2004 Ford F450 landscaping truck with dump bed. Truck is in excellent mechanical condition and dump bed works excellent. Truck is 2 wheel drive with automatic transmsission. We purchased this truck to help a friend start a tree trimming business which never got off the ground. His plans have changed and he has decided to stay at his current job so we need to sell this truck. This truck runs excellent and is ready to work. Truck does have the usual nicks and dings on the exterior that one would expect from a work truck. The powerfull 6.0 diesel engine runs excellent with no mechanical issues of any kind. Transmission shifts as it should with no issues. We had the engine updated with the EGR delete system and the new style oil cooler when we bought it to avoid these issues in the future. The bed is awsome becuase the sides are segmented and can be removed easily so you can use it as a flat bed as well. I would be willing to drive this truck anywhere in the lower 48 states for delivery as long as buyer covers the cost and my way back home OR shipping can be arranged. You will absoultly NOT find a better deal on a truck this nice anywhere. Truck is located in Clearwater FL. Please ask any questions BEFORE bidding. Thanks-Mike(727)688-6453

Ford Escort testing, may be bound for Europe
Tue, 01 Apr 2014There has been little news about Ford's China-focused Escort concept since debuting at last year's Shanghai Motor Show, but the no-frills sedan has shown its camouflaged face again during cold weather testing in Northern Sweden. While far from a guarantee, the test location might hint that the Blue Oval plans to market the car outside of Asia.
The Escort's black robe and zebra paint make it hard to tell if anything specific has changed about the design, but the shape of the sedan looks close to what was shown in Shanghai. Under the disguise, you can still make out the hexagonal front grille from the concept. When Ford announced the model, the company said that the design wasn't supposed to be "arrogant or pretentious," and it certainly achieved that. The engine range is still a mystery, but it seems safe to expect small, economy-focused powertrains.
A report from last year indicated that Ford may be considering broadening the new Escort beyond Asia and possibly even selling it in Europe. The fact that the company brought it to Sweden for testing could bolster that argument. A release date hasn't been set yet, but the automaker has promised 15 new products for China by 2015. The basic sedan could be on the road soon.
Ford opens the doors on its Swedish rally skunkworks
Fri, 19 Sep 2014It's always amazing to see how different kinds of racecars are made. Formula One racers are often constructed in modern architectural marvels that hint at some of the cutting-edge technology going into the racing. Conversely, rallying is all about sliding around on a varied course as fast as possible, but it often leaves a vehicle caked in mud. So it makes some sense Olsbergs MSE, or simply (OMSE) rally car shop in Nynashamn, Sweden, shows technological sophistication in a more down-to-earth setting. It builds Ford Fiesta ST racers for Global Rallycross there, and this new video gives viewers a tour through the work.
Former rally driver Andreas Eriksson runs OMSE. These days instead of racing, he and the company's 46 employees are building Ford racers from scratch. A ton of work goes into constructing each one, and according to Eriksson, it takes 400 hours to complete each body. At times, things are so busy that some of the technicians live in the shop in apartments that are on premises. There's even a restaurant to keep them fed. Sadly the dyno room is empty during this visit, though.
By the time OMSE is done, a rallycross car might resemble a Fiesta ST on the outside, but as you see in the video, it's a completely different beast underneath. Check out the work it takes to build one of them, and scroll down to read more about it in the official release.
