1999 Ford F-350 4x4 crew cab long bed powerstroke diesel automatic transmission, 127,000 miles, power windows and locks, drivers side power seat, cd player, cruise control, ac, rear sliding window, brake controller, manual shift 4wd and locking hubs, weathertech floormats. Truck was purchased brand new in North Carolina and spent the majority of it's life there. I've owned the truck for a little over two years and has only seen one partial Ohio winter so the only rust on the truck is minor surface rust on frame rails and suspension components but absolutely no rot or holes like other trucks around here. With the exception of a 4" turbo back exhaust the truck is stock, and has never had a chip or programmer to my knowledge. The dealership where i bought the truck from (in N.C.) told me it was owned by an older gentleman that pulled his fifth wheel camper with, so the bed has multiple holes from a fifth wheel hitch. I assume it was smoked in because there are burn holes in both front and rear seats. Has bed liner and bed mat as well. Brakes are about 50%. The only modifications that i have done to it are tinted windows, upgraded headlights with the 03' style ( I think they look so much better), 2" leveling kit, and bigger tires- (285/75/16) which are at 50-60%, it had full length diamond plate running boards on it when i got it but I put o.e. style ones back on. Last week I installed a new steering damper, sway bar links, left and right inner tie rod ends and adjusting sleeve so truck will need an alignment soon. In the spring of 2012 I replaced upper and lower ball joints with Moog ball joints, Moog driver and passenger side hub bearing assemblies and outer axle seals. I did not replace the inner axle seals at the time, they appeared to be in good condition and did not leak but I do have the seals still new in box that will be included in the sale. I also have axle joints ( those were in good shape too so I didn't bother with them), and the tool to seat the seal on to the axle shaft. Installed 8 Motorcraft glow plugs and Napa glow plug relay, so truck always started really good in the cold. Serviced every 5,000 miles with Rotella oil and fuel filter every other oil change. There are some flaws in the truck such as a cracked winshield, paint chips on the rocker panels, and the worst spot is at the corner of the rear drivers side wndow- seems to be a common spot on these trucks that I have noticed. Two dents on the front bumper that are so small i couldn't even get them to show up on my camera. Please keep in mind that this is a 14 year old truck and it is not perfect but overall it's in great condition for the year. Toolbox and headache rack not included. I do have a lien on the truck, so once payment is recieved I will send away for the title and transfer to new owner. I will assist you in any way possible and do what I can to make a hassle free transaction.

2015 Ford Transit
Wed, 11 Jun 2014As a segment, fullsize vans are stealth-fighter invisible on most consumers' radar. Visit a dealership for any of the four brands that offer them and you'll be lucky to find even one on display. These are commercial vehicles primarily, even more so than pickup trucks. Vans are the shuttles for plumbers, caterers, carpenters, concrete layers, masons, electricians, florists and flooring, and a huge part of this country's productivity is accomplished using them. At the moment, Ford is the 800-pound gorilla in that room - fully 41 percent of commercial vehicles wear a Blue Oval. So when Ford announced three years ago it would be ditching its commercial bread-and-butter E-Series, it meant the Transit that would be replacing the Econoline had huge, 53-year-old shoes to fill.
We were still a bit nostalgic about Econoline vans going away until going directly from the Transit first drive in Kansas City to an E-350 airport shuttle. Climb up through the Econoline's tiny double doors and bang your head on the opening, crouch all the way to your seat then enjoy a loud, rattle-prone, creaky, harsh ride on beam-hard seats while struggling to see out the low windows. This is an experience nearly every traveler has had. By comparison, the Transits we'd just spent two days with were every bit of the four decades better they needed to be. It cannot be understated just how much better the Transit is in every single way. The load floor is barely more than knee high. There's a huge side door, and hitting your head on a door opening is nearly impossible. Stand up all the way if you're under six-foot, six-inches - no more half-hunching down the aisle. There are windows actually designed to be looked out of. The ride is buttery smooth, no booming vibration from un-restrained metal panels and no squeaks. Conversations can be held at normal levels rather than yelling over the roar of an ancient V8. The seats are comfortable. The AC is cold. There are cupholders.
Enough anecdote-laying, what's in a Transit? We're talking about a very fullsized unibody van that's enjoyed a 49-year history in Ye Olde Europe. This latest iteration is part of the "One Ford" initiative, so it was designed as a global offering from the get-go, eschewing the body-on-frame construction the E-Series has used since 1975. Instead, the Transit integrates a rigid ladder frame into an overall frame construction made of high-strength cold-rolled and boron steel. The suspension is a simple but well-tuned Macpherson strut array up front with a rear solid axle and leaf springs.
Meet the Greenest and Meanest vehicles of 2016
Wed, Jan 27 2016If you've been keeping track, you won't be surprised with the number one entry in this year's list of greenest cars from the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE). In fact, the top three spots on the 2016 list are all the same as they were in 2015. After that, things get interesting. For one thing, this is the first Greenest list that doesn't have any purely internal combustion engine powertrain on it. Hybrids, yes, but if you want to be one of the top 12 greenest cars this year, you'd better have some sort of electric angle. ACEEE says that the conventional, gas-powered Smart Fortwo and Chevrolet Spark just missed the cut. In a statement, ACEEE lead vehicle analyst Shruti Vaidyanathan said, "The 2016 scores are in, and plug-in electric vehicles are outpacing all other vehicle offerings in terms of environmental friendliness." Like last year, one of the noticeable vehicles missing from the green list is the Tesla Model S. One reason? ACEEE takes curb weight into account (lighter is better), and the Model S is a heavy beast. The ACEEE doesn't just look at the clean side of the ledger. It also puts out a "meanest" list. These are the vehicles that pollute the most, not only from their tailpipes, but also any pollution created during the entire manufacturing process, from mining the raw materials to the energy used to produce the vehicle at the factory. The entire list, from greenest to meanest, is done using a "cradle to grave" analysis. You can see how the ACEEE determines its rankings here, explore the entire greenest cars site here, or click through our galleries to see which vehicles are extra green (above) or extra mean (below) this year. 12: Mercedes-Benz GL550 4MATIC View 12 Photos More Electric Cars than Ever on Greenest Vehicles List Electric Vehicles Nab 9 out of Top 12 Spots in ACEEE's Environmental Vehicle Rankings Washington, DC: Despite a tumultuous year for the automotive industry, manufacturers have continued to offer exciting technology options for a growing vehicle market. Today at greenercars.org, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) released its 19th annual comprehensive environmental ratings for vehicles. The following vehicles comprise the Greenest List for 2016: Greenest Score 1. Mercedes-Benz Smart ForTwo Electric Drive Convertible / Coupe 63 2. Chevrolet Spark EV 63 3. Fiat 500E 62 4. Ford Recalls '13 Escape For 11th Time
Fri, Aug 15 2014Only in dealer showrooms for two years now, the 2013 Ford Escape has already been recalled for safety hazards 11 times. The most recent recall for the beleaguered vehicle came Friday, when the company announced it was recalling almost 160,000 Escapes and Focus ST hatchbacks from the '13 and '14 model years because of a wiring problem that could cause the engine to stall. Caused by a faulty wiring harness, Ford said the defect could result in reduced power, hesitation or outright stalling. The company said it knew of no crashes or injuries caused by the flaw. Customers affected will be notified by mail. It was the latest problem for a vehicle beset by recalls from the moment it started rolling off the assembly lines. Starting on July 6, 2012, the '13 Escapes have been recalled for an assortment of problems, including multiple hazards with fuel lines that could result in engine fires, fluid leaks in the engine that could also result in fires, problems with engines overheating, delays in airbags deploying and more.
