2004 Ford F450 landscaping truck with dump bed. Truck is in excellent mechanical condition and dump bed works excellent. Truck is 2 wheel drive with automatic transmsission. We purchased this truck to help a friend start a tree trimming business which never got off the ground. His plans have changed and he has decided to stay at his current job so we need to sell this truck. This truck runs excellent and is ready to work. Truck does have the usual nicks and dings on the exterior that one would expect from a work truck. The powerfull 6.0 diesel engine runs excellent with no mechanical issues of any kind. Transmission shifts as it should with no issues. We had the engine updated with the EGR delete system and the new style oil cooler when we bought it to avoid these issues in the future. The bed is awsome becuase the sides are segmented and can be removed easily so you can use it as a flat bed as well. I would be willing to drive this truck anywhere in the lower 48 states for delivery as long as buyer covers the cost and my way back home OR shipping can be arranged. Ford sells 7-millionth Explorer in America
Mon, 17 Nov 2014Say what you will about the evolution of the Ford Explorer, from roofed Ranger to body-on-frame sport utility vehicle to unibody crossover - the bottom line is that it's been a tremendously successful model for Ford. In fact, the Blue Oval automaker has sold seven million Explorer models in the United States alone.
The milestone, marked nearly a quarter-century after the introduction of the original in 1990, comes on the eve of the introduction of a new Explorer at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week. We don't yet know how the new Explorer will shape up, but we're mere days away from finding out.
Now heading into its sixth generation, the Explorer has formed the basis of Ford's utility lineup for over two decades. The Explorer landed on the market right around the time that the Bronco was trailing off, predating the company's expansion into larger SUVs like the Expedition and Excursion and crossovers like the Escape, Edge and Flex.
Ford Mustang EcoBoost has fake engine soundtrack
Wed, 24 Sep 2014The 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost represents a huge change for the Blue Oval as the first pony car in decades to be available with a four-cylinder engine. But a recent tweet (below) from Road & Track raised our curiosity about the new vehicle. Editor Jason Cammisa pulled a fuse while driving the latest 'Stang with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, and he found that both the stereo and engine went quiet in the cabin. That indicated the coupe might have some form of artificial engine sound being piped in - a feature not previously heavily reported for the model. Autoblog spoke with Ford engineer Shawn Carney who confirmed that only the turbocharged four-cylinder Mustang comes with this system, called Active Noise Control.
