2008 Ford F-450 Super Duty King Ranch Crew Cab Pickup 4-door 6.4l Flat Bed on 2040-cars
Sparrows Point, Maryland, United States
Very nice 2008 Ford f450 4x4 automatic king ranch interior, aluminum flatbed (polished) newer Goodyear tires, 6.4l diesel runs great, egr delete, 5" exhaust sct tuner running a tow tune (has higher power tunes if u want to use them), gooseneck hitch, Kelderman air ride 4.88 rears. I simply need a bigger truck. The flatbed is made by Hillsborough. It polishes up very nicely. It has all led lights in it and also a gooseneck ball. The rear suspension has a Kelderman 2 bag system on it. The truck retains the factor leaf springs but the rear hangers are mounted on top of air bags. Its pretty cool. The truck was original a factory pickup. It is not a cab and chassis. If you don't like the aluminum bed you could take it off and install a factory dually bed (I do not have one). This truck is in nice shape. The reason it is marked on ebay as a salvage title is because it was rear ended. I have a clear title in hand. It is not a reconstructed, salvage or branded title. It is a normal clear title. I would drive this truck anywhere. It runs Great and rides great! I would keep it but I need a bigger truck to pull a bigger trailer. If you are the winning bidder and you are not happy with the truck upon inspection, you can walk away. I wold say the only thing wrong with the truck is that it has an ever so slight exhaust leak. You can hear it at idle if you are outside of the truck but when you are running or inside the truck you cant notice it. It wasn't bad enough for me to have it fixed. I had it at the ford dealer about 5k miles ago and they said don't worry about it. Truck is sold as is where is with no warranty. |

Project Ugly Horse: Part VI
Thu, 21 Mar 2013Solid axle? What solid axle?
I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation.
This should not have gone this easily. Having a long and checkered history of simple projects punctuated by much wailing and gnashing of knuckles, I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation when I finally decided to lay hands on the '89 Mustang with the goal of relieving the car of its stock rear axle. Instead, it took less than a full morning's worth of work to carve the old 7.5-inch solid axle from its moorings and mock up something, well, different.
Former Ford president, Jaguar chairman Nick Scheele dead at 70
Sun, 20 Jul 2014We have the privilege here at Autoblog of reporting a lot of good news, but it is our duty as well to report the bad news and sad news as well. And this is one of those occasions as the automotive industry mourns the passing of one of its leaders.
Nick Scheele was born in the UK in 1944 and joined the Ford Motor Company upon graduating from the University of Durham in 1966, staying within the Blue Oval's portfolio for the entirety of his career. After moving to North America in 1978, he rose through the ranks to become president of Ford's Mexican operations in 1988. After acquiring Jaguar, Ford appointed Scheele as its chairman.
Scheele subsequently acted as chairman of all of Ford's European operations, making difficult decisions to take the division out of the red and into the black. He briefly headed up Ford's North American division before he was appointed in 2001 as president and chief operating officer of the global automaker, working under CEO Bill Ford following the departure of Jacques Nasser departure and retaining the role until his retirement in 2005.
Ford Announces Free Brake-Pad Offer If Customers Stop By Dealers
Mon, Aug 4 2014These days, when you buy a new car, it's not unreasonable to expect a certain period of free maintenance to come along as well. Sometimes this is through the life of the warranty, in other cases a little less. But Ford Motor Company is going beyond those deals for at least one part of its cars. As of now, if you buy a set of Motorcraft brake pads for a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury model, you get free replacements for as long as you own the vehicle. The offer is good at Ford or Lincoln dealers and Quick Lane Tire & Auto Centers. "We will replace the pads for as long as you own the vehicle," said Elizabeth Weigandt to Autoblog. She did clarify that the Motorcraft pads are generally for models from the '90s or newer. Also, to take advantage of this program, a person must return to the same dealer each time to get the free parts. Of course, Ford isn't just handing out brake pads to anyone who walks by; there are certain stipulations. First, the components have to be worn down to less than three millimeters to be eligible, and the buyer still has to pay for the labor to install them. If the model is used as a fleet vehicle for commercial purposes like as a taxi or limousine, this offer also doesn't apply; the same thing for racecars. On the plus side, if you recently bought a set of pads from one of the participating locations, you're still in luck. The deal covers parts purchased as of July 1. "This program reflects our commitment to providing customers with an excellent ownership experience regardless of the age of their vehicle," said Frederiek Toney, President of Ford Customer Service, in the company's announcement of the offer.
