I have for sale my 1996 Ford F-350. Heres the details:
7.3L Powerstroke diesel
Automatic transmission
Eclipse Sport Package
4 newer tires on the back, could use 2 on the front
Since its an Eclipse, it has a custom paint scheme, moon visor, leather seats, REAL woodgrain, CB Radio, and even a fuzz buster
Drivers seat has a couple tears and passenger arm rest is missing. These seats are still extremely comfy!
Paint looks great for 200,000 miles! Very minimal rust, and NONE has broke through
Has some chrome bed rails. Does have some surface rust on the front suggesting its had a toolbox at one time
Has w-i-d-e towing mirrors. Theyre pretty loose. Iv tried tightening them without success
This was definitely NOT a work truck. The bed has little scratches and NO gooseneck
Truck runs, shifts, and drives great
Now for the bad. The previous owner failed to mention everything that was wrong with it before I made the 500 mile trip to get it. It leaks antifreeze out behind the water pump. I crawled under it and watched it drip. I do believe it just needs resealed and is not cracked or bad. The truck ran fine and didn't even think about overheating. The front fuel tank has a drip. A little time and some JB Weld would fix er up. The CB turns on and lights up but Iv never got reception on it. As mentioned earlier, the front seats arnt in the best shape.
KBB puts this beauty at right around $8500. You can send me an offer but Im already taking a loss at $7500 so please don't lowball me
A little money and a lot of time would have this truck back in its former glory. This was the cream of the crop back in its day! I would be happy to let anyone come and kick the tires before auctions end. I can deliver for a fee. Feel free to ask any and all questions! Im an honest guy and will be totally straight with ya, unlike the previous owner. Thanks for looking!

Ford C-Max Solar Energi takes a recharging station wherever it goes
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Companies ranging in size from small startups to major automakers have been experimenting with solar-powered charging stations for EVs and plug-in hybrids. And, of course, people have been powering vehicles with onboard solar panels for quite some time, too. Still, Ford's new C-Max Solar Energi Concept shows the promise of a truly practical implementation of solar on a production vehicle, and it may not be as far off in the future as we had thought.
As we reported a few days ago, the Solar concept makes use of a "concentrator lens" that focuses sunlight onto the Ford's roof-mounted solar panels. The special lens follows the rays of the sun to maximize the amount of charge being fed to the batteries of the car, taking about a day to fully charge the 21-mile, all-electric range of the C-Max Energi. Ford data suggests that combination might be enough to power 75 percent of all trips made by a statistically average driver. In turn, using the sun to power a vehicle could reduce yearly C02 emissions by up to four metric tons when compared with the driver of an average gasoline-powered sedan.
We've got live images of the C-Max Solar Energi Concept, jauntily tilted on its display to best present it's signature solar panels, straight from the CES floor.
Ford doubling 1.0L EcoBoost engine production
Fri, 06 Sep 2013Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine hasn't been around that long, but it sounds like the engine is getting to be fairly popular in the automaker's global car lineup. The Detroit News is reporting that Ford has add a second shift that will allow its German engine plant to double daily output from 500 engines to 1,000.
The increased capacity is part of a plan to sell more than 300,000 vehicles a year with this engine in Europe by 2015. Europe is currently the only market where the smallest of the EcoBoost engines is offered (including in the Focus pictured above), but US-spec Fiesta models will be getting this mill for 2014.
Three-cylinder engines are expected to continue to grow in popularity in coming years with the report indicating that global production of these engines will double by 2018 to 9.8 million units. General Motors, BMW and Mitsubishi are all expected to introduce three-cylinder engines in the near term, as well.
Next SVT Mustang may axe Shelby name, go naturally aspirated
Mon, 10 Jun 2013Following our first glimpse at the 2015 Ford Mustang out on the road, the fine folks at Road and Track have divulged some details on what the Blue Oval's next pony might have in store. We've already seen that the car will get some very sleek, Evos-inspired design cues, and an independent rear suspension is indeed in store. These new details, however, concern the muscle car's beating heart.
For starters, the base Ford coupe is expected to carry on with V6 power, likely from the same 3.7-liter unit found in today's car. From there, R&T says the next step up will be a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, likely displacing 2.3 liters, putting out as much as 350 horsepower. Of course, a Mustang wouldn't be a Mustang without V8 thrust, and R&T states that the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 will continue on into the 2015 car, making something like 450 horsepower.
But it's at the high end of the Mustang range where things will, reportedly, get very, very interesting. Road & Track claims that the top-shelf 'Stang will likely lose the supercharger from its engine, producing a metric crap-ton of naturally aspirated grunt instead. Additionally, the SVT-fettled Mustang will likely be dropping its Shelby moniker, in favor of "a name you're familiar with," according to the magazine (you know, like, Cobra).
