This truck and camper are in excellent condition with many upgrades.
Truck information: 7.3 turbo diesel; 85,900 miles; Ford replaced transmission at 60k; KN filter; 2 new batteries; HD shocks all around; air bags; 6 new tires (<3k miles) tuned exhaust; GPS system with laptop and table; extended trailer hitch; both interior and exterior are in excellent condition - no dents, paint is shinny - interior is perfect; Superchips included.
Camper: 2001 Lance 1181 11'6" with slide; fully equipment except for onboard generator but it is wired; new camper battery; winterized; small tv. This has been my rig for over 10 years but we recently bought a condo in the south and will not be using this outfit. I have many other pictures but I am having a difficult time loading them. Ford wins second consecutive Engine of the Year with 1.0L EcoBoost [UPDATE]
Wed, 05 Jun 2013For the second year in a row, Ford has taken top honors in International Engine of the Year voting. As was the case last year, it is Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine that earns the automaker the accolade, achieving the highest-ever accumulated score in the 15 years that the award has been handed out.
A panel of 87 automotive journalists from 35 countries are responsible for choosing the world's best engines, and this is only the third time an automaker has managed back-to-back victories. Voters were impressed by the "Baby EcoBoost" engine's power output - 123 horsepower between 1,400 and 4,500 rpm, 148 pound-feet of torque from 1,400 to 4,000 rpm - and its compact size; Ford has demonstrated that the package is small enough to fit in the overhead bin of a passenger airplane.
Currently, the 1.0-liter EcoBoost is offered in the European Fiesta, B-MAX, Focus, C-MAX and Grand C-MAX, and Ford plans to put the engine in the Transit Connect, Transit Courier, Tourneo Connect, Tourneo Courier, Mondeo and EcoSport in short order. In North America, the Fiesta will be the first vehicle to offer the 1.0L EcoBoost later this year.
FBI investigating recently fired Ford engineer for espionage
Fri, 25 Jul 2014Agents of the FBI are investigating a potential case of industrial espionage involving a recently fired Ford employee. The Dearborn, MI-based manufacturer had its world headquarters searched by FBI agents on July 11, and according to The Detroit News, had warrants to seize recording devices handed over to Ford by Sharon Leach, a now-former Ford engineer.
Leach, who had spent 17 years with the Blue Oval, was fired last month, after Ford Security relieved her of eight Sansa listening devices. The FBI got involved shortly after her dismissal, searching her home on June 20 and seizing some two dozen items, including computers, jump drives and financial records, according to warrants obtained by The News.
Ford has remained quiet on the matter, with spokeswoman Susan Krusel confirming that the automaker was working with the FBI as part of a "joint investigation," while declining to provide any additional details.
