WE GOT THIS TRUCK ON TRADE A COUPLE MONTHS BACK AND NOW READY TO SELL.  WE HAVE BEEN USING IT ABOUT 2-3 TIMES PER WEEK TO PULL OUR CAR HAULER.  THIS TRUCK DOES HAVE BLOWBY.  IT SMOKES OUT OF THE TAILPIPE WHEN AT IDOL AND OUT OF THE OIL CAP WHEN OPENED.

TRUCK DRIVES GREAT AND SHIFTS GREAT WITH NO PROBLEMS AND STILL PULLS MY TRAILER WITH NO PROBLEMS.  IVE HAD MANY 7.3L DIESELS AND THIS TRUCK HAS SAME POWER AS ANY IVE HAD.  INTERIOR IS IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE FOR THE AGE.

AIR IS ICE COLD.  TRUCK HAS THE 4 DOORS THAT OPEN BUT THE BACK PASSENGER SIDE DOOR HAS ONLY OPENED TWICE FOR ME SINCE IVE HAD IT.  BODY IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE BUT HAS THE ONE CRACK THAT IS PICTURED AND NOT VERY LONG OR NOTICEABLE. POWER WINDOWS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE BUT THE POWER LOCKS ARE NOT ENGAGING.  IF I HAVENT USED IT IN A WEEK OR SO I USUALLY LET THE PLUGS WARM TWICE BEFORE TURNING OVER TO CRANK, BUT TRUCK CRANKS EVERYTIME AND HAVE NEVER HAD TO PLUG IT IN.

TRUCK IS READY FOR WORK OR PULLING YOUR BOAT OR TRAILER.  IF YOU DONT LIKE THE SMOKE FROM THE TRUCK THEN DONT BID PLEASE.  TRUCK IS READY TO GO AND YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED IN HOW IT DRIVES OR PULLS.

2015 Ford Focus

Tue, 14 Oct 2014

Sitting down at the pre-drive briefing with Ford engineers ahead of sampling the refreshed 2015 Focus, water bottles clinked as we wet our whistles before Q&A. While pouring a glass, we noticed something stamped on the bottle label: "1L." One liter. We were palming the exact displacement of the EcoBoost engine our group was about to drive. This was undoubtedly coincidence (such bottles litter every conference and dinner table in Europe) but it served to drive home just how small the total swept volume of Ford's wunderkind powerplant really is. It's tiny.
Of course, this isn't our first run-in with the little triple - we've sampled its turbocharged charms before in Ford's smaller Fiesta. At that time, we found it had plenty of poke for the subcompact, but the larger C-segment Focus carries around another 450 pounds or so and pushes a wider profile through the air. Would the three-cylinder have the stuffing to make the most of the Focus' athletic chassis, or would it be a letdown? Would it be the same as it was when we tested it in a Euro-spec Focus a couple of years ago? There was nothing left for it but to head out on the bucolic roads surrounding Versailles the day after the Paris Motor Show and find out for ourselves.

2016 Ford Focus RS mule spotted on US soil

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

Okay Ford, this is what we like to see. One of our intrepid spy photographers has captured a vehicle that we weren't even sure would see the light of day - the next Focus RS. While this is pretty clearly a mule based on the current Focus ST, as our spy points out, there are a number of giveaways about this hot hatch's true nature.
Indication number one that all is not right with this Focus is the heavily camo'd front fascia, which has been completely reconfigured for duty on the RS. It boasts significantly larger grilles that are meant to accommodate what is likely the 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder that's destined for the 2015 Ford Mustang. Considering that, then, we can expect around 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque from the hottest of Foci, although it's entirely possible that the production model could climb even higher, to around 330 hp.
The front fascia tweaks are complemented in the back by a modified rear bumper, which fails at hiding a pair of exhaust tips quite unlike the standard Focus ST's center-exit exhaust. Other obvious changes include the wheel/tire/brake package on this particular car. Larger 19-inch wheels are shod in super-sticky Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in 235/35/19 while the brakes feature what we think are four-piston calipers, possibly from Brembo, up front.

Ford recalling nearly 24,000 Focus EV and C-Max models over door chime

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

Ford will be voluntarily recalling 23,830 Focus Electric and C-Max Hybrid and Energi models equipped with push-button ignition, according to The Detroit News. Why? Because the cars don't make a noise when the driver's door is open, and are therefore in violation of federal regulations. It's not as silly as Honda's badging recall that isn't a recall, but it's close.
Actually, that's not exactly fair. The chime is supposed to come on when the driver's door is open, as it reminds drivers not to leave their cars on or leave key fobs in the car, an easy thing to forget when the cars in question make virtually no noise at idle and do not require keys in ignitions.
The recall, which Ford is conducting voluntarily, covers 2012 and 2013 Focus Electric hatchbacks and 2013 C-Max Hybrid and Energi models. The overwhelming majority, around 22,900 units, were sold in the US, while the remaining 900 units are in Canada. How many of each model are covered in the recall is not immediately clear.
