Trust me they are not cheep, but worth the extra if you can swing it. The body is near flawless, you just do not see these like this anymore. Beautiful glossey origional paint, nice straight panels with almost no dents dings or scrapes, It dont have the normal wear and tear that most trucks have, this was a true pappy truck. The frame is geourgous with no scale perfect oil pan, brake lines, and ect... Now to drive it, Good Lord I promise you feel like your driving a 2012 truck. The 7.3 fires right up even ice cold plenty of power when you throttle up, nice tight front end with good ball joints, ty rods, brakes, and when your booging down the interstate at 75/80 you will find no pulling, wandering around or vibrations just tight and straight, trans shifts great no bangs slips or other issues. No leaks drips & new PA state inspection, good rubber, fresh filters and fliuds, dont think you need to do anything. Great interior non smokers, no rips tears cracks, all power options working good, good a/c heater, both fuel gauges working, truck is special and a must see in person and you'll see why I paid so much to get it, there is a difference than the one selling for 9 grand trust me. I'm not the jealous type... usually. But I will fully admit to being somewhat of a Pouty Polly when I read executive editor Chris Paukert's report after driving the then-new 2013 Ford Focus ST through the impossibly pretty southern French Alps region last June. I feel like a broken record saying this yet again, but hot hatchbacks hold a special place in my heart. And while I'm always giddy to drive any sort of small, turbocharged three- or five-door at home in Detroit, my jealousy was indeed piqued after hearing Paukert tell about the challenging yet breathtaking roads he encountered while driving the flamin' yellow Focus. You know, the sort of roads that, from above, look like carelessly drizzled lines of icing on the frosted Alpen caps.
Several months later, I found myself piloting a Focus ST just west of metro Detroit, pitting it head-to-head against one of Autoblog's perennial favorite cars, the Volkswagen GTI. It was fantastic - enough so that I fully stand behind my statement that in terms of balls-out performance, the Focus ST cannot be beat as far as today's front-wheel-drive hatches are concerned.
Ford promises 12 new global performance vehicles through 2020
Thu, Dec 11 2014Ford just keeps rolling out the big announcements today. We've already told you about the next-gen Focus RS coming to the US and the upcoming Sync 3 infotainment system. And this latest one should perk up the ears of racing fans or anyone who enjoys an enthusiastic drive (basically, all Autoblog readers). The Blue Oval says it has "more than 12" new performance vehicles on the way globally through 2020. Unfortunately, the only one that the automaker confirms at the moment is the Focus RS, but recent rumors might suggest a few others. Ford reportedly has the Shelby Mustang GT350R, next-gen F-150 Raptor and a Ford GT successor all on the way, all of which could possibly debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January. The future GT might even take the company back to racing at Le Mans. Speaking of motorsports, Ford is also blending its performance vehicle and racing efforts worldwide into a unified entity by combining SVT, Team RS and Ford Racing into a new organization called Ford Performance. It's responsible not just for excelling on the track but also for developing aero improvements, electronics, powertrain and lightweight tech for the Blue Oval's vehicles. "Our new global Ford Performance team ties together racing, performance vehicles and parts. It will allow us to more quickly introduce products and accessories that meet the needs of customers around the world on-road and on the track," said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development, in the company's press release. The automaker thinks this market might be booming, especially among younger buyers. For example, recent data shows Millennials buy ST models at twice the rate of the rest of Ford's cars.
