For sale is an absolutely immaculate 2005 Ford F350 Superduty 6.0L Diesel King Ranch Edition Dually Crew Cab pickup truck. This truck is in pristine, garage kept conditions. It only has 16,364 miles! This truck has been garage kept it's entire life. It looks, smells, and runs like it's brand new. I have uploaded over 100 pictures of this very beautiful truck for you to take a look at. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, no ding, dents, scratches or rust anywhere.

Mechanically, The truck only has put on 16,364 miles since it left the factory. The powerful 6.0L Powerstroke v8 produces 325 hp @ 3300 RPM and 570 foot-pounds of torque @ 2000 RPM. The engine is completely original with absolutely nothing changed. The truck pulls like a champ and isn't even broken in yet. The Torqshift 5 speed 5R110 transmission is perfect shape. It's the dually and it's equipped with the 4.30 limited slip axle. Prepped with a factory 15k trailer hitch receiver but has never once pulled a trailer. Also has dual batteries and dual alternators. Factory rear stabilizer bar. 13,700 GAWR

Inside, the truck absolutely mint as well. When you open the doors, you can smell the distinct king ranch leather as if it was still 2005. The leather seats are in perfect shape, no scratches, no stretching, no stains, absolutely nothing wrong. It has the quad captain chairs option, you won't be able to find more comfortable rear seating anywhere else. Power front seats, power mirrors, telescopic mirrors, heated seats, It has the 6 disk CD changer and sounds very loud and clear. It has the power moon roof option. It also has the optional uplifter switches. Adjustable pedals. Ice cold AC. Two sets of keys and all the original owners manuals.

Outside, the truck is beautiful. It has been garage kept since day one. The clear is flawless and the two tone paint really is beautiful. There are zero scratches, zero dents, zero stains, zero peeling, zero rust. It looks brand new. The only custom work done to it is a Line-X bed liner with full lifetime warranty, and steel chrome bull bar up front. It has never, ever had to tow anything or had anything heavy in the bed. It has the 8 foot bed.

The best way that I can describe this truck is bring absolutely pristine. It had every option available in it's year and is probably the lowest mile KR superduty from this year in the world.

Truly, a one of a kind truck and a relic to the past. It gets a lot of attention everywhere I go. The only reason I am selling this is because I have three kids and there's only four seats, and it'd be a crime to swap out the rear seats when they are in such perfect shape, so I'd rather sell it and buy something that can accommodate my needs. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 813-300-5343. My name is Oscar. Thanks for looking

Here's what the UAW will be angling for in next year's contract negotiations

Mon, Dec 15 2014

The United Auto Workers union is about to enter a new round of negotiations with the Detroit Three automakers, and this time, the focus is on the end of the two-tier wage system. Introduced in 2007, the two-tier wage system was enacted to allow General Motors, Ford and Chrysler to categorize its hourly employees under two categories: Tier 1 for veteran employees with full rights and benefits, and Tier 2 for short-term or entry-level employees compensated under a different schedule. The idea was that the system would permit the automakers to invest more in their plants and hire new employees as part of their respective recovery plans without being saddled with all the costs associated with hiring full-time employees. Now that the automakers are (more or less) back on their proverbial feet, however, the UAW wants to see an end to the two-tier system, and will likely make that a center-point of its negotiations next year to replace the current arrangement that is scheduled to end in September 2015. Not all members of the UAW will necessarily be interested in ending the two-tier system, however. According to The Detroit News, some Tier 1 workers may be more interested in negotiating a raise in their hourly rate – something which they haven't received in almost a decade. Tier 2 workers, meanwhile, may be more motivated to keep the tiered system in place, as their arrangement includes provisions for profit-sharing payments that have seen the automakers pay out billions to so-called short-term employees in lump-sum payments. Reconciling the two competing demands from two categories of union members and presenting a united front in negotiations may prove the biggest challenge for the UAW's new president, Dennis Williams. And with the right to strike – something which was suspended during the last round of negotiations in 2011 – the union has a bigger bargaining chip in its pocket.

Expert: 54.5 mpg CAFE standard can be reached without many plug-ins

Sat, Jan 18 2014

Johnson Controls executive Brian Kesseler isn't likely to get any holiday presents this year from Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn or Tesla Motors head Elon Musk, but lots of other folks might be happy with what he has to say about automakers' efforts to reach stricter fleetwide fuel-economy standards. Speaking at the Automotive News World Congress, Kesseler said automakers wouldn't need to sell an extensive number of plug-in vehicles in order to meet the 54.5 mile per gallon Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standard the US government set in 2012 for 2025 model-year vehicles. In fact, he said, components such as stop-start engine technology, turbochargers and direct injection may actually do the trick. Already, things like smaller engine sizes and lighter cars are already playing major roles in spurring fuel-efficiency gains. Of course, Johnson Controls sells batteries specially built for stop-start systems, so Kesseler does have a bit of skin in this game. The 54.5-mpg CAFE standard equates to about a 40-mpg "real world" fuel-efficiency level. To put that into perspective, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said in a report late last year that model-year 2013 average fuel economy was an even 24 mpg. That was up from 23.6 mpg for the 2012 model year and 22.4 mpg for 2011. Ford S-Max Concept proves minivans aren't always minivans [w/video]

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

Ford's latest don't-call-it-a-minivan is called the S-Max Concept, and it's a looker. As you can see, the conceptual overgrown hatch makes good use of Ford's latest design language, especially at the very front of the S-Max, which bears a striking resemblance to production models that include the Focus, C-Max and Fusion.
Powering the S-Max Concept is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, and while Ford doesn't actually list power figures for the concept, previous estimates put the mill at 133 kW of power (about 178 horsepower) and 240 Nm of torque (about 177 pound-feet). Inside, there's room for seven passengers and at least some of their luggage.
As you'd expect, the S-Max is loaded up with all of Ford's latest infotainment technology, including Sync and MyFordTouch. More interestingly, there are also onboard heart and blood glucose monitors that we doubt will be seeing the light of production anytime soon. On that topic, don't expect to see any S-Max-shaped vehicles hitting the US market from Ford, either. Scroll down below for the press release, but not before checking out the high-res image gallery above.
