1999 ford f-350 4wd 230,000 miles i have recently had the transmission and transfer case rebuilt, and it has a new clutch installed. I just put a new wheel bearing and brake caliper on the front
left side of truck. The interior is in good shape and is power everything however the power locks have not worked since I owned the truck. I bought the truck in 2006 when it had 116,000
miles on it, and it has been a great truck and has never left me sitting along side the road. When you first start the truck it does smoke a little but when it warms up it does not smoke
what the truck needs:
the tires on this truck due to be changed
there is a crack in the windshield on the passenger side
as you can see in the pictures there are some rust issues on the truck all are fixable and frame is in great shape
there is a bearing in the steering wheel that needs to be replaced not hard i just replaced it in my dads truck
the automatic door locks dont work but i never used them
Add ons to the truck:
I put a 2 in leveling kit on the front of the truck
I put a 4 inch exhaust on the truck from the turbo back, sounds nice
truck had a power chip in it I have it in my new truck right now if truck sells for enough I would consider sending it with the truck
I also put a goose neck hitch in the truck
I am also sending a set of 16x10 mickey thompson classic locks with the truck they need to be cleaned up
I have had my new truck for over a year and have been procrastinating selling this one. it will make someone a great truck

Mustang Cobra Jet prototype garners $200k for charity at Barrett-Jackson
Wed, 02 Oct 2013A few weeks ago we brought you news of a one-off Mustang Cobra Jet that Ford was donating to charity. The car was set to be auctioned off by Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Now that auction has taken place, bringing in an impressive $200,000 for MS research.
That's a lot of zeros for a Mustang, much less one you can't even drive on the street. But the unique pony car, bearing serial number 2014 BJMS CJXX1, packs a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, competition gearbox, wheelie bar, roll cage... all you could want, in short, in a turn-key drag racer. And all that for a good cause.
70% of pickups could use aluminum by 2025
Wed, 11 Jun 2014In the next decade, the auto industry will see an explosion in its use of aluminum to cut weight and increase fuel economy, according to a study from market analysts Ducker Worldwide cited by The Detroit News. We are already seeing the lightweight metal show up extensively in luxury models from Europe, but with the impending launch of aluminum-intensive 2015 Ford F-150 (pictured above), North America is using it even more, as well. The report predicts 70 percent of US pickups to have aluminum bodies by 2025.
It won't just be pickups that see the benefit, though. The average amount of aluminum in US vehicles is forecasted by the study to grow from an average of 350 pounds in 2013 to about 550 pounds by 2025. The most common parts to use it will be hoods, doors and - to some extent - roofs, as well.
The massive increase in pickups' aluminum content hardly seems surprising. The F-150 is predicted to use so much that it might cause a short-term shortage, according to one earlier report. At the same time General Motors is heavily rumored to be negotiating with suppliers for the next generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. Ram is the last holdout of the Big Three, but the study predicts that not to last.
Ford recalls 434k vehicles for several unrelated issues
Mon, 07 Apr 2014It seems that the hard winter in much of the country has been as rough on some Fords as it has on many people. The Blue Oval is recalling roughly 434,000 vehicles in two separate recalls, and one of them partially caused by the salt used to melt the snow on roads.
The first recall covers 385,750 2001-2004 Escape models in the Midwest, Northeast and Canada because a subframe could rust and eventually fail. This is partially due to the road salt used in those areas, and about 349,000 of the affected vehicles are in the US. To remedy the problem, dealers are installing a reinforcement cross brace on the frame to strengthen them. There has been one crash caused by the failure but no injuries. According to The Detroit News, this is not the first rust-related recall for Ford. It estimates the company has repaired over two million vehicles since 2010 for problems on vehicles related to the iron oxide, including the rear wheel wells of the Freestar minivan.
The second recall covers 48,950 2013-2014 Ford Fusion, Escape, C-MAX and Lincoln MKZ models because welds in their seatbacks don't meet National Highway Traffic Safety Administration standards. The fault affects the front seats, and the sub-standard welds joining the setback to the recliner could increase the chance on injury. There have been no reported injuries or accidents caused by the problem, but there are 42,972 affected vehicles in the US and 4,744 in Canada.
