Flatbed 4x4 Powerstroke Ford F250 Extended Cab on 2040-cars
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States
5 speed 4X4 work truck!
This truck is about 20 years old, so expect some of the typical wear and tear for the year. That being said, it has a lot of new parts, new tires, the batteries are both a year old, the flatbed was built and installed last year (LED Lights). The turbo was replaced three years ago and the airbox replaced with a bullydog intake. The front leaf springs are two years old. The front and rear absorbers are two years old, and the rear end has 5k lbs air bags on it, on board air compressor with in the cab controls. The four wheel drive shift linkage was replaced two years ago and the front manual lockers are easy to operate. This is a work truck, it is ugly and has issues, there is no warranty. However the engine runs strong and it is currently PA inspected. Also, in the pictures, it is holding a pallet with 2800 lbs of concrete, it barely squats. This thing will hold tons, and pull down a house if you chained it up right. The issues are as follows -Ugly paint -Front fuel tank is difficult to fill rear tank must be filled slowly -Synchros in between 2+3 are going, truck runs but needs shifted with care. I drive this to and from jobs currently so mileage may change. I hate to sell this truck, but its in my fleet of vehicles I need to sell because of my newborn baby. I have several motorcycles and an old miata that need to go as well, so check out my other auctions. Please don't bid if you think you're getting a brand new truck, as I don't want anyone to fly here and then give me a bunch of guff because they have unreasonable expectations of an old vehicle or because I did a poor job describing it. Sooooooooo, if you have any apprehensions or questions or anything, don't bid, call me first, or text me (preferably as I cannot answer my phone at work) My phone number is 717-554-9448, my name is Patrick, call me and talk to me if you are unsure of anything about this auction. |

Ford forced to recall Escape over fire risk yet again
Tue, 26 Nov 2013Recalls happen. Automakers hope they won't, but they do. And that's alright, for the most part, because cars are designed (and to a large degree still made) by humans, and humans make mistakes. So we forgive them, as long as the problem is resolved. Only in the case of the Ford Escape, the problem seems to keep coming back.
That's why Ford is calling in the Escape yet again due to fire concerns. The issue revolves around problematic fuel lines in 9,469 units manufactured between October 5, 2011, and July 11, 2012, all of which use the 1.6-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder engine.
As you yourself may recall, the Escape was subject to a string of recalls last year that resulted in a $17 million fine. One of them was over this very same issue, which Ford apparently didn't rectify the first time around. Let's hope this time is the last time.
2015 Ford Mustang leaked in Autoweek
Tue, 03 Dec 2013We would have to imagine that Ford knew it couldn't keep its 2015 Mustang under wraps for too long, and with only days to go before the pony car's official unveiling, the dam seems to be cracking. SVTPerformance.com member Screamin 40th just posted some images taken of the sixth-gen Mustang prominently featured in and on the cover of the December 9 issue of Autoweek magazine.
These images show that recent renderings we saw weren't too far off. The face is just like what we saw in spy shots a few months back, but the rear of the car features some of its more striking cues. Starting with the pronounced haunches and hidden B-pillars, the rear view of the new Mustang might be its best with the ridged, three-bar taillights, a rear diffuser and the lack of a faux gas cap, which allows the galloping pony to be an even more prominent element against the black trim.
The images also reveal a small portion of the updated interior carrying over retro themes like the deep-dish steering wheel and dual-gauge instrument cluster, but it also adds some modern tech with a big infotainment displays and a clean center stack layout. No official word on powertrain or other specs, but while we can't make out most of the magazine's text, our eyes did catch mentions of an independent rear suspension and a 200-pound weight reduction.
Four Wheeler crowns Ultimate Factory 4x4... who wins?
Thu, 15 Nov 2012Nearly every automaker doing business in the SUV or pickup truck segments offers a package designed to improve the off-road capabilities of its wares. But, of course, not all such factory kits are created equal. How, then, to separate the wheat from the chaff? Gather each of them up and put them through their paces, naturally.
The folks from Four Wheeler and PickupTrucks.com joined forces to run just such a comparison test, with the winner named the Ultimate Factory 4x4. A total of seven vehicles showed up to the fight: the 2012 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, 2012 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X and Xterra PRO-4X, 2012 Ram Power Wagon, and 2012 Toyota 4Runner Trail and Tacoma TRD T|X Baja Series.
With the contestants in place, the whole crew put each vehicle through a battery of tests that included skidpad and acceleration measurements, a hillclimb, a rocky stairstep course and a rock garden. Considering the nature of the beasts, on-road ride and comfort were not part of the routine.
