Low Miles 7.3l Diesel Lifted on 2040-cars
Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States
This listing is for a Ford F250 Super Duty Lariat.
It is a very low miles truck. I have owned it for 4 years and bought it with 65,000 miles on it, it has 73,900 now. It has a 14 inch lift. Pro Comp Tires that have under 350 miles on them. 5:38 gears in both differentials. The turbo works great. It rides well for being as high as it is. It has a rhino lined bed. Original paint. Leather interior. Billet grill. Hubs and brakes were replaced when I bought the truck so they only have about 8,000 miles on them. The truck has two brand new Optima red top batteries. There aren't many 7.3Ls out there with milage this low. The engine is very reliable, starts great in the winter, has a working oil heater. The A/C controls work great, it still blows cold. This was a Texas truck and was in good condition when I bought it. The oil has been changed recently. It has new ProComp front stabilizer shocks. Truck sold as is. It's been a good truck for me, just time to find something a little smaller. The truck had a few quirks when I bought it, the grill is a little loose, the fenders were cut buy the previous owner to fit flares that did not come with the truck. It had two recalls that the previous owner did not complete and I took the truck to my local dealer to fix them. I will provide copies of the parts and services receipts I have for it. I also have a Chilton Manual for it that I will provide as well. The engine has been very reliable. The front ball joints have a little play in them but it still drives nicely. The lift mount on the right rear was re-welded by a local mechanic because the previous owner had it done slightly off of where it should have been. There is very little rust anywhere on the undercarriage, and the rust it has is only surface rust. The truck is solid for being 15 years old. It is a rare one. I will be very sad to see it go. Message me with any questions you may have. The truck is for sale locally, I reserver the right to end the listing at any time. |

Mustang GT350 reveal coming Nov 17?
Mon, 03 Nov 2014Ford looks to have something really big planned for the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Blue Oval has released the first of five teaser videos on the brand's performance heritage, and aside from some great images of racers over the years, the video includes a series of teaser images, the last of which points to November 17, 2014.
That's the day before press days open in LA, and considering the propensity of global automakers to plan lavish debuts the night before a major international auto show, it's a virtual certainty that Ford will be showing off some sort of special vehicle.
That'd be news in and of itself, but based on the images shown in Ford's teaser video - which include an Alcantara steering wheel, a "Powered by Ford" valve cover, aluminum pedals, sticky tires, a big, round exhaust tip, a honeycomb grille and a serious set of wheels - it seems very likely that Ford will be showing something performance oriented.
Compact SUV Comparison: Specs, pics and reviews of every brand's crossover
Wed, Jul 25 2018Honda CR-V vs Toyota RAV4. Chevy Equinox vs Ford Escape. Mazda CX-5 vs Subaru Forester. Whichever combinations of compact crossover SUV you're considering, there's probably a comparison test or chart out there to read. Heck, you can even create a three-car comparison yourself here at Autoblog. However, if you want a bunch of that information all in one convenient place, well, here it is. Our mega comparison of specs, features and photos of compact SUV entries from every mainstream manufacturer that sells them. That includes the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, 2018 Ford Escape, 2018 GMC Terrain, 2018 Honda CR-V, 2018 Hyundai Tucson, 2019 Jeep Cherokee (it's already on sale with notable changes from 2018), 2018 Jeep Compass, 2018 Kia Sportage, 2018 Mazda CX-5, 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross (none of Mitsu's SUVs are perfect fits for this segment, so we deemed the MEC the most competitive fit), 2018 Nissan Rogue, 2018 Subaru Forester, 2018 Toyota RAV4 and 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan. We can update this comparison as more information about 2019 models is released, most notably the Forester and RAV4. Now, there are certainly some models that are smaller (Nissan Rogue Sport) or larger (Kia Sorento) that could also be considered, but we figured it was wise to stick with those in this sweet spot of comparable size and price. We also included links to Autoblog reviews, buying guides and smaller comparisons. Engines and Transmissions With rare exception, this segment features four-cylinder power. Sometimes it's turbocharged, often its not, but standard engine outputs are generally in the same ballpark. Therefore, we'd recommend focusing on torque output, as it's what will make a difference around town or when passing, and weighing that versus fuel economy (the Chevy Equinox, GMC Terrain, Honda CR-V and Mazda CX-5 make particularly strong cases in this regard). Many drivers aren't too fond of continuously variable transmissions (CVT), either, so that's another thing to consider and note during a test drive. As you can see, several models are available with performance upgrades. Besides the Jeep Cherokee's available V6, all are more powerful turbocharged four-cylinder engines. The exception to this would be the Honda CR-V and Ford Escape, as their 1.5-liter turbo engines don't prioritize performance. Instead, they serve as overall upgrades to the base naturally aspirated engines standard on only their base trim levels (CR-V LX and Escape S).
This 2,000-hp Mustang is in serious need of wheelie bars
Tue, 25 Feb 2014The Ford Mustang on the right is drag racing with the standard technique. The Mustang on the left, driven by David Measell, is using a new "rear bumper only" technique that evidently surprised everyone at the South Georgia Motorsports Park strip - including Measell.
Measell said his outfit just bought the car the week before the event, noting that it has more than 2,000 horsepower. Speaking of his "flying" run, Measell said, "We turned it up to dip on down," by which he meant they turned up the power in order to get his time down. Turns out all that power and all that traction sent the nose straight up into the air almost as soon as the race began.
He told an interviewer afterward that this was his first race in a "regular car" since he normally drives a pro-mod. "I like my wheelie bars," he concluded. You can see how he got there in the video below.
