Clean engine, strong dump bed with twin cylinders and push button to raise and lower. 9' long x 7' wide steel bed. Bed is in great shape. Tires still have alot of life on them approx 50%. A/C is new and very cold. Carpet has some coffee stains. New white paint job. I have always had seat covers on so the seats are still in good shape."

This truck is very solid. It only has 146,000 miles on it. It is the 7.3 Turbo Diesel and has been driven with care. I have added a 9' long by 7' wide dump bed to it. It is controlled by twin cylinders that can lift 22,000lbs. This is obviously overkill because the truck can only handle around 2,500lbs of extra weight and I strongly advise not putting much more than that. Dump is contralled by a push button controller inside the cab and dumps higher than what is shown in the picture. There is a tarping system to cover loads aswell. Tires are approx. 50% used. I just had the A/C redone and it blows nice and cold. Brakes are in good condition. Starter is 1 year old. Batteries are 1.5yrs old approx. I also just had a new white paint job put on it. I have taken good care of this truck as it has been good to me. If you know how to treat a diesel, it will run forever. This truck does not blow black smoke very easily which is a sign that I did not rag on it. The only reason that I am getting rid of this truck is because I am transfering to a box truck. This will make a great farm truck for someone. The truck is located in Panama City, FL. You may email me any questions you have to (naturescapespc@hotmail.com). Please read the description first fully and then ask me any question. This is a great truck and I want you to feel comfortable so ask questions and I will respond asap. Upon completion of the auction, a $500 deposit through paypal within 24 hrs.

2015 Ford F-150 gets Power Wheels treatment [w/video]

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

With the introduction of its forthcoming 2015 F-150, Ford is breaking with convention by shifting from steel-intensive construction to aluminum. But what if it weren't made of metal altogether? What if it were made of plastic instead, and packed an electric motor instead of an internal-combustion engine?
Feast your eyes, boys and girls, on the new Power Wheels F-150. Built by Fisher-Price and licensed by Ford, the third-generation ride-on toy started development nine months before the full-size version debuted at the Detroit Auto Show this past January, and is hitting sidewalks and driveways across the country this September.
The Power Wheels F-150 carries a sticker price of $349.99, and there's a special version at Toys R Us with LED headlamps (just like the real F-150) for an extra $10.

The history and future of the Ford Bronco

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

Some have suggested that the Bronco's demise was hastened by the fallout from the O.J. trial.
Twenty years ago today, ex-NFL linebacker Al "A.C." Cowlings drove his friend and onetime running back Orenthal James "O.J." Simpson on a parade lap of the Los Angeles highway system and onto an ignoble page of the history books. If you're in your late 20s or older, or a fastidious young student of 1990s American history, you're absolutely aware that Al and O.J.'s steed for the 'chase' was a white Ford Bronco. The white Ford Bronco, even.

Ford reveals concept trucks that ultimately became Atlas

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

The Ford Atlas Concept was one of the quiet success stories of the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, and now Ford has given us a quick glimpse as to how that creation came to be. Designers actually combined two early sketches to build the Atlas. One, called the Bullet Train, is a futuristic, aerodynamic creation, while the other, aptly named the Locomotive, features the squared off proportions we're familiar with.
Once designers settled on the truck's proportions, they began nailing down exactly which attributes they wanted the final design to have. The Concept's notched windshield originated as a forked glass roof that seamlessly transitioned into the windscreen.
Likewise, designers wanted to fit the truck's tailgate with a storage compartment for tools and a first aid kit, but settled on the dual-purpose step/cargo cradle. Interestingly enough, the concept's active aero shutter wheels actually originated in some of the earliest sketches. Check out the photos and slides here for a closer look.
