1996 Ford F-350 7.3L Diesel Custom "Coyote" Conversion package from Tiara Motorcoaches, 173K low miles, just about 10k/year since new!
2wd, auto, power windows, power locks, power rear sliding window, center console, TV video player, leather seats, built in radar detector in overhead console. Map lights and interior lighting throughout, coach lights on the exterior. Visor over windshirld, chrome grill brush guard, chrome rear step bumper, running boards, electric brake controller, Reese Universal hitch mount system in bed complete with 14K 5th wheel plate and 25k Gooseneck plate, plus 5k lb bumper and class 3 hitch on rear, set up to tow anything you can imagine, nice solid truck. No mechanical issues.
Truck always well maintained, in the last 6 months it has received new Michelin tires, wheel alignment, new ball joints, new front rotors, brakes, new custom exhaust and NAPA 6637 Air Filter mod. (factory air box comes with truck) No mechanical issues whatsoever. Can fly in, pick up, and drive anywhere.
For a vehicle of this age, it is in excellent condition, which isn't to say that there aren't a couple minor blemishes. The driver seat has separation at the seams and scratches on the seat back form my Dads suspenders. Seat is power and works fine in all directions, nothgin a seat cover cant fix but am disclosing everything in the interest of having a smooth transaction. There is a "ding" in the rear chrome bumper (see pics) another in the driver rear bed corner (see pics), a small narrow band on the passenger front fender flare where the clearcoat is thinning and beginning to let go (buff it out??) and a spot on the lower passenger rear fender flare where it scuffed against something in the past, needs touch-up paint, no damage to fiberglass fender flare.
Have owned the truck since it had 34K miles. Used it over the years to tow horses, boats, and cars. Truck has always run great and starts fine even on the coldest mornings. Don't need a truck this size any longer, gave it to my Dad who has decided the truck is just too big for him - he has now moved into a Toyota that would probably fit comfortably in the back of this truck ... LOL
Always had Mobil 1 Synthetic oil. Also has a "flying bridge" to match that I took off when I put the toolbox in the bed, the toolbox cannot open with the bridge on, will have to pull that out of the barn and post a pic separately

Ford patents a multi-touch version of its classic keypad
Fri, Sep 9 2016For decades, Ford has offered a keypad on the doors of their cars that would allow owners access with the right code. Amazingly, the keypad has survived almost unchanged except for a recent touch button version. A new patent from the Blue Oval shows the keypad may get a big upgrade soon. The first big change is that it looks like the keypad may move to the key fob. Although it might be possible to have it on the car itself as well, the patent only seems to focus on the key fob. In addition, the fob will now be a multi-touch pad similar to that of modern smartphones. This will allow for more diverse code entries, according to the patent's description. Instead of just a simple number code, owners could enter a code that involves swipes and keystrokes, and even simultaneous keystrokes. For instance, you could enter a code that requires swiping from 1 to 3, followed by holding 2 and 4 to unlock the car. The patent also seems to indicate that this keypad would then display unlock functions and other functions on the fob after the correct code is entered, thus making it more than just a way to unlock the car. As for the practical implications of this keypad system update, it could provide an added layer of security. If someone steals your keys, they would have to also know your access code to get into the car. Whether this would also help make the key and car harder to hack would remain to be seen, though. Another possible benefit could be the prevention of accidental lock and alarm button presses, although that likely isn't a common issue. There could be potential downsides as well. If used as an extra layer of security, the legitimate owner would have to punch in their code on the fob to get in, which would render proximity key benefits relatively useless. Moving the keypad to the fob would also mean owners couldn't get into their cars without having the key with them. We don't have any clues as to when this could become a feature, but it doesn't seem like it would be difficult to implement, so it could show up in the next few years. Ken Block and friends race light in silly-beautiful Castrol commercial
Wed, 28 May 2014How does one make fast, loud, drifting cars better? Well, you can add more fast, loud, drifting cars or you can add lasers. Either or, really. In this case, Castrol did the right thing and added both, creating a highly stylized commercial for its Edge Titanium motor oil starring South African racer Adrian Zaugg, BMW factory driver Augusto Farfus, Audi DTM and Le Mans staple Mike Rockenfeller and some bloke named Ken Block.
Their cars? No surprise, but Block is in his Ford Fiesta GRC, while Zaugg samples a Lamborghini Aventador and Farfus and Rockenfeller drive along party lines, with a BMW M4 and an Audi R8, respectively. And those cars look good, too, thanks to the creative light and laser work on display.
Take a look below for the video from Castrol.
Aussie Ford Falcon GT shows its rear end to Lamborghini Gallardo
Sun, 27 Apr 2014When Ford Australia announces, as it did recently, that it wants to celebrate the end of its Ford Performance Vehicle division with a Falcon FPV GT-F that celebrates big-bore origins of the nameplate, it's talking about the kind of car in this video.
At some point the classic Falcon GT - said to be an XY series - was invited to a test of acceleration against a Lamborghini Gallardo. At the very least, the Falcon GT had a 351 cubic-inch motor and 300 horsepower, but whatever this guy's got under the hood of his yellow sedan makes has him so confident that he doesn't even move his elbow from its resting place on the door.
You'll find a reminder of Ford Australia's heyday, a raucous exhaust note and some NSFW language in the short video below.
