This is a hay truck we've been using for the past 5 years or so. We bought it locally used and it has been regularly maintained both at the dealership and as part of our farm equipment maintenance program. The mileage is actually a bit under 90K, but since we drive it now and again, it'll be higher than the 88K shown in the odometer picture. All the mechanicals work fine. The truck runs strong and starts easily even in the Montana winter. It has an automatic transmission, with the towing package, and a 5th wheel ball under a metal cover in the hydraulic bed. The rear bumper is drilled for ball hitches, and there are electric connectors for both the 5th wheel and bumper hitch. The cannonball bed is in good condition, and is the electric/hydraulic type, so there is no PTO. There is a largish dent on the driver side back door, which we haven't got around to fixing, some scratches in the paint and small dings from brush and branches and there is a small hole in the driver side seat cover. None of these things affects the operation of the truck, so we haven't fixed them. To compensate, we priced the truck below the blue book price. We have contracted out the cow/calf part of our operation, so the truck is no longer needed.

Europe's most-wanted classic car is... the Ford Mustang?
Sat, 28 Sep 2013Over the span of its 49 years and five generations, the Ford Mustang has held a special place in the hearts of automotive enthusiasts in the US, but, as it turns out, this car is also very popular amongst European car lovers. Earlier this summer, AutoScout24 - a new and used car shopping site in Europe - polled around 75,000 European "car lovers" (not sure how they vetted the respondents) to see which cars were the most popular, and the Mustang came out on top over iconic European classics like the BMW M1 and Volkswagen Beetle.
In the whole of Europe, 37 percent of those polled dream of owning a Mustang, but that number jumps in individual countries like Austria (42 percent) and Spain (41 percent). Rounding out the top five popular classics in Europe are the Mini and Citroën 2CV. Find out which cars made up the rest of the top 10 in the press release posted below.

70% of pickups could use aluminum by 2025
Wed, 11 Jun 2014In the next decade, the auto industry will see an explosion in its use of aluminum to cut weight and increase fuel economy, according to a study from market analysts Ducker Worldwide cited by The Detroit News. We are already seeing the lightweight metal show up extensively in luxury models from Europe, but with the impending launch of aluminum-intensive 2015 Ford F-150 (pictured above), North America is using it even more, as well. The report predicts 70 percent of US pickups to have aluminum bodies by 2025.
It won't just be pickups that see the benefit, though. The average amount of aluminum in US vehicles is forecasted by the study to grow from an average of 350 pounds in 2013 to about 550 pounds by 2025. The most common parts to use it will be hoods, doors and - to some extent - roofs, as well.
The massive increase in pickups' aluminum content hardly seems surprising. The F-150 is predicted to use so much that it might cause a short-term shortage, according to one earlier report. At the same time General Motors is heavily rumored to be negotiating with suppliers for the next generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. Ram is the last holdout of the Big Three, but the study predicts that not to last.
