Up for sale is an excellent condition 2002 Ford f350 7.3l Powerstroke 6 speed manual transmission 4x4. Pictures are of the truck dirty. I did not wash the truck before taking the pictures, it is dusty and dirty from 800 miles of driving.
Truck came from Washington state so there is minimal frame rust. Lariat package which was the highest luxury package available at the time. Heated bucket seats, gray leather interior. Rare and sought after 6 speed manual transmission with manual locking hubs and manual 4x4 engage. Extended cab for more space and long bed. History of the truck. It was bought in WA with 70k. I replaced the stock exhaust with a 4 in. and put in a high flow air filter. Has a 6 position tuner with a variety of settings, I keep it in economy mode. Service has been performed at the recommended intervals. Oil every 5k, runs Rotella T6 full synthetic. Diesel Kleen additive with every fill up to protect the fuel system. Trans, transfer, and differential fluids changed at 90k. Brand new starter 1 month ago. Both front ball joints have been replaced in the last 2 years. Driver side 4x4 hub cleaned, and passenger side hub was replaced. 2 Brand New Insterstate/Motorcraft Batteries last season. The truck is ready to go. Waxed and detailed twice a year. Salt washed off in the winter time. It was my daily driver. It has never towed or hauled anything while in my possession. It has been babied since I owned it. As such I got 21.5 highway. Your mileage may vary as I was not in a hurry. Drive this truck at 70+mph and it won't see 21.5. Drive nicely at 65 and you may even see 22mpg. Best I got was 23mpg. All these numbers hand calculated. No accidents no damage beyond normal scrapes and dings of a 12 year old truck. Mileage will continue to change as I still drive it. These trucks are hard to come by on this side of the country in this nice shape. Price is pretty firm as I don't need to sell it. Only selling because I want one with a Crew Cab, but I will keep it if it doesn't sell. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a truck this nice. There is no rust creeping around the seams of the doors, no painted over scuffs, and the frame is exactly as it appears not gobbed over with tar to hide overt rust. It took me four months to find one searching 3 sites daily. There may be others out there but they are hard to find. This is listed in Craigs locally in both Erie and Mountain Top PA as I travel between the two a couple times a month. Listing will end if the truck sells locally. |

Ford rakes in record $2.5b profit during Q1 of 2016
Thu, Apr 28 2016Fears that the auto industry is due for a downturn may be fading. Ford posted record profits in the first quarter of 2016, the company announced Thursday. Chief financial officer Bob Shanks said Ford enjoyed its best quarterly performance in history, generating operating profits of $3.8 billion and a record profit margin of 9.8 percent. Overall, the company's $2.5 billion profit in the quarter more than doubled from the 2015 quarterly results. "The first quarter was an absolutely terrific start to the year, an all-time record for the company, with very strong performance across the business," said chief executive officer Mark Fields. "We're excited about our future and confident in our ability to deliver long-term growth and profitability as we expand our business model to be both an auto and a mobility company." During the quarter, Ford announced the creation of Ford Smart Mobility, a new subsidiary that would vet future mobility projects in the realm of car-sharing, fractional ownership and autonomous deployment. The company also kicked off a billion-dollar makeover of its Dearborn, Michigan campus and headquarters. The company's after-tax earnings of $0.68 per share trumped Wall Street's expectations, and were significantly up from $0.39 per share a year ago. The results were buoyed by the company's fourth consecutive quarter of growth in Europe, which comes after a long period of stagnant sales. Ford's earnings results come amid reports that April car sales are on pace to jump 4 percent year over year, which would make it the best-selling April in history. Kelley Blue Book projects that car sales will reach 1.51 million this month, placing the industry on track for 17.5 million vehicles sold in 2016. Even as SUV and crossover sales drive the market, analysts say Nissan and Honda are positioned to benefit from renewed interest in mid-size cars. "Following a disappointing March, we expect sales to get back on track in April with SAAR in the mid-17 million range," said Tim Fleming, analyst for Kelley Blue Book. "Increased fleet sales and rising incentive spending among automakers remain the factors to watch, but the retail demand appears to be holding steady, signaling the industry's strong run isn't over quite yet." Xcar shows how to drive the Ford Model T
Wed, Jan 21 2015A couple of weeks ago Xcar posted a teaser review of the Ford Model T, a look at what the British duo would have been doing if they'd been doing their thing for 100 years. Now we have their complete, 12-minute take on the what might be, as they say, "arguably the most important car of the 20th century." Thankfully, instead of just a review, Xcar spends about half the time giving us a tour of history, from Ford's early days working for the Edison Illuminating Company to his racing days and founding of several car companies that either died or became other car companies after he left, like Cadillac. They also line up the pieces and the sales realities that led to Ford implementing – not creating, mind you – assembly-line production of the Tin Lizzie. And then they get into how crazy it is to drive, like how a driver needs two of the three pedals, the handbrake lever and a steering column stalk to get into high gear. Enjoy the video above on a 100-year-old car that is "unbelievably comfortable," "mildly terrifying" and ready to do just about anything.
First retail 2015 Ford Mustang headed to Barrett-Jackson
Fri, 20 Dec 2013Want to be the very first person to own a 2015 Ford Mustang GT? Here's what you'll need to do: be in Scottsdale, AZ on January 18 for the Barrett-Jackson auction and bring a very big checkbook. Having a passion for charity isn't a bad idea either.
Yes, the first 2015 Mustang to be sold to the public will be crossing the block at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, with proceeds from the auction going to JDRF, the charity formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
"Ford Mustangs have always been among the most popular collector cars at Barrett-Jackson Collector Car events," said the president of Barrett-Jackson, Steve Davis. "While every collector wishes they had snapped up the first Mustang sold in 1964, this is an opportunity to realize that dream in a different way."
