Hello diesel family and friends!!!! I know these 7.3 Powerstroke diesel trucks inside and out and I personally drive one and love these trucks so very much. What I hate the older ones here in the northeast since they just melt away from all the rot and bondo they are loaded up with so I fly out west to California Arizona and other west coast states, and deep in the south to buy a few creampuff 1 owners and drive them home to sell in the northeast to folks who have never seen a no rust old vehicles. Trust me they are not cheep, but worth the extra if you can swing it. This sweet powerstroke was purchased from the far west in Washington State from a new Ford dealer. The truck is 100% all original paint and 100% no rust. Good straight truck, flawless frame, oil pan, brake lines, doors, bed sides no bubbles no nothing, hard to believe but this is what its like in the north west USA!! Mechanically wonderful. Truck had a new upgraded tranny at 150K with recipt, recent rebuilt front end, ball joints ect... the 7.3 fires right up good hot injectors, glow plugs and batteries, no smoke or blow by, tight front end, good brakes, rotors and rubber. Inside the interior is clean no smells no smoking. Everything working and cold a/c and hot heat. You can find lower miles and pay much more money but you wont find a cleaner nicer driving powerstroke than this black beauty right here. GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups
Mon, 14 Oct 2013General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes
Thu, 10 May 2012When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.
Inside Ford's high-tech climate chamber
Sat, Dec 27 2014There are two ways an automaker can test its vehicles in extreme climates: it can send said vehicle around the world – from Death Valley to the Arctic Circle – in search of the harshest weather, or it can recreate those conditions in an enclosed environment. We're sure that many automakers undertake some combination of both, but in this latest video clip, Ford shows us around inside it's state-of-the-art climate chamber. At its Driveability Test Facility in Allen Park, MI – inaugurated in 2010 just across the street from the Roush Technology Center – Ford can simulate all sorts of extreme conditions. It can drop the temperature down to -40 degrees Fahrenheit or raise it up to 130, and take it up to a simulated 12,000 feet above sea level or drop it down to 280 feet below. blast it with 150-mile-per-hour winds. It can control the level of humidity, approximate the intensity of the sun and even blast the test vehicle with artificial snow, just like your favorite ski resort. The facility strikes us as an engineering feat as impressive as some of the vehicles it's used to test, but don't take our word for it – scope it out for yourself in this brief two-minute video clip, which even includes some helpful tips for winter driving this holiday season and beyond.
