Year:1999 Mileage:73900
Location:

Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States

This listing is for a Ford F250 Super Duty Lariat.
It is a very low miles truck. I have owned it for 4 years and bought it with 65,000 miles on it, it has 73,900 now.
It has a 14 inch lift. Pro Comp Tires that have under 350 miles on them. 5:38 gears in both differentials. The turbo works great. It rides well for being as high as it is. It has a rhino lined bed. Original paint. Leather interior. Billet grill. Hubs and brakes were replaced when I bought the truck so they only have about 8,000 miles on them. The truck has two brand new Optima red top batteries. There aren't many 7.3Ls out there with milage this low. The engine is very reliable, starts great in the winter, has a working oil heater. The A/C controls work great, it still blows cold. This was a Texas truck and was in good condition when I bought it. The oil has been changed recently. It has new ProComp front stabilizer shocks. Truck sold as is. It's been a good truck for me, just time to find something a little smaller. The truck had a few quirks when I bought it, the grill is a little loose, the fenders were cut buy the previous owner to fit flares that did not come with the truck. It had two recalls that the previous owner did not complete and I took the truck to my local dealer to fix them. I will provide copies of the parts and services receipts I have for it. I also have a Chilton Manual for it that I will provide as well. The engine has been very reliable. The front ball joints have a little play in them but it still drives nicely. The lift mount on the right rear was re-welded  by a local mechanic because the previous owner had it done slightly off of where it should have been. There is very little rust anywhere on the undercarriage, and the rust it has is only surface rust. The truck is solid for being 15 years old. It is a rare one. I will be very sad to see it go. Message me with any questions you may have. The truck is for sale locally, I reserver the right to end the listing at any time.

2015 Ford Mustang spied on video for the first time

Thu, 20 Jun 2013

Not many cars will continue to hold our rapt attention quite like the upcoming redesigned 2015 Ford Mustang, codenamed S550 internally. Earlier this month, we brought you the first spy photos of a next-gen Mustang prototype out testing, and even though expertly placed cladding concealed the pony car's new shape, we could tell that underneath was hiding an altogether new form inspired by the Evos Concept from 2011.
Today we give you some video of what looks to be the same Mustang prototype, which you can watch below, and while the budding director behind the camera wasn't able to capture much in the way of the engine's audio signature, we can see the car in motion for the first time and compare its relative size and shape to the S197 Mustang GT that's on its tail.

Ford will keep Escape and MKC plant open an extra week to meet demand

Thu, Jun 8 2017

Crossovers keep selling like popular pastries, and for Ford, that means it needs to keep production going. The company announced that, rather than the usual two-week shutdown, its Louisville, Ky., assembly plant will be open for one of those weeks. The plant builds the Ford Escape and Lincoln MKC, which Ford reports have had record sales. According to Ford, Escape sales through May are up 3 percent, and MKC sales are up 10 percent compared with last year. In total, the Escape has sold about 130,000 units through May, and the MKC has sold around 11,000. Keeping the Louisville plant open will allow the company to build an additional 8,500 vehicles. Ford stated that all other assembly plants will continue with the two-week shutdown as scheduled. J Mays retiring from Ford design, succeeded by Moray Callum

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

Ford's highly influential head of design, J Mays, has announced that he'll be retiring from his position after 33 years in the industry, 16 of which were at the Dearborn, MI-based company. Upon departure, he'll be succeeded as group vice president of design by Moray Callum. If that last name sounds familiar, yes, he's the brother of Jaguar's Ian Callum.
It's difficult to explain just how big of a role Mays had on not just Ford's design over the years, but on the entire industry. Before heading to Dearborn, Mays worked for Audi, BMW and then Volkswagen, where he was involved in concept cars that paved the way for design icons like the first-generation Audi TT and the Volkswagen New Beetle. As for his Ford resume, it's extensive.
Mays joined the company in 1997 as design director for Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda, as well as the Premier Automotive Group (Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar and Aston Martin). He was heavily involved in the Ford Fusion, Focus, Fiesta, Taurus, F-150 and Mustang, while also contributing to concept cars like the Atlas, Evos, 427, Forty-Nine, Shelby GR-1, Lincoln MKZ and the MKC.
