1999 Ford F450 Car Hauler/ Auto Hauler/ Toy Hauler
This is a real headturner. A rust free Ford F450 with the 7.3L Powerstroke V8 Diesel and a 6 Speed Manual Transmission. The Bed is 20 feet long(14' flat and 6' dovetail, and 6' high capacity ramps). It has 19.5" wheels with 6 practically new Michelin tires(6,000 miles on them). The perfect vehicle for a car lot to haul cars home frome auction, or for hauling your race car or 4x4 jeep and toys to the track or trails. This truck has a GVW of 15,000lbs unlike the typical ramp style trucks built on a 1 ton pickup chassis with a GVW of 11,000lbs which puts you overloaded with a full size car or suv. I have personally had full size trucks on here several times and it does it with ease. With a full 20 foot bed you can load big suv's or full size trucks no problem. Truck has a full rub rail on the outside just like a typical flatbed trailer would have heavy enough for hooking chains or straps anywhere you need to. Winch box location up front if you wish to mount a winch. Heavy duty headboard up front with 2 flood lights used for loading in the dark. Also has a class 3 hitch on the rear to pull a second car on a trailer or dolly. Each side of the truck has a 18"x18"x36" locking toolbox built in with lock and keys. Truck has air ride suspension on the rear. New clutch and rear calipers installed less than 5,000 miles ago.
I will promise you that you will not find a nicer F450 anywhere. This was not some old pickup truck converted to a hauler. Frame was never cut and stitched together, this was a factory long wheelbase truck. It lived in Virginia till last year when I moved it to Pennsylvania. There is not a spot of rust ANYWHERE on this F450's cab. No dings or dents(other than a small dent on front bumper that could be pushed out). No rips, stains, cracks, or odors in the interior. This is a truelly beautiful truck ready to hit the road and make money or be used for the hobbyist hauling personal vehicles. I have never used this truck for hire or for a commercial purpose. It was used to move my personal vehicles ONLY.
Come take a look and inspect the truck you will not be dissapointed. Super clean and ready to go. Truck is listed locally and auction may end early if it sells. Truck is sold AS/IS where is. Must have $500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours. Thanks for looking.

Ford EcoBoost successful because of Soviet laser weapons system expert?
Sun, 28 Jul 2013Mike Kluzner is a man of many talents. Not only is he the software engineer responsible for fuel system diagnostics for Ford globally, he "got his start designing laser weapon systems capable of disabling the navigation systems of enemy satellites" for the former Soviet Union. Quite a résumé, wouldn't you say?
You may be asking yourself the same question that popped into our minds upon reading about Mr. Kluzner: What do laser weapon systems have to do with Ford and its EcoBoost engines? We'll let the man answer himself. "The same process for analyzing key physical relationships works for what we do today in engine combustion, catalyst chemistry and mechanics," says Kluzner. "These are all part of Ford's software engineering expertise." Who are we to argue?
Ford also employs an engineer who previously designed software to detect damage to the heat tiles on the International Space Station, as well as one who's past work involved particle physics, says the automaker in the press release below. David Bell (pictured above right), global boost system controls engineer for Ford, describes the software running EcoBoost as "the secret sauce" that makes the technology work as the driver intends and demands.
Ford Australia pulls the ol' talking car prank
Mon, 07 Apr 2014Siri from Apple has proven that being able to talk to your technology doesn't always work perfectly. But what if it could eventually go far enough to give a personality to inanimate objects like our cars? Ford took just this path to comedic effect by playing a prank on many unsuspecting Australians, in a new commercial for its EcoSport compact crossover.
The Aussies seem very nonchalant about having a random parked car talk to them, and they seem surprisingly game when it asks them to get in, call a celebrity and tell a joke. (We're guessing there are some hilarious outtakes, too.) Scroll down to watch some folks from Down Under have a conversation with Ford's CUV.
Ford tells Congress it collects and protects some driver data
Fri, 14 Feb 2014Last month Ford's Jim Farley made waves at the CES when it was reported he told show attendees, "We have GPS in your car, so we know what you're doing. By the way, we don't supply that data to anyone." Farley and Ford later partially retracted and clarified that statement.
Spurred by a desire for further transparency on data collection policies, Ford representatives answered questions from Congress, specifically Senator Al Franken (D-Minn.), about driver privacy.
The Detroit News reports that Ford told Congress it does collect some vehicle location data in an effort to "troubleshoot and improve our products" on behalf of the driver. Ford went on to say that it only collects limited data after receiving permission from owners.
