THEY REPLACE TRUCKS AS THEY GET SO OLD AND I BOUGHT IT THINKING I WOULD PUT A DUMP BED ON IT BUT THE JOB I WAS GOING TO START CANCELLED ON ME SO I NEED TO SELL IT. IT IS A 2004 550 4X4 WITH A RARE 5 SPEED TRANSMISSION. THE THE TRUCK RUNS GOOD AND HAS NO PROBLEMS. IT HAS THE PTO PUMP ALREADY THERE FOR YOUR BED OR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO PUT ON IT. THE BRAKES ARE GOOD WITH NO PROBLEMS AND THE 4X4 WORKS AS IT SHOULD WITH LOCKING HUBS THAT WORK GOOD. I CANT THINK OF ANY PROBLEM THAT THIS TRUCK NEEDS. IT HAS NO RUST IN IT ANYWHERE. THE BODY IS IN GREAT SHAPE. THE A/C IS COLD AND WORKS AS IT SHOULD. THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SHIPPING COST. I WILL NOT TAKE PAYPAL I WILL TAKE CASH IN PERSON AND OR A BANK TRANSFER. There are many things I could call this exercise. A party is not one of them.
I've spent three days crammed in the axle well of this 1989 Mustang with nothing to keep me company beyond a trouble light, a DeWalt drill on the very last of its legs and billion razor sharp, red hot slivers of metal with an affinity for my most sensitive of regions. My joints are raw from crawling around on the concrete. I'm half deaf from the shriek of the spot weld cutter and the boom of the cold chisel and hammer.
Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
Ford Fiesta ST GRC Racecar is hungry for podiums in 2013
Thu, 07 Feb 2013As we reported earlier, the Chicago showing of this plucky Ford Fiesta ST GRC racer points to bigger and brighter days for Global RallyCross. For the upcoming season, you can expect to see Ken Block and Tanner Foust both driving the Ford racecar, and if last season's results are any indication, you can anticipate quite a few podium appearances, as well.
The Fiesta seen here was built by the Swedes at OlsbergsMSE, and will be driven in anger by Foust in 2013. Modifications are, as you'd expect, extensive, and include an engine, exhaust and braking upgrades, a racing style short-throw shifter and a limited-slip differential. As you can see, the car has been fully stripped out and caged for maximum speed and safety, too.
