I am selling my 2000 ford f 250 super duty xlt crew cab 7.3 liter diesel 4x4. It has the well sought after 7.3 liter powerstroke diesel engine. It runs great! I would not be afraid to drive this truck anywhere. I have towed my 30' fifth wheel camper all over the country with no problems. i have bought a new truck so this one will have to go. I am a mechanic by trade so within the last year i have installed the following new parts; 4 new brake calipers, front brake pads, power steering pump and serpentine belt, Within the last two years i have installed new tie rod ends, drag link, left and right upper and lower ball joints, both front wheel bearing assemblies, and front axle joints. the transmission was replaced with a Ford remanufactured unit at 100,000 miles. add ons include: K&N Cold air intake, 4" Magnafow exhaust, I had a Edge attitude with Juice programmer but the programmer died last year. The Juice part of it is still good and will be left in the truck. ( you will need to install a new programmer to go with the juice part of it to make it work) brake controller for towing. as pictured the truck has tons of stainless add ons( grill, door hanldes, bed rails, lower rockers ), has a smoked bug deflector and rain covers on the door windows, also a taunue cover and a bed linner. It also has a awesome aftermarket Alpine stereo with single cd and mp3 player and XM ready, attached to that is a 1,500 watt Kenwood amp, 4 6" subs in a box behind the rear seat and a couple of tweeters in the rear. The Hankook Dynapro at'm tires have about 20,000 miles on them and i would guess about %70 of tread left. (Great tires) the only thing that i know that doesnt work on the truck are the passenger front and both rear automatic door locks. everything else works as it should. it has a power drivers seat along with all the other XLT power options. extendable mirrors for towing. That being said, the box does have rust around the quarters on both sides, along with some surface rust on the back door window area, and the tailgate has dents around the latch area from me dropping my 4 wheeler off the back.Along with other minor scrathes and dings expected on a 13 year old truck. pictures show the rust areas and dent in the tailgate.I am sure i have forgot something, so please ask any and all questions that you have. If you have a feedback of 5 or less please contact me before bidding or i will cancel your bid! Sorry, to many scammers out there. Buyer will have to pick up the truck or have it shipped at your expense. Call me with any questions you may have @ (906) 360-8264 ask for Ron Thanks for looking and good luck!

Ringbrothers shows off Coyote-powered 1968 Mercury Cougar
Thu, Feb 25 2021We'll openly admit that not every SEMA build is our cup of tea. But this? A tastefully resto-modded 1968 Mercury Cougar with a 460-horsepower Ford Mustang V8? Yeah, this is right in our wheelhouse. Sadly, there was no in-pwerson SEMA show in 2020, so we missed out on gems like this one. SEMA or no SEMA, the aftermarket carries on, and co-owners Jim and Mike Ring of Ringbrothers (get it?) saw no reason to let their time and effort go to waste. When they're not building wild customs (see: 1,100-horsepower 1972 AMC Javelin AMX) or more subtle showcases (such as this Cougar or their 1971 K5 Chevy Blazer build from 2018), the folks at Ringbrothers crank out factory reproduction parts, whether for old-fashioned restoration or modification purposes. While '60s muscle cars are recurring build subjects for the two, the Cougar was the first of its kind they tackled. Keeping it in the family, Ringbrothers sourced a Ford 5.0-liter "Coyote" V8 and a 10-Speed Automatic (lifted from an F-150 Raptor, incidentally) for the build. They didn't stop with the driveline, of course. The suspension was overhauled with a little help from DSE and a set of HRE Series C1 C103 Forged 3-Piece wheels were thrown over upgraded brakes. "We put our heart into each car we build, and this Cougar is no exception," Jim said. "The finished product is mild and classy, yet any enthusiast instantly knows it's not stock. I imagine this is what Mercury designers would have come up with if they were building the Cougar today." "While we couldn't bring the car to the SEMA Show, we hope it can be shown to the public soon," Mike said. "We had never done a Cougar before, so this was a fun build. I love working with new shapes and coming up with new ideas." There's plenty to appreciate about this Cougar apart from the mechanicals, too. The finish is Augusta Green Metallic (courtesy of BASF), which was a factory color in 1968. You may know it by another name: Highland Green. There are a few custom exterior touches, but they're quite subtle and styled to be period-correct. The interior was also restored and updated, and it's where you'll find the only thing we're not fond of: that big, fat truck shifter. Gearbox choices notwithstanding, it's a bit of an eyesore. But considering how gorgeous the rest is, we'll give it a pass. Related Video:
2015 Ford Focus ST gets sleeker style, improved dynamics
Thu, 26 Jun 2014The Brits don't really have a major auto show these days. Not in a conventional sense, anyway, with stationary vehicles under floodlights in a closed exposition space. What they do have, you could argue, is much better: the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the public can view the latest machinery not only under an open sky, but in motion as well, speeding up Lord March's front lawn. And this year, British automakers are rolling in with some very enticing new metal.
In the past few days alone we've confirmed the McLaren 650S GT3 and MSO, Jaguar F-Type Project 7, Range Rover Sport SVR and Ariel Ace will all be revealed for the first time at Goodwood this weekend. Ford isn't, strictly speaking, a British automaker, but for all its history in the UK, it might as well. So it's chosen Goodwood as the site to unveil its refreshed Focus ST.
The upgraded Blue Oval hot hatch still packs a 2.0-liter turbo four with 252 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque driving through a six-speed manual to the front wheels, so we're not expecting much change in measurable performance. But Ford has given the new Focus ST a new front suspension setup and a new electric power-assisted steering rack that combine to promise improved handling.
Ford reveals concept trucks that ultimately became Atlas
Wed, 03 Apr 2013The Ford Atlas Concept was one of the quiet success stories of the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, and now Ford has given us a quick glimpse as to how that creation came to be. Designers actually combined two early sketches to build the Atlas. One, called the Bullet Train, is a futuristic, aerodynamic creation, while the other, aptly named the Locomotive, features the squared off proportions we're familiar with.
Once designers settled on the truck's proportions, they began nailing down exactly which attributes they wanted the final design to have. The Concept's notched windshield originated as a forked glass roof that seamlessly transitioned into the windscreen.
Likewise, designers wanted to fit the truck's tailgate with a storage compartment for tools and a first aid kit, but settled on the dual-purpose step/cargo cradle. Interestingly enough, the concept's active aero shutter wheels actually originated in some of the earliest sketches. Check out the photos and slides here for a closer look.
