starts out life as a stock Mustang and is modified outside Ford's factory (this is in contrast to the Shelby GT500, which is a standard Ford production car).
As the GT350 enters its third year, Shelby has made several changes. Mechanically, Wilwood brakes replace Baer units and Recaro seats and a tinted glass roof are on the options list. Cosmetically, the vehicle is now offered in most of the Blue Oval's factory colors, new multispoke wheels are available in Satin Black or Bright Silver Metallic finish, and customers can choose between Satin Black, Silver or Gloss White stripes (or Azure Blue Metallic on Performance White or Ingot Silver). Aesthetically, the look of the car has also changed somewhat - keen eyes will note that it actually appears more 'stock' than it did last year.
