I have owned this truck since June of 2005. It has been used more as a car than anything else. It was my pride and joy for years. It has also been used as a trailer puller at times. It has not been used roughly. It has been adult, privately owned. It has pulled our 5th wheel trailer a couple of times each year for vacation. It has also been used to pull a cattle trailer a few times each year for church camps and mission trips. I am selling this truck because I am changing jobs and need to buy a small car that gets really good gas mileage, plus I have another one ton I can use to pull trailers with. It's just not as pretty. Considering it's age, this truck is in good condition. The interior only has a couple of blemishes, the driver's seat has a small tear on the left seat cushion where I get in and out. The volume knob does not work on the radio. The transmission is brand new and has a 12 month warranty. There is no tailgate with the truck. Since I primarily pulled gooseneck trailers, the tailgate got damaged. There is a dent in the passenger side rear door. I included a picture of this. I have included pictures of the truck with this add trying to show as much of the condition as I can. Please contact me with any questions. I am relisting this truck because the last guy that won the bidding was dishonest. First, he disappeared for a week after winning the bid. Next, he called me and had to pick up the vehicle the next day but he had his money ready. When he showed up he wanted to renegotiate the deal after I drove half way to Dallas to meet him. Let me say this as clearly as I can. If you want to play games or renegotiate the deal after winning the bid please waste someone else's time. I am not interested in renegotiating after a deal is done. A real man keeps his word. This is a good truck with 205,000 miles. I am only selling it because of a job change. If you have any questions concerning the truck please ask them prior to bidding. Once the bidding is finished I am through answering questions, except for driving directions for where we meet. Thanks for looking at and considering my vehicle.
The truck is for sale locally so I reserve the right to close the auction if it sells locally. |

Saab-powered Ford is the most unlikely drift car we've seen
Tue, Jan 19 2016Yes, you read that headline correctly. It's supposed to be a Saab-powered Ford, and not the other way around (although we fully support the notion of a Sonnet with a Flathead V8). Apparently, some lunatic in the UK took an ass-less 1953 Ford Anglia, paired it with a turbocharged Saab engine, and tuned the entire thing to go drifting. We like it. Called Urchfab, it's the subject of Carfection's (the blokes formerly known as XCar) latest video. Aside from looking like an extra from the British version of Mad Max, it has a problem with grip, in that there's just too much of it. This car is a fabber's dream, as we get to see its unnamed owner fashion new bits and bobs for the suspension before having an unfortunate encounter with a wall at Castle Combe. You can check out the full video up at the top of the page for a closer look at this monstrous Anglia. Related Video:
A hybrid and electric Corvette, plus we drive the Ioniq 5 | Autoblog Podcast #728
Fri, May 6 2022In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Road Test Editor Zac Palmer. Zac drove the electric 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Greg drove the fire-breathing 2022 Maserati Levante Trofeo. The two dive deep into the relatively heavy news week by starting off with a discussion about the upcoming hybrid Corvette before chatting about what the electric Corvette might be like. They have a chat about the possibility of Porsche and Audi officially joining the Formula 1 field. Then, Greg and Zac get into some quick-hitting news to round out the segment by dissecting the updated Kia Soul (now without a turbo), the 30th Anniversary Edition Land Rover Defender and the new CEO at Aston Martin. Following the news and drive reviews, they rope in Senior Editor, Green John Beltz Snyder to give them a quick download of what went down at the first drive for the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning. Finally, they reach into the mailbag and answer some questions from someone who is less than pleased about infotainment systems in some new cars. And lastly, the gang hears back from someone they helped out in a prior Spend My Money segment on the podcast. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. How Ford made its 2015 Ford Mustang safer for toupee wearers [w/video]
Fri, 28 Feb 2014Ford is ready to tell the story of its 2015 Mustang Convertible, the can't-miss bits being the easier, quicker and quieter roof operation, a more robust roof build for a coupe-like cabin noise, more trunk space, better visibility and reduced in-cabin buffeting. The top release system has been completely redesigned with a single, center-mounted latch on the windshield frame instead of the dual latches of before. The driver can now release the roof without having to lean over into the passenger space, after which the top goes down fully automatically with the press of a button. Ford doesn't say how long it takes to stow, but it's apparently done in half as much time as before, so figure around 8 seconds.
The roof uses a five-bow structure, with the fabric outer and full inner headliner sandwiching ten millimeters of insulation. Detailing work on the top has eliminated "unsightly folds" in the corners when the roof is up and made it more compact when down; its Z-fold assembly is 6.7 inches lower than before at its highest point when put down. Ford says the new electric drive internals make less noise when in operation, and the fully-finished droptop look is achieved with snap-in caps that flank the rear seating and stow in the trunk when not in use (the outgoing Mustang's top was higher and the front when folded and always looked like it was catching air and creating drag).
The compact roof and newly independent rear suspension setup in back means liberated trunk space, 11.4 cubic feet ready to swallow golf bags and tourist swag. You can read a lot more about it in the press release below, check it out in the short video of running footage and learn about the aerodynamic improvements made to the entire Mustang lineup that decrease drag and increase fuel economy.
