1997 Ford F350 XLT Crew cab 4x4. 7.3 power stroke deisel, automatic transmission, long bed. Truck has 158,649.5 miles and is in excellent condition. Interior is grey cloth and is in great shape for its age. It has the standard xlt features and a couple aftermarket ones. Standard power windows and door locks and trailer break control unit, power mirros. Engine has a down pipe and aftermarket air cleaner. Truck comes with two keys and one key fob. There are aluminum steps at each door and the truck bed is coated with linex(black). The interior is in good shape with all electric features in working order. Alpine cd/am/fm player. Uniden cb with dual whips(not sure how to tune it) and "big mouth" external speaker. The carpets could use a shampoo, but arent that bad. Seats are in good shape for the year and milage of the truck, rear bench seat even still has the original cup holer!!. Dash has a very small crack in the middle of it. not big at all, maybe a quarter inch or so.exterior is near perfect with slight scuffs and minimal dings, please view pictures. Truck runs and shifts very well and is driven rarely! The main reason for my sale. I looked long and hard for this beauty and finally found it at Good Chevrolet in Renton, WA. Truck is driven about once a month if that. With it sitting for that long the rear breaks tend to be very "touchy" upon intial driving but mellow after awhile i think due to the drums cleaning themselves of corrosion due to being dormant for so long. Tires are near new(315/75/R16) and wheels are in good shape as well. center caps could be replaced preferable with aluminum or stainless caps. Truck is equiped to haul a camper. It has rear airbags and a camper plug in its bed. its equiped with "happy jack" tiedowns. If you are the winning bidder, a 1000.00 pay pal non refundable deposit is due within 24hrs, and balance is due within 7 business days. Truck will have a reserve. I have tryed to explain my truck to the best of my abilities and will say it is being sold as is without a warranty. Pictures will speak for themselves and please feel free to ask me any questions..Happy bidding:) Buyer is responsible for pick up and,or shipping costs. buyer is also responsible for all taxes and title tranfer& registration cost as well. Title in hand.

2015 Ford Mustang Convertible to recreate Empire State Building stunt
Tue, 25 Mar 2014It would have been all too easy to miss the auto show debut of the 2015 Ford Mustang convertible. It was, after all, unveiled alongside its fixed-roof counterpart at the Detroit Auto Show this past January, lumping coupe and cabrio into one debut. But Ford is evidently still intent on making its new droptop stand out. The top of the Empire State Building ought to do the trick.
Automotive history buffs may recall that, 50 years ago, Ford unveiled its first Mustang convertible atop what was then the tallest building in the world, that Art Deco icon of the New York skyline. Half a century later, Ford is recreating the feat and bringing the new topless Mustang to the same observation deck on the building's 86th floor.
Getting it up there, of course, will be no easy task. While they'd usually airlift the vehicle onto the roof or lift it by crane, the spire protruding from atop the building makes approaching the narrow observation deck too dangerous, and no mobile crane can telescope the thousand-plus feet it would take to get the pony car up there.
1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express in Generation Gap showdown with 1933 Ford Pickup
Fri, 18 Jul 2014Auto enthusiasts love a good debate, whether it's Mustang versus Camaro or Ferrari against Lamborghini. But how about a battle between two very different vintages of classic pickup trucks? In this case, the fight is between a 1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express and a 1933 Ford Model 46 truck with a flathead V8.
The shootout comes courtesy of the internet series Generation Gap, and its concept is super-simple. One guy prefers classics, and the other likes newer rides. They choose a category, pick two vehicles and put them head to head. In this case, neither is exactly modern, though. The Ford is more than old enough to receive Social Security checks, and the Dodge is hardly a young whippersnapper.
Other than both being pickups, these two models were made to serve very different functions. The Li'l Red Express was basically the progenitor of today's muscle trucks, with a big V8 that made it one of the quickest new models in its day (admittedly, 1979 was a rough time for automotive performance). On the other hand, the '33 Ford was just meant to work, with little pretense for anything else. One of the hosts describes it as "the simplest, most difficult" vehicle he's driven because of the tricky double clutchwork necessary to shift gears. Scroll down to watch the video and try to decide which of these two American classics you would rather have in your garage.
Ford adds 850 jobs to build 2015 F-150
Tue, 14 Oct 2014Pickup trucks tend not to advance at quite the same pace as the rest of the industry. That's what makes the new Ford F-150 so remarkable, jettisoning its old steel construction in favor of aluminum. It's a game changer that Ford is betting big on, and in anticipation of surging demand, the Blue Oval automaker is adding 850 new jobs to put the thing together.
Those 850 new employees will be centered at Ford's Rouge complex in Michigan - with 300 at Dearborn Stamping, 50 more at Dearborn Diversified and 500 at the Dearborn Truck facility, the latter of which has already kicked off what Ford describes as "the largest manufacturing transformation in decades." Old manufacturing equipment is being replaced with the latest technologies, and even the Ford Rouge Factory Tour is undergoing a complete overhaul.
The new jobs come as part of the commitments Ford made to the UAW in 2011 to create 12,000 hourly jobs in the United States by 2015 - a number which Ford has already exceeded at 14,000. Over 4,000 of those are centered in southeastern Michigan.
