I have for sale a 2005 Ford F350 truck with a flatbed dump on it and a 5.9L Cummins diesel engine. It has a five speed transmission. I've had this truck for around two years. It runs and drives good. It has a little over 213,000 miles. It had a blown engine in it when I got it, and we put a Cummins engine with a 5-speed transmission in it out of a 1997 Dodge one ton truck. The engine is 12 valve and runs good. The truck had air conditioning, but we never did hook it back up to work after the engine conversion. It has some dents and scratches, but very little rust if any. I would guess the tires to have 40-60% tread. The tires are 17 inch. I put a new clutch in it in the last six months. We put new brakes, front and back, in the last three months. It does not have power windows, power locks, or cruise.

The bed that's on it is an all steel flatbed. It measures around 8 feet wide and a little over 9 feet long. It runs through the transmission to make it work. It is not a hydraulic over electric. This bed would pick up 3-4 tons easily. It has a hitch on the back to pull a trailer. I put a set of 2x12 boards on the sides that can be removed. It would be a great truck for a farmer or landscaper.

If you have a positive feedback score of less than 10, please do not make an offer on this truck.

If you have any questions or would like to come see the truck, feel free to email me.

This truck is being sold as is/where is with no warranties expressed or implied.

I reserve the right to end this listing early, as I also have the truck for sale locally.

Once paid in full, I can deliver the truck up to 200 miles for $1.50 per mile, one way.

Ford Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost sales robust in early going

Tue, 13 May 2014

Okay, okay, okay, so I was just a smidge wrong. Those that read my review of the Ford Fiesta with the new 1.0-liter, EcoBoost engine will know that while I really enjoyed the torquey little three-cylinder, I was concerned that Ford's decision to force 1.0-liter owners into a manual transmission, steel wheels and one trim level might hurt sales of the new engine. I was also concerned that the promised 45-mile-per-gallon highway rating wouldn't be enough to tempt buyers into trying an engine that's so far outside of what the general public is use to. My concerns, though, seem to have been for naught.
While not doing a booming business on the triple-equipped Fiesta, Ford is seeing a take rate of four to eight percent per month in the engine's first few months on sale. Now, four to eight percent might not sound like a lot - if, like last year, the Fiesta sells around 71,000 units, there'd be barely 5,600 1.0-liter models on the road. It is also small potatoes relative to the take rate on EcoBoost-equipped vehicles across the Ford range, which US sales analyst Erich Merkle estimates to be roughly 35 to 40 percent of retail sales. Still, according to The Detroit News, the 1.0-liter is getting adopted at roughly the same rate as the sparkling Fiesta ST, which should be a solid indication of just how well this little engine is doing.
The 1.0-liter's success "really speaks volumes, not just to what we're doing with the Fiesta, but with EcoBoost in general," Merkle told Autoblog.

Ford dealers offered discounts on tools to fix aluminum

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

With the introduction of the aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 (and the likely use of aluminum in future Ford products), Ford is looking to help its dealerships reduce costs related to repairing this more labor-intensive material. Automotive News is reporting that Ford dealers with body shops will require an estimated $30,000 to $50,000 in equipment and training to work on aluminum, and to help alleviate the financial burden of the new F-150, Ford has announced a special 20-percent discount on this equipment.
Dealers will be able to save up to $10,000 on tools such as welders, air-filtration systems and rivet guns and to create aluminum-specific work stations. The new F-150 goes on sale in the fourth quarter, and dealers have until October 31 to take advantage of this deal, according to the report.

Watch Tanner Foust hustle the Fiesta ST 'round the 'Ring

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

The last time we saw Tanner Foust at the Nürburgring he was sloshing an SVT Raptor from kerb to kerb. Sticking with Ford but swapping keys, this time the drift champion and Top Gear USA host goes to the opposite end of the manufacturer's tuner garage and plucks a Fiesta ST for 'Ring duty.
The 179-horsepower front-wheel-driver acquits itself well by the end of the video. But be warned, Foust doesn't set a 'Ring time and it's shot like a commercial... because that's what it is. Still, you can enjoy all two minutes and 31 seconds of it below.
