You are bidding on my 99 F350 Diesel and 2008 Kaufman 3 4 Car Trailer

This is a 99 F350 Crew Cab Automatic Lariet Diesel with 294K Miles on it. I bought it from a gentleman who used it for his tow vehicle on the weekends when he took his race car to the track back in 2011. It has 222,000 back then. It does have damage on the Front Driver Fender from a Blow out, Rear Pass Door from a Lady hitting me and a Dent in the Rear Corner Cab from when I backed up too far with the Trailer. I have a line up for the Door and Fender that I can try and get. The interior is Clean minus the Driver Seat which is Torn. It has power everything, including locks, windows, cruise and Cold AC. It also has a ton of work done too it that I did for preventitive Maintenance so we would never get stranded. It has with in the past 2 years, Rotors, Brakes, Bearings, Mid Shift Bearing, Water Pump, Batteries, Idler Pulleys, Starter, Fan Clutch and Glow Plugs. Oil was changed every 5k and Fuel Filter every 10k. It has a aftermarket alarm and stock alarm. It also comes with a Tool box which has all the Straps in it for 3 cars.

The tires are new on the front and the rears will have to be replaced. Im gettin rid of it because the rig sits more then it gets used since I have a 7 car. This will be a great money maker for someone getting into the business. The truck averages 11-13 with 3 cars on it on the display.

The trailer is a 2008 Kaufmann 3-4 Car Hauler with Front and Rear Flips to fit 4 cars and make you that extra money. It is a 3 axle trailer with Brakes, Drums and Bearings done Recently on 2 axles. Tires are good all the way around on the trailer and are all E Rated. It does have a winch but was broken when a fork lifter hit it when unloading a vehicle.

If you have any questions please call before Bidding. This truck is for sale locally and I do reserve the right to end this early. I require 500.00 via paypal immediately after auction and the rest cash in hand upon pick up. If you have any questions what so ever PLEASE CALL OR TEXT 708 927 2476 Happy Bidding

Ford F-150, Toyota Tacoma top ASG list of most eco-friendly trucks

Mon, Mar 31 2014

No one's going to confuse the massively popular Ford F-150 pickup truck with a green vehicle, but at least it performs well in an environmental sense when compared to its brethren. The Automotive Science Group (ASG) took on the odd (to us, at least) task of measuring which pickup trucks are friendliest to the environment and found that the big seller in the Blue Oval's flagship F-series came up big, while the Toyota Tacoma came up, well, slightly smaller. That's a good thing. Among the 245 light-duty trucks that ASG studied, the 3.7-liter V6-powered F-150 won ASG's award for full-size trucks for both regular and crew cabs. Meanwhile, the 2.7-liter Toyota Tacoma, with its fuel-economy rating of 23 miles per gallon combined, had smallest overall life-cycle carbon footprint and won ASG's two mid-sized categories. Finally, the Chevrolet Silverado won best all-around performance in the full-size extended-cab category. The ASG factored in eco-friendliness, price and social performance (which is measured by, "considering the rights of those charged with vehicle manufacture and assembly") to come up with its findings. Sales of Ford's F-Series trucks rose 8.4 percent last year to 74,592 units and accounted for more than a third of the total 2013 sales of Ford and its Lincoln unit. Check out the ASG's press release below. Truck Buyers Faced With "Eco" Options Galore Which 2014 full-size trucks warrant eco claims? 25 March 2014 [Santa Rosa, CA] – With a myriad of eco-branded trucks hitting the North American marketplace in 2014 – from Ford's EcoBoost and GM's EcoTec3 to Ram's latest addition, the EcoDiesel – the Automotive Science Group (ASG) was prompted to offer an objective, scientifically-based assessment to determine exactly which 2014 trucks actually earn their "eco" badge. According to ASG and the principles of ecological economics, a vehicle's eco-rating must be multi-faceted to include both environmental and economic considerations, and so the Group's proprietary rating platform – the Automotive Performance Index – does just that. Using a unique combination of vehicle data inputs that include conventional specifications as well as social, environmental and economic performance indicators, ASG's vehicle assessments empower consumers to make choices based on one's personal principles and financial requisites.

Ford fights back against patent trolls

Fri, Feb 13 2015

Some people are just awful. Some organizations are just as awful. And when those people join those organizations, we get stories like this one, where Ford has spent the past several years combatting so-called patent trolls. According to Automotive News, these malicious organizations have filed over a dozen lawsuits against the company since 2012. They work by purchasing patents, only to later accuse companies of misusing intellectual property, despite the fact that the so-called patent assertion companies never actually, you know, do anything with said intellectual property. AN reports that both Hyundai and Toyota have been victimized by these companies, with the former forced to pay $11.5 million to a company called Clear With Computers. Toyota, meanwhile, settled with Paice LLC, over its hybrid tech. The world's largest automaker agreed to pay $5 million, on top of $98 for every hybrid it sold (if the terms of the deal included each of the roughly 1.5 million hybrids Toyota sold since 2000, the company would have owed $147 million). Including the previous couple of examples, AN reports 107 suits were filed against automakers last year alone. But Ford is taking action to prevent further troubles... kind of. The company has signed on with a firm called RPX, in what sounds strangely like a protection racket. Automakers like Ford pay RPX around $1.5 million each year for access to its catalog of patents, which it spent nearly $1 billion building. "We take the protection and licensing of patented innovations very seriously," Ford told AN via email. "And as many smart businesses are doing, we are taking proactive steps to protect against those seeking patent infringement litigation." What are your thoughts on this? Should this patent business be better managed? Is it reasonable that companies purchase patents only to file suit against the companies that build actual products? Have your say in Comments.

2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid

Thu, 02 May 2013

No Prius Killer
As much as we enthusiasts like to rail on the lowly Toyota Prius as the harbinger of death for all we hold dear, there's no denying the machine's absolute and interminable grip on the hybrid hatchback market in the United States. Toyota has so thoroughly sunk its teeth into the segment that you can clearly hear the automaker's incisors clacking against one another with the conclusion of each financial quarter. And there's little wonder why. Buyers can plop down less than $25,000 and have a runabout that can return up to an estimated 51 miles per gallon in the city, leaving every other entry on the market with precious little gristle to gnaw on.
Enter the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid. With its claimed 47 mpg combined, the funky little hatch from Europe already falls behind the 48 mpg city offered by the Prius, but that marginal sacrifice in fuel economy could be a small price to pay for buyers who want a credible alternative to the stalwart Toyota. Unfortunately, like the Fusion Hybrid, the C-Max Hybrid had trouble even approaching its Environmental Protection Agency estimates during our time with the car.
