2002 F450 SUPER clean don't miss this one!!!
This truck has been very well taken care of and I have maintained this truck with no expense spared.

  • New transmission put in by The Transmission Shop for $2800.00 and still has 35,000 miles under warranty and they replaced the shifter the OD light wasn't working a common issue with these style shifters.
  • April '14, replaced two injectors with factory ford injectors, then had a leak at the high pressure oil pump one of the fittings wouldn't tighten down. So we went and replaced it with a new Bosch pump.
  • New factory Ford water pump, thermostat, fan clutch, radiator and fan. All this work was nearly $3400.00.
  • New tires in February '14 - Hankook steer tires on the front and drive tires on the rear. At a cost of $2500.00
  • I have receipts for everything I've had done and every oil change performed at 3500-4000 miles.
  • Front end was updated with a 05-07 grill and headlights with strobing leds mounted in the grill along with Raptor style lighting at night. EVERY LIGHT IN THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH LED. Cab lights, running lights, parking lights etc.
  • New glow shift gauges, trans temp., boost and EGT gauge. It comes with a superchips programmer that is set to tow mode.
  • Four inch exhaust from the turbo back thru a high flow muffler with a side exit exhaust. The truck has a complete air ride system and does not have leaf springs. It's a Graco Granning system. I replaces the bags in January at a cost of $600.00 it features a self leveling system. When you load it automatically adjust the ride height back to the setting so it never squats or sags. With the air ride it doesn't have the harsh stuff rode of a F450.

Very comfortable. You will not find another truck comparable in as good of condition with records and receipts to validate the work and money spent. 214.402.8565

Ford, Renault, VW shareholder oppose French aid for PSA/Peugeot-Citro"en

Mon, 29 Oct 2012

Pots and kettles, glass houses and stones - that's a little of what we appear to have going on in the European car market. New reports say that that three European automakers have registered their opposition to a loan deal that PSA/Peugeot-Citroën is working on with the French government. Peugeot's finance arm, Banque PSA Finance, is struggling with its debts and has been downgraded by Moody's to its lowest investment-grade classification, one step above junk. This makes it more expensive for a potential buyer to finance a car through Peugeot. The last thing Peugeot needs is more difficulty selling cars in the tough European market, and the situation will only worsen if the bank's credit worthiness takes another hit.
A deal being worked on would have the French government offer €7 billion ($9B U.S.) in bonds to guarantee the bank's loans, which would give the institution some breathing room to manage its debts and lower its interest rates. Outside of that, a group of banks would provide other, non-guaranteed loans to the bank to further help its position. In exchange for state help, though, the government wants seats on Peugeot's board for worker representatives and a government liaison, along with factory and worker guarantees. The Peugeot family would maintain control of the company.
So what we have is government assistance being provided to a car company's finance arm, akin to the way General Motors' GMAC (now Ally Financial) and Chrysler Financial got help in their time of need. What we also have is Ford and Renault, and Germany's State of Lower Saxony, the second-largest shareholder in Volkswagen, voicing their concern about the proposal, because they say it could create an unfair competitive advantage for Peugeot. Everyone in Europe's down market is fighting for every sale, and if Peugeot gets help to keep its auto loan costs down, it figures to help buyers choose Peugeot or Citroën.

Ford partnering with MIT, Stanford on autonomous vehicle research

Fri, 24 Jan 2014

Ask any car engineer what's the biggest variable in achieving fuel economy targets, and he'll tell you "the driver." If one human can't understand human driving behavior enough to be certain about an innocuous number like miles per gallon, how is an autonomous car supposed to figure out what hundreds of other drivers are going to do in the course of a day? Ford has enlisted the help of Stanford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to find out.
Starting with the automated Fusion Hybrid introduced in December, MIT will be developing algorithms that driverless cars can use to "predict actions of other vehicles and pedestrians" and objects within the three-dimensional map provided by its four LIDAR sensors.
The Stanford team will research how to extend the 'vision' of that LIDAR array beyond obstructions while driving, analogous to the way a driver uses the entire width of a lane to see what's ahead of a larger vehicle in front. Ford says it wants to "provide the vehicle with common sense" as part of its Blueprint for Mobility, preparing for an autonomous world from 2025 and beyond.

DoJ fines Japanese parts firms $740M in massive automotive price-fixing scandal

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

Nine Japanese suppliers have pleaded guilty in US court over charges of price fixing in the automotive parts industry, resulting in the Department of Justice doling out a total of $740 million of fines, according to a report from Bloomberg. The scandal, which has resulted in General Motors, Ford, Toyota and Chrysler spending up to $5 billion on inflated parts and driving up prices on 25 million vehicles has sent the DoJ hustling into investigations. "The conduct this investigation uncovered involved more than a dozen separate conspiracies aimed at the U.S. economy," Attorney General Eric Holder (pictured above) said during yesterday's press conference.
As the investigation stands, the DoJ has issued $1.6 billion in fines against 20 companies and 21 individual executives, with 17 of the execs headed to prison. Deputy Assistant Attorney General Scott Hammond said, "The breadth of the conspiracies brought to light today are as egregious as they are pervasive. They involve more than a dozen separate conspiracies operating independently but all sharing in common that they targeted US automotive manufacturers."
Big-name suppliers indicted in the investigation include Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Hitachi Automotive and Mitsuba Corporation. A list of fines and other corporations named in the investigation is available at Bloomberg.
