1955 Ford Club Sedan. Mild custom. Drive anywhere. Very reliable, same owner for 22 years.
302 2-barrel engine with C4 automatic from 70 cougar.
Vintage air A/C and heat.

Body
Body is very solid. originally from Louisiana.  Has one small area of bubbles on drivers rocker.  Not a rust bucket full of patches or bondo.  All original panels and floors. Frame is very solid also.  Paint is older and shows wear but still presentable. Does have chips and scratches from being driven.  Glass is all good. bumpers rechromed.  Minor customizing done.

Interior
Interior is in very good shape. Seats and door panels were redone a few years ago. Headliner good. window mouldings were all repainted at same time. The dash has been custmized and recieved a vintage air a/c and heat system hidden behind it with vents molded in dash along with radio and guages.  Could use new  sill plates.

Drivetrain
302 2 bbl and c4 auto from 70 cougar. Runs good. Petronix ignition upgrade. Dual exhaust with glasspacks.  Lowered front and rear suspension with 4 wheel drum brakes and dual resevoir master cylinder. Aluminum radiator. Very simple to maintain. Good tires.

Accessories
LED lighting underneath, ah oog ah horn, siren, Flamethrowers (currently non operating) lakes pipes, CB radio

This car has had the same owner for the last 22 years. It is not perfect but reliable and fun. It has always been maintained and taken on long trips every year. It has always been a driver and not a show car or trailer queen.  It shows well but there are imperfections and chips in the paint. It drives well and is comfortable and a/c blows cold. The only issue is play in the steering box. It has been this way for the last 22 years but new owner should replace to tighten up the road feel.   This car is in Warwick R.I. near the airport, you could fly in and drive home.

I am listing this for a relative and have described this car  the best I can. Feel free to ask any questions before bidding. You are bidding to own, not to come take a look and make an offer.  You can fly in and drive it home or have it shipped at your expense. Veiwing is possible with appointment only. Will not end early. no trades. Buying as is as described. Sold with Bill of Sale and previous registration papers. R.I. does not issue titles for vehicles older than 2001.

KBB 2013 Brand Image Awards has some obvious and oddball winners

Sat, 30 Mar 2013

The sixth edition of the Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards have crowned a wide range of winners - in a couple of cases the recipient of the laurels might say more about KBB users than they do about the actual winner. Compiled from the responses of more than 12,000 shoppers on KBB.com over the past year, there are 13 categories broken into non-luxury, luxury and truck segments "representing the combined wisdom of the American car-buying public."
The award categories have been revamped this year, with some dropping off, some new ones appearing and at least one other given a new term. What isn't surprising is that Honda won Most Trusted Brand for the second year running, Best Value Brand for the third year in a row and took Best Overall Brand, which wasn't on last year's list of awards.
On our own shores, in the non-luxury categories Chrysler got Most Refined Brand and Buick took Best Value Luxury Brand. Neither one of those marques won anything in last year's Brand Image Awards, while Cadillac, which won Best Interior Design Brand and Best Comfort Brand last year - those awards disappeared this year - went home without a single accolade.

2015 Ford Mustang to make world debut on Dec. 5 [w/video]

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

Between a bevvy of spy shots, speculative renders and insidery images from the halls of Car and Driver, we've got a pretty decent idea of what the 2015 Ford Mustang might look like. Still, we're excited to see the real deal as soon as possible.
Turns out that Ford has told us just when that first official look might come, too, although it has chosen somewhat of a backdoor fashion for dropping the news.
The video below popped up on the Ford Mustang YouTube channel this morning, promoting a social media effort called #MustangInspires on. The video and hashtag ask fans of the pony car to share pictures of the car - or "photographic stories of inspiration" - on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. But the truly interesting part of the video description is that which mentions taking "the cover off the all-new Mustang" on December 5. Consider our calendars marked.

2015 Ford F-150 configurator is ready to go to work

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

Ford is inching towards the on-sale date for the eagerly anticipated, aluminum F-150 pickup. While we're preparing to drive the new truck (expect our take on it sooner rather than later), the best-seller has reached another, albeit more minor, milestone as its online configurator has officially been switched on.
We took to Ford's consumer website to mess about with it and see just how ridiculous of a truck we can build. Among the fun things we discovered were these two nuggets - the most expensive truck we could configure was not the top-end Platinum model, but instead the King Ranch, which rang up at $65,955. The other exciting discovery? The new truck would be available in a questionable shade called Blue Jeans (shown above with the optional contrasting Caribou paint). Yep, Blue Jeans.
You can head over to Ford's consumer page and build your very own aluminum F-150 now. Take a look.
