Up for auction, a 1997 Ford 7.3 Powerstoke Turbo Diesel  4x4 flatbed with a 5 speed manual transmission and only 125,000 original miles.  Runs and drives great.

Good - Low miles, new tires and simulators, cold A/C, new bed paint, good toolbox, seat is near perfect, Gooseneck and reece hitches, new fuel pump, all gauges work.  Paint is a 7 out of 10 and interior is 7 out of 10.  Runs and drives great and has no modifications to my knowledge.

Bad - Dash cracks, transmission scrapes into 3rd if you go too fast, factory radio works but takes spells sometimes.

Overall a good truck and will last someone a very long time, there aren't many more of these around with this low of miles.

Truck is for sale locally and may be removed at anytime, feel free to call and make an offer and I'll remove the listing, my number is 828-778-2736 and my name is Dennis.

I have tried to describe the truck the best I can and if you have questions about it please call me.  No emails or messages please.

Ford unveils Mustang 50th anniversary logo, plans merchandise

Tue, 26 Mar 2013

The Ford Mustang turns 50 years old this year, and this is the logo that will announce the milestone occasion on a special line of merchandise. The graphic is the result of an internal design competition, and Ford will give 50 different companies the license to use it on traditional logo merchandise like shirts and watches, along with some untraditional items like pinball machines.
Ford is going to begin the celebrations at this week's New York Auto Show and continue them throughout the year, but April 17 is the official birthday of the the pony car that just won't quit. You can expect to start seeing anniversary merchandise in the next couple of weeks.

Chris Harris checks out Ken Block's Hoonicorn '65 Mustang

Thu, Dec 4 2014

Ken Block's Hoonicorn, which stars in Gymkhana Seven, might still bear a passing resemblance to a vintage 1965 Ford Mustang, but underneath the skin, the car is one of the baddest custom machines to ever do a smoky burnout on the road. The ever enthusiastic British auto journalist Chris Harris is now showing what really makes Block's new ride tick on video, and Harris even gets to go for quite a ride. The only Mustang components really left on the Hoonicorn are the A-pillar, B-pillar and roof, according to Harris. Everything else is ditched to create Block's ultimate Gymkhana tool. The 845-horsepower, 6.7-liter Rousch Yates V8 sits behind the front axle, and the grunt is routed to all four wheels through a Sadev gearbox usually found on Dakar Rally vehicles. The whole drivetrain is packed with cool little touches; like that giant handbrake that also disconnects power from the front wheels when in use. The superlatives about the Hoonicorn could go on forever, but settle in and let a very excited Harris tell you about just some of them. He's like a kid in a candy store here, and the look that combines surprise, fear and joy during his ride with Block is the kind that lacks a suitable word in the English language.

Project Ugly Horse alive and kicking at Road & Track

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

The hallways of the Autoblog campus are much quieter now that Zach Bowman has taken his prose, along with his welders, wrenches and hammers, over to the digital pages of Road & Track, but that doesn't mean our favorite project Mustang is gone forever. Project Ugly Horse is still coming along, and Zach has gifted us another update on his unfoxy Fox Body.
Last we saw of the Ugly Horse, Zach was strengthening up the '89 Mustang's chassis as he prepares to stuff the turbocharged, direct-injected EcoBoost engine of a Ford Focus ST under the hood. First things first, the old mill must go. Head on over to Road & Track to catch the latest chapter of Project Ugly Horse.
