Up for bids is a very clean, very well maintained 1999 Super Duty F350 4X4 Crew Cab Lariat 7.3L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel. It has 276,972 miles on it. The first 200, 000 miles were stacked up by my father travelling between Florida and Colorado. It was never worked very hard and ran bob tail most of the time. The last 76,972 miles were racked up by me pulling a twelve foot enclosed trailer, full of my drywall tools, back and forth to work. This truck has never been in any accidents or collisions. All body parts and paint are completely original. There is a slight dent in the driver side rear bumper (look closely in pic), other than that, there are a few very tiny scratches and chips in the paint; it is a fourteen year old truck!
This truck has a Superchip Flashpaq Tuner, AFE cold air induction box, and Magna Flow muffler. Performance modifications were done to improve fuel mileage, not to hot rod :)
The motor is extremely tight, crisp, snappy, and responsive! VERY POWERFUL. . . There is little to no play in steering wheel, truck drives straight down the road and wears tires well. The tires on the truck now have about 50,000 miles on them. They're getting thin, but still have miles left.
The transmission shifts just as it should.
I have just installed new front Federal wheel bearings; they're the good ones with a three year warranty that will be passed on to the new owner.
The starter and alternator were rebuilt a year or so ago by a local auto-electric shop.
Batteries are give or take on a year and a half old.
The front seats have been recovered in vinyl to match original look.
The only thing I know to be wrong with this truck is a cracked windshield, which will be replaced Monday morning!
THIS IS NOT A BEATER!!! THIS IS GRANDPA'S TRUCK!!!!
This truck is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition, with many miles left to go. I'm sure I don't have to tell you how great the 7.3L motor is, or the durability of this era of truck. If you do have any questions at all, please ask! I will answer as quickly and to the best of my knowledge as possible.
SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY If you have less than 10 feedback, please contact me before bidding, or bids will be cancelled (Just to know you're serious!).
Cash would be best, but will accept a cashiers check or USPS money order.

Porsche 911 tops a list of must-have classics, but No. 2 is more of a surprise
Wed, Aug 9 2023No surprise here: In Europe, the Porsche 911 is the most sought-after classic car. Surprise here: Slip-streaming the 911 in the most sought-after chart compiled by the Car & Classic marketplace is the Ford Mustang. Using the Google search engine as a means to pick the winners, as well as the average prices achieved on the “Car and Classic” website, the venerable 911 was tagged 1.45 million times per month according to data stretching back 15 years. The number of 911Â’s sold though the C&C marketplace was 21,141, at an average price of 58,409 pounds, or $74,300. FordÂ’s pony car, still a popular choice for buyers in Europe, placed second on the list with 1.2 million monthly searches. The average sales price over 15 years was 31,107 pounds ($39,570), and the number of older Mustangs sold reached a total of 8,332. Models that also finished among the charted top 10 include the Land Rover Range Rover, the Corvette, the ultra-classic British favorite Jaguar E-Type and the BMW 3 Series. “Whilst a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS could set you back the best part of GBP500,000 ($636,000), there are many more affordable models, which bring the average sale price of a 911 on Car & Classic to GBP58,000 ($73,800) – the third highest average selling price of any make and model on the site,” explained Dale Vinten of Car & Classic. According to the site, the Jaguar fetched the highest average selling price: a whopping 89,000 pounds, or $113,000. But thatÂ’s peanuts compared to a Series 1 Roadster in excellent condition, said Vinten. For that, “you can expect to spend up to GBP250,000 ($318,000), A Series 2 or 3 will cost less, as they are not as desirable, but in decent condition you can expect to pay around GBP40,000-GBP50,000. Even a barn find 1969 E-Type Series 2 Roadster can set you back to the tune of GBP33,000 ($42,000)." Launched in 2005, Car & Classic is among EuropeÂ’s most popular classic car clearinghouses. It also runs a stand-alone auction site.
European car sales up 8% in February
Sat, 22 Mar 2014Three weeks ago an analyst increased projections for European car sales this year, expecting them to climb three percent compared to last year instead of 2.7 percent. That number is a postive sign after years of hard times but it turns out February was especially good, overall European sales climbing eight percent on a wave of southern European recovery and discounts - and this comes after five months of gains including January's 7.2-percent jump over the year before.
The only country of Europe's five largest markets to post a decline was France, just as it did in January, Germany, the UK and Italy posting solid double-digit numbers, Spain rocking the charts with an 18-percent increase because of a government program to encourage trade-ins.
The only brand to miss the wave was Volkswagen, dropping 0.8 percent as it watched the double-digit growth at sister brands Audi, Seat and Skoda lift the Volkswagen Group sales up by seven-percent. Peugeot overcame flat sales at Citroën to improve the group by 3.5 percent, BMW and the Mercedes-Benz/Smart combo rose by four percent, the Fiat group jumped 5.8 percent, Ford was up 11 percent, the Renault Group 11.5 percent, General Motors 12 percent and the Toyota clan by 14 percent.
Ford fights back against patent trolls
Fri, Feb 13 2015Some people are just awful. Some organizations are just as awful. And when those people join those organizations, we get stories like this one, where Ford has spent the past several years combatting so-called patent trolls. According to Automotive News, these malicious organizations have filed over a dozen lawsuits against the company since 2012. They work by purchasing patents, only to later accuse companies of misusing intellectual property, despite the fact that the so-called patent assertion companies never actually, you know, do anything with said intellectual property. AN reports that both Hyundai and Toyota have been victimized by these companies, with the former forced to pay $11.5 million to a company called Clear With Computers. Toyota, meanwhile, settled with Paice LLC, over its hybrid tech. The world's largest automaker agreed to pay $5 million, on top of $98 for every hybrid it sold (if the terms of the deal included each of the roughly 1.5 million hybrids Toyota sold since 2000, the company would have owed $147 million). Including the previous couple of examples, AN reports 107 suits were filed against automakers last year alone. But Ford is taking action to prevent further troubles... kind of. The company has signed on with a firm called RPX, in what sounds strangely like a protection racket. Automakers like Ford pay RPX around $1.5 million each year for access to its catalog of patents, which it spent nearly $1 billion building. "We take the protection and licensing of patented innovations very seriously," Ford told AN via email. "And as many smart businesses are doing, we are taking proactive steps to protect against those seeking patent infringement litigation." What are your thoughts on this? Should this patent business be better managed? Is it reasonable that companies purchase patents only to file suit against the companies that build actual products? Have your say in Comments.
