If your looking for a great looking very reliable and affordable Super Duty then this may be your best choice for under $12k.

I am NOT a Dealer. This has been my personal truck for many years. It has all of the most desirable options having been ordered with the Premium Lariat package. This includes every interior comfort option available as well as the premium towing package and factory aluminum wheels. The interior and exterior show normal signs of use. Aside from wear on the driver seat the interior is excellent and very clean. Everything is power and works with the exception of the power door locks (they work manually). I have not bothered to fix this because I drive alone and it never mattered.
The exterior has a few small paint chips and a small dent in the passenger side rear panel (pictured). This truck has all original paint and it still shines very well.
Inside all 4 doors the inner rocker has the typical rust areas. They do not show when the doors are closed and are cosmetic only. The bed has some minor rust as well. Its 100% solid and is not a problem.
This was not used as a work truck. I use this for my daily 120 mile (round trip) work commute. With the A/C blowing ice cold I routinely get 17-18 mpg!.
I purchased this truck with a head gasket issue and at that time with the advise of the mechanic decided to have the entire engine overhauled (including the injection pump). That was about 120k miles ago. The truck has run flawlessly since. These 7.3 Powerstoke engines are known to last over 500k miles!
The alternator, water pump, belt and tensioner were just replaced in May. Both Batteries were also replaced this past November.
Tires, front end, and brakes are excellent. The truck drives straight and has NO known mechanical issues.
I have treated this truck like a member of the family. I just bought my wife a new car and I am taking her hand me down so I can save further on fuel costs. I really hate to sell it because it is so well sorted and has been very faithful to us. I have this listed for sale locally on Craigslist and reserve the right to pull this auction at anytime unless buy it now is used. I have set a buy it now price far below what lesser trucks have sold for here on ebay. Payment for truck will be accepted in cash or direct bank transfer only.
I "may" be able to assist in delivery but this is not included with the selling price.
Please contact me with any questions. I have done my best to provide a very honest description. Please see all the pictures as well. This truck will make a very happy new owner.

Preserving automotive history costs big bucks

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

$1.8 million is spent each year to maintain GM's fleet of 600 production and concept cars.
When at least two of the Detroit Three were on the verge of death a few years back, one of the tough questions that was asked of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler execs - outside of why execs were still taking private planes to meetings - was why each company maintained huge archives of old production and concept vehicles. GM, for example, had an 1,100-vehicle collection when talk of a federal bailout began.

Jay Leno drives postcard-perfect '32 Ford Highboy Roadster

Mon, 25 Aug 2014

At the turn of the century, it was arguably the Honda Civic that best defined inexpensive performance tuning, and in the '50s it was the Tri-5 Chevys. One of the earliest platforms to gain a huge following among young people looking for a cheap way to go fast was the classic '32 Ford Highboy Roadster. This week, Jay Leno's Garage looks at one of the very first vehicles that defined the look of the hot rod heyday.
This '32 Ford was built in the '40s and graced the cover of the fourth issue of Hot Rod Magazine back in 1948. All of the hot rods that you see shining at car shows today owe a serious debt of gratitude to this roadster. It bears all of the cues that define the look, including a notched frame and hidden door hinges. Under the three-piece hood is a flathead V8 boasting all sorts of period modifications, including copper cylinder heads. It was seriously fast in its era too, and proved it by reaching 112.21 miles per hour on a dry lakebed in 1947.
These days, this hot rod is on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Although, if you can't make it to California to see it, the United States Postal Service is celebrating this Ford with one of its two hot rod Forever stamps. Like Jay says in the video, in terms of hot rodding, "it all comes back to this." Check out the video to learn more about this rolling piece of tuning history.

This 1969 Ford F-100 has a Cadillac CTS-V engine lurking underhood

Fri, Jan 30 2015

Something always feels just a little taboo when someone builds a custom and then slots in a powertrain from a rival automaker. That's exactly the case with this modded 1969 Ford F-100 boasting a highly tuned LSA supercharged V8 like from the second-gen Cadillac CTS-V. However, with a claimed 800 horsepower on tap thanks in part to running an estimated 20 pounds of boost, it's easy to get over any bad feelings. Built by Tommy Pike Customs in South Carolina, the truck tries to keep the exterior looking somewhat stock. Although, the jade green and satin gold paint, Quaker State logo, lowered suspension and black wheels immediately suggest something is up. Once the F-100 starts up with its menacing growl, absolutely any doubts of this beast being unaltered are immediately gone. Not so obvious are some tweaks to actually help put all that power down, including disc brakes and independent suspension setups at the front and rear. The video gives some glimpses at a few of Pike's other creations, but the real star here is definitely his mean, green Ford.
