1979 Ford F350 460 V8 Automatic. Truck is a Daily Driver, It has brand new Dunlop E Rated 265 Tires with aftermarket wheels. Starts, Stops, Runs and Drives Great. It is a 6 passenger, 4 Door Truck with 8 Foot Bed. Factory Ford Bed liner and aftermarket tool box. There is some rust at the front of the bed in the bulkhead area, and a little on the front drivers and passenger floor. The rust is not in any corners, it is on the flat area, there is a good chance that I will be able to get the floors repaired early next week before this auction ends. The rockers and other typical rust areas are in good shape. Clean Interior and center console. We have a new accelerator pump which we will replace this weekend. Tires are brand new and only have about 200 miles on them. The Odometer just turned 109,000. The trim on the right front fender needs 1 new clip to attach it properly. The truck also could use some exhaust work, I think a hanger broke and a new section of pipe needs to be installed. I will also try to get that replaced as well before the auction ends. Google's new Android Autos OS unveiled, will be in cars this year [w/video]
Wed, 25 Jun 2014Connected cars are coming en-masse. We know this much. How, though, remains something of an open question, especially as two of the world's largest tech companies are preparing to battle for control of your car's dashboard. On the one hand, we have Apple and its CarPlay system. And now, we know what Google has been working on with Auto Link.
Its new name is Android Auto, and yes, it's based off the Android architecture that is the primary challenger to Apple's iOS mobile operating system. Announced at Google's I/O conference today, Android Auto functions similarly to CarPlay - owners will need to plug their smartphones into their cars to access the full breadth of capability.
In Android Auto's case, that means a wealth of voice controls to limit distracted driving. Google's marquee apps will be available when the interface arrives in production models later this year, including Google Play Music, Google Maps and voice-activated texting and text playback. Meanwhile, developers will be able to begin designing custom apps for the new system via an upcoming software development kit.
2015 Ford Mustang to make world debut on Dec. 5 [w/video]
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Between a bevvy of spy shots, speculative renders and insidery images from the halls of Car and Driver, we've got a pretty decent idea of what the 2015 Ford Mustang might look like. Still, we're excited to see the real deal as soon as possible.
Turns out that Ford has told us just when that first official look might come, too, although it has chosen somewhat of a backdoor fashion for dropping the news.
The video below popped up on the Ford Mustang YouTube channel this morning, promoting a social media effort called #MustangInspires on. The video and hashtag ask fans of the pony car to share pictures of the car - or "photographic stories of inspiration" - on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. But the truly interesting part of the video description is that which mentions taking "the cover off the all-new Mustang" on December 5. Consider our calendars marked.

Tue, Jan 27 2015There were three shiny trophies handed out at the Washington Auto Show last week by Green Car Journal, and they went to three different examples of what "green" means in the automotive industry today. The Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel won the award for the 2015 Green SUV of the Year, the BMW i8 was named the 2015 Luxury Green Car of the Year and the Ford F-150 took the 2015 Green Car Technology Award honor. There is a case to be made that the aluminum body of the new Ford truck will make a bigger impact in the overall fuel usage in the US than almost any other vehicle, given the numbers of F-150s that Ford sells each year. The B20 biodiesel-capable Jeep gets up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway. And the i8 puts all sorts of new, fuel-saving technologies into an attractive package.
