OKAY...
This is a privately owned, one owner local truck that was used to travel across the United States for sail yacht racing the first 5 years. After that it had a shell on and was used for the owners design firm. I purchased this truck in march with the intention of using it for pulling a 4 car hauler. I learned that I needed a heavier duty truck like an F-450 or F-550 to carry the weight the trailer was designed to pull. This truck was never used for that. Instead, I kept it for personal use and drove it on occasion. The reason for CarFax and AutoCheck stating 2 owners is due to me titling it in my company's name after I lost the original title. I would still consider it to be a true one owner vehicle.
Maintenance: Don't let the mileage scare you, this truck has always been religiously dealership serviced with NO expense spared when it came to recommended servicing. A driven diesel is a good thing... The CarFax shows a consistent service history since new and this truck runs, drives, shifts, as new. That is a bold statement to make, but this truck runs that good. It has absolutely NO KNOWN issues, and it is a very tight driving truck. I have been averaging 19.8MPG and if driven at 62mph, (unloaded), you can get close to 21MPG on the highway. It has a 100gallon external tank in the bed which you can switch to, or pump the fuel into the trucks tank. It has a very heavy duty gooseneck ball, that can be set flush, and I had a brand new Dexter trailer brake installed (never used). This truck has 100% all original paint that is in great condition for the age and mileage. There is a spot on the hood that has peeled off (see pic), and a small section peeling on the rain gutters on the roof of the cab (see pic). There is also a few dents around the body (see pic). There is NO rust, and the engine bay, drivetrain, rear end and completely bone dry of any leaks of any kind. The Michelin tires are all excellent and evenly worn. This truck drives perfectly straight with NO steering issues. The interior is very clean and nice, it has never been smoked in. There is some issues with the leather on the bottom of the front seats. The leather has cracked, but the foam and support are still excellent. what I was going to do was purchase eBay item #321123744767 and have these installed, after that the interior would be excellent. The dash, door panels, headliner and carpet are all in excellent condition. Everything is working well, including ice cold A/C.
This is a GREAT unmolested 7.3 lariat that will give many, many more miles and years to the new owner.
Message for CarFax, AutoCheck, Service History, and more pics.
YOU WILL NOT BE DISSIPOINTED!!

2017 Ford Super Duty trucks recalled because the fuel tank could fall off
Wed, Dec 21 2016Bad news from Dearborn. Ford just announced a pair of recalls, including a particularly worrying flaw in the new F-Series Super Duty. According to Ford's official announcement, there are roughly 8,000 of its big trucks on the roads with a missing reinforcement bracket – if it's not there, the fuel tank could separate from the frame. Yes, Ford is basically saying the fuel tank could fall out. We don't need to explain why this would be a very bad thing. Fortunately, no owners have experienced said bad things – Ford claims it's unaware of any fires, injuries, or accidents resulting from the flaws. The Kentucky Truck Plant built the affected pickups between August 10 and September 17. The bulk of the vehicles are in the US – 7,103, to be precise. Another 964 are cruising around the frozen Canadian tundra, while two more are in "federalized territories." The other recall is smaller, but reaches across a broad swath of the Blue Oval's family vehicles. Ford says there are 1,352 Taurus sedans, Flex crossovers, Explorer SUVs – including the Police Interceptor Utility variant – and Lincoln MKTs equipped with the company's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that could catch fire. In this case, the danger isn't a detached fuel tank, but an "improperly brazed turbocharger oil supply tube" that could leak and spill engine oil on the turbocharger. Again, Ford isn't aware of any fires, accidents, or injuries due to the flaw. Here's the breakdown of manufacturer dates and location: 2016 Ford Taurus vehicles built at Chicago Assembly Plant, Oct. 18, 2016 to Nov. 2, 2016 2016-17 Ford Flex vehicles built at Oakville Assembly Plant, Oct. 18, 2016 to Nov. 10, 2016 2017 Ford Explorer vehicles built at Chicago Assembly Plant, Oct. 15, 2016 to Nov. 12, 2016 2017 Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicles built at Chicago Assembly Plant on Nov. 2, 2016 2016-17 Lincoln MKT vehicles built at Oakville Assembly Plant, Oct. 18, 2016 to Nov. 10, 2016 As with the Super Duty recall, most of the affected cars, crossovers, and SUVs are in the US market. There are 126 units in Canada and six in the same "federalized territories" mentioned above. In the case of both recalls, dealers will inspect the affected parts and replace or add them as necessary. SEMA crowns Mustang, FR-S as this year's hottest cars in the building
Wed, 31 Oct 2012After wrapping up the first day of the 2012 SEMA Show, organizers handed out awards for some of the trendiest vehicles on display. Since the whole point of SEMA is to show off new products available in the aftermarket world for use in cars, trucks and SUVs, each year, the show distinguishes the most popular vehicle in various segments. Not surprisingly, this year's Hottest Car and Hottest Sport Compact are the Ford Mustang and Scion FR-S, respectively, while the Ford F-Series brought home the Hottest Truck and the Jeep Wrangler was named the Hottest 4x4-SUV.
More than 2,000 companies are at this year's show, and the display booths represents a "vote" for each car to determing the trendiest vehicles in each of the four categories. It isn't clear if these awards also take cars brought by OEMs into account, but the Mustang and FR-S were definitely well represented by both OEM and aftermarket show versions.
As usual, the OEMs showed up in force at the this year's SEMA Show exhibiting a variety of cars ranging from production-intent cars like the beastly Ford Mustang Cobra Jet to much flashier rides like Scion's Carbon Stealth FR-S.
New Ford Police Interceptor tech protects cops' backsides
Mon, 22 Jul 2013It was only a matter of time before law enforcement agencies would realize the potential of driver-assist technology for use in their Ford Police Interceptors, and, now that they have, those back-up cameras and radar systems won't be used just for parking, but for security, as well.
The surveillance mode system works when the camera or radar detects movement from behind the vehicle, and if it does when it's activated, an alarm will alert the officer inside the car, the driver's side window will roll up and the doors will lock, protecting the officer from an unwanted intrusion. The officer, of course, has the option to turn surveillance mode off, mainly in urban areas where pedestrians would constantly set the alarm off, and it can only be activated when the police car is in park.
Randy Freiburger, Ford's police and ambulance fleet supervisor, came up with the patent-pending idea when researching the needs of police officers and riding along with them, during which time he realized officers would be safer with an extra set of eyes watching the area behind their cars, especially at night or when they're completing paperwork, using the in-car computer or handling a radar gun. "Unfortunately, there are people with bad intentions who sneak up on police officers," he says.
